Damn, I haven't managed to track down their first release yet for a decent price....

I remember there was something about the debut that didn't gel for me. I heard the opening track on this CD yesterday, though, and it was awesome. It really sounded like they're back to do something great. I'm really looking forward to hearing the rest of this thing.

 

I still haven't got a hard copy of the debut either.

CDJapan had License To Thrill, for those willing to pay $30-35 maybe it is worth the wait to see if they have a Japan version and get that instead.

 

The CD is out, but I am guessing that distribution has not made it very far.

Got a sneaky listen to the new album last night... extremely good stuff. I think the reason the debut did not gel with me was due to the vocals which I found hard to understand. There is no doubt there is a thick accent and topped with that "sleaze accent" too... but he sounds much better this time.

 

They've really stepped it up in terms of song quality, imo, and there are some fantastic songs on this. Particularly, 'She's in Love,' 'Baby Shoot Me Down,' and 'Heart Screams.' Some absolutely awesome solos too.

 

Really a very strong CD and it's up close to Miss Behaviour and Bad Habit as the early releases to watch this year.

I agree, I listened to this last night and it is very good. They seem to really have the raw attitude and have transferred that to the music. Aside from the songs that Geoff mentions above, Get A Gun, Addicted To Failure, Dead Boy are great too. Actually I didn't hear a track I didn't like or at least find promise in the first few times through. Kick ass guitar work is what I noticed as well.

Yeah, I can't believe I forgot to mention 'Addicted To Failure' which is actually my fave off the disc. 'Dead boy' reminds me 100% of fellow killer sleaze band Sister. I love the opener too, 'Get a gun' but I have to admit that even a few listens in those opening gang vocal chants are annoying the shit out of me. Otherwise a great track.

At almost 1 Euro to £1, that's still too steep for me. Maybe it will appear cheaper on Amazon or eBay soon. Otherwise they're just encouraging illegal download, which sucks for a band trying to earn a few quid.

probably in a month or two, we can see a reasonable £9 disc on Amazon, cause their debut is there with that price, it's ridiculuos for them and the band to sell it 50% higher
