Hi Everyone

I have JUST joined this site and just saw this and thought introducing myself was a good place to start so here goes.

My real name is Tash or some people shorten my nick name to BAMM or Maiden .. I answer to pretty much anything as long as its not rude .. even 'hey you' ..lol

I am from New Zealand and have been into rock and metal since the 80s.

I found out about this site from a friend of mine some of you may know Pete of FARCRY. I am looking forward to finding my way round and getting to meet some awesome people and lovers of some kick ass music :) There are too many bands to list that I really like but here is a few to give you an idea... If its 80s rock or metal its pretty much a guarantee I LOVE IT ... and by virtue of that, a lot of 90s and recent stuff too ... I listen to everything from Bon Jovi and Poison to Metallica and Iron Maiden and everything in between.

As I said I look forward to meeting and getting to know lots of people here .. and thanks for having me :)

Keep Rocking .. Tash \m/ :git::unsure:

Welcome, Tash. Unfortunately we cannot all live up to the kind of handsome you'll have come to expect, being an acquaintance of Pete, but we'll try out best. Party hard, and nice to see another person here from the best part of the world. :)

House rules state that the newb buys the next round of beers. I'll have something expensive, in a tall frosted glass please. And make it snappy! :lol:

    • Don't know if this right place.  Eonian Records are going be release a compilation of the early stuff by Wildstreet
    • Grabbed this based on first track,,,don't get me wrong its ok...but the first few tracks are excellent..kinda tails off after that for me.
    • Received this through the week,pretty good not amazing but nice to see a new release from them after all of these years and fair play that they are still going as a band.
    • From Eonian Records: LEGACY’s Hello, New World features all brand new studio recordings with all five original members celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the band.  With an infectious, anthemic sound, Legacy has embraced the classic elements of early to mid-eighties metal with influences from Dokken, Scorpions, and Stryper. Legacy’s signature sound is built around the dynamic interplay between Matthew Rice and Fred Blanchard’s fiery, virtuosic guitar work creating a rich, harmonically layered sound and Doug Meacham’s melodic, soaring vocals with the band’s trademark harmonized vocals. The rhythm section, with its powerful bass lines of John D. Rice and drumming of John Jenkins, provides a solid foundation drawing influences from both the melodic side of hard rock and the more riff-driven approach of traditional metal. Yet, Legacy also shows they can write catchy mainstream rock songs, still with the classic Legacy edge all with an uplifting message. 1. These Five Words 2. Change of a Broken Heart 3. Sidewalk Space 4. 21 5. Take My Breath Away 6. Forever in Your Arms 7. With A Shout 8. Chains On My Heart LEGACY is: Doug Meacham on Lead Vocals John D. Rice on Bass and Background Vocals Fred Blanchard on Guitar, Keys, & Background Vocals Matthew Rice on Lead Guitar & Background Vocals John Jenkins on Drums
    • From Eonian Records: “GASTEM is a band for those that don’t find ‘intelligence’ a dirty word.” That’s how journalist Douglas Gill described the Maryland-born Rock band in 1986 when he reviewed their 2nd album, Do It Like Wild for Maryland Musician Magazine. Now, almost 40-years later, they’ve returned with an all-new album, GASTEM III, which not only marks a return to form for the talented AOR band, but it’s already garnered great reviews weeks after its release on October 31st. “The band is on fire, as fans would expect, and Galpin’s high-caliber vocal decorum weaves Pop sweetness into a dangerously alluring Rock ‘n’ Roll jawbreaker!” GASTEM Is: Rob Galpin - Lead Vocals, Guitar, Piano, Keyboards Mark Schenker - Bass, Piano, Keyboards, Taurus Pedals Craig Stegall - Drums 1. So High 2. Did You See That Girl 3. Joe Ellen 4. Come Back For Me 5. Kiss Me Like You Love Me 6. Taking It All 7. Anyway 8. Bloodsucker 9. Lean On Me 10. While You Were Out 11. Stay With Me 12.
