I'm gonna miss Numb3rs , Lost and Flash Forward.....it was time for Lost to go but they didn't give FF a decent chance and the bastards are going to leave fans high and dry....I think that is the last "Lost" type series that I'm going to watch, from now on if the show doesn't get renewed for a second season then I'm not watching....

I can always buy the DVD releases or download the series if it turns out to be worth watching and it lasts...

I wonder why there moving "The Big Bang Theory" to Thursday's?

Also strange that CSI:NY would be moved to Fridays when their ratings are very strong on Wednesday when advertising dollars are better.

Nice to see Human Targer is returning and it's even better that Fringe is back.

These damn networks waste so much time and money cancelling shows that people actually watch and bring in shows no one cares about. Look at Ghost Whisperer. I don't watch it but from what I understand they had been winning their time slot on Fridays for 4 years and they get cancelled and Medium gets another season but their ratings were very close to being the same.

More cancellations and moving of shows:

FOX has been going through quite a few changes these past couple of days. It not only cancelled its new series Lone Star and moved up the Lie to Me Season 3 premiere in its timeslot, but we are now learning that the HUMAN TARGET Season 2 premiere has been pushed back from this Friday October 1 to Wednesday November 17 at 8pm.

This is a shame because the season 2 premiere “Ilsa Pucci” is a really great episode and while it doesn’t make up for the wait you check out our advance review of the episode here. In addition, you can check out photos from the premiere here and here. Finally, you can find all our Human Target coverage here.

This worries me that they might cancel Human Target as well. I'm not sure what's Fox's thinking here. Maybe their thinking waiting until the MLB playoffs are over is the best but this show was supposed to kick off tonight and pushing it back makes me think they'll pull the plug later but I hope I'm wrong.

As for the new shows I've loved Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0, The Event, Boardwalk Empire and Chase. I have Detroit 187 on my DVR but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

ABC has canceled one of their new shows as well; "My Generation". By all accounts, FOX's "The Good Guys" and NBC's "Outlaw" are on the chopping block too.

My thoughts on the new shows I've checked out so far....

Boardwalk Empire - Excellent stuff.

Mike & Molly - Cute. Not a must see, but pretty funny.

The Event - Nowhere close to being in the same league as "Lost", but pretty decent so far. I'll keep watching as long as they keep giving timely answers, and NBC keeps showing it.

No Ordinary Family - Really surprised at how good this was. This had the potential to be a cheese fest, but the "family becomes superheroes" story has been done really well here.

Raising Hope - HILARIOUS new comedy from the same guys who did "My Name is Earl"

Running Wilde - AWFUL...just f'n awful. Not funny...at all. How the hell this got picked up boggles the mind.

Undercovers - YIKES. This is one of the shows I was looking forward to, and it bored the hell outta me. It also looks to be in trouble ratings wise.

Better With You - Not Funny... will probably not watch again.

The Defenders - Surprise of the season for me. I didn't think this would be all that great, but Jerry O'connell and Jim Belushi work really well together. Surprisingly good.

S#!t My Dad Says - Eh. A few funny lines here and there, but there is ZERO chemistry between Shatner and the guy who plays his son (the one who just moved in). Will probably watch a few more episodes cause it comes on right after Big Bang Theory.

Outsourced - Ugh. Not funny.... only reason I watched the second episode is because it comes on right after The Office and I was too lazy to change the channel.

The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret - Friday nights on IFC. Laughed my ass off watching the first episode last night.

I've only caught part of Defenders in the pilot episode and thought it was better than I expected but I forgot about it this week.

If you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods.

Not suprised since they buried that on Friday night plus just my opinion but Jimmy Smits can't carry a show by himself.

Speaking of Fridays I'm still shocked that CBS moved CSI:NY to Friday plus they stuck the awesome Blue Bloods on Fridays as well.

A few more casualties; FOX is canceling "The Good Guys" and "Running Wilde":

http://tvbythenumber...-canceled/72899

Cancellations & shows "on the bubble" so far:

ABC:

Canceled - My Generation, The Whole Truth

As good as gone - Detroit 1-8-7

Teetering on the brink - Better With You, No Ordinary Family

CBS:

Canceled - Medium

Teetering - The Defenders (This SUCKS! The show wins its time slot every week, averages near 10 million viewers each week, but because it's their lowest rated new drama in the almighty 18-49 demographic, it's probably a goner) :thppt:

$#!4 My Dad Says (not holding on to enough of The big Bang Theory's audience)

CSI Miami, The Good Wife

NBC:

Canceled - Outlaw, Undercovers

Teetering - Chase, The Event, Chuck, Parenthood, Community (highly underrated comedy; I love the fact that they don't use those annoying laugh tracks)

FOX:

Canceled - Lonestar, The Good Guys, Running Wilde

Teetering - Lie to Me, Fringe (being moved to Fridays after the New Year) :crying:

American Dad (lowest rated animated series; if any of their new animated shows coming up do well, it's a goner)

NBC ordered a full season of Chase so don't think that was is going to be cancelled yet with ratings consistantly in the 5 million range I don't see it lasting especially going up against Castle and Hawaii Five O.

Detroit 187- While not great has gotten better week to week and is a weak time slot so I think that might survive for a while.

Defenders - I'd be shocked to see this get cancelled since it's winning it's time slot but CBS did that to the Ghost Whisperer last season there is a precedent for this happening.

The only ones I'll miss....

Chase.....just needs a new time slot to be successful

CSI Miami.....worst of the CSI shows so I'm not surprised to see it on the edge

The Event.....not sold on this one but I'd like to see it given a better chance...hope they at least give it a proper ending...

I agree about Chase and The Event and also hope that The Event gets a proper ending that at least makes sense.

I stopped watching CSI Miami about 4 years ago as it got just to ridiculous IMO and really haven't enjoyed it since Rory Cochrane left the show.

Castle is great. Hawaii Five O I will probably catch on DVD when it comes out. watched the first episode and liked it. Don't forget that these shows are also going against Monday Night Football.

I know you like these shows(as do I) that are a little darker but have you ever seen 'The Black Donnelys'?

It's about 4 years old but was cancelled after 14 episodes but it's awesome Irish Mob show about four brothers. This should of been a hit.

I think it was on NBC(which explains a lot) and yes it's on DVD as I rented it from Netflix. It had Olivia Wilde who is kind of becoming a star in her own right after being on House and is in the upcoming movie Tron: Legacy. It also had the kid who played "Smalls" in The Sandlot but he's grown up in the this and is a crazy bad mofo. Also had Keith Nobbs("Runner" in the Pacific) plus many other known actors. Yes it's badass and very dark and violent but it's to damn bad that this didn't air on Showtime like "Brotherhood" did because this show is even better IMO.

Well one of my fav shows has gotten the axe already, "Lights Out" on FX.

A damn good show IMO and this after FX cancelled another great show from last fall, "Terriers". I can't blame them as these shows couldn't even pull in a million viewers but I'm not sure what's going on with FX. Besides The Shield and Sons of Anarchy they've struggled to get their shows to find long term audiences. I sure hope that they give "Justified" more seasons but I imagine that their ratings are better since they got a 2nd season.

Also it appears that "Detroit 187" and "V" will be going away on permanent vacations and that's a shame. For some reason neither of these shows never fit in at ABC but both got better as they went along. Detroit got better and better as the season went on and gave away more and more about each character but it just didn't move fast enough so I can see why some would lose interest. The ratings weren't horrible but probably not good enought to get renewed plus they shoot in Detroit and the tax breaks studios were getting for shooting there are going away which is big obstacle. V while having a few bumps in the road got better the last half of season two and the way it ended had me psyched for a season 3 especially with the new underground anti-V group ran by the Government and with Tyler being murdered and Father Jack being "Blissed" there left a lot to look forward to but it probably won't happen.

I just stated a sepreate thread but I will say that the new A&E show "Breakout Kings" is awesome and I'm looking forward to the new AMC show "The Killing".

I've never watched Lights Out so I can't comment on that show. However I did watch Terriers and while I thought it was okay I can't say that I will miss it.

I stopped watching Detroit 187 after about 4 episodes, it just didn't do anything for me and I didn't buy Michael Imperioli as the lead....

I had high hopes for V but after 1 season and part of the 2nd season I lost interest as it seemed to be a soap opera with aliens...

I've been watching Breakout Kings and once again it's okay but nothing fantastic...I'm not sure how much longer it will keep my attention...

I am looking forward to The Killing also The Borgias and Game Of Thrones...I checked out the first episode of Body of Proof last night which wasn't too bad, we'll see how it goes over the next few eps...

Camelot just started on Starz and I have it on my DVR but haven't watched it yet. If it's half as good as what Starz did with Spartacus it will be a must watch.
