[*]Loud and Clear Disc-Connected

[*]Anberlin - never take friendship personal

Good calls. I wanted to squeeze Newman and Harem Scarem in too, but just couldn't find that one album to include.

I purposefully left modern out.....would have been a few in there for sure. Surprised no Scarem in there for you?? Higher and WOTW are massive albums for me.

On a sidenote isnt Steelhouse '99?? Otherwise that would definitely make my list.

[also surprised no Hinder for you??!]

Sorry mate, I misunderstood. I thought you just meant 10 years going back from 2009. Here's my edit from 2000 on:

1. Cauterize - 'So far from real'

2. Cauterize - 'Paper Wings / Disguises'

3. A Change of Pace - 'Prepare the masses'

4. Yellowcard - 'Paper walls'

5. Hinder - 'Take it to the limit'

6. SR-71 - 'Here we go again'

7. Frontline - 'Almost unreleased'

8. Teer - s/t

9. Steel Panther - 'Feel the steel'

10. Wig Wam - 'Wig Wamania'

11. Shadows Fade - s/t

12. Funeral For A Friend - 'Tales don't tell themselves'

13. HEAT - s/t

14. SR-71 - 'Tomorrow'

15. Silly Fools - 'The One'

16. Blanc Faces - s/t

17. Place Vendome - 'Streets of fire'

18. Blind Date - s/t

19. Butch Walker - 'Left of self-centered'

20. Marcello/Vestry - s/t

As for Harem Scarem, I love all the songs on all releases in my list except maybe the odd one. I love all the Harem Scarem releases but they all have at least a few fillers. I really wanted one there...

well you could take out FFAF and put one (HS that is) in there ;-))

& Hinder > A Change Of Pace (just).

Have you heard that FFAF disc? It's a lot lighter than their others and sooooo freakin' melodic. More AOR than modern rock. I'd be amazed if you didn't dig that one, even if you're not a fan of their other three.

As for the secod statement, I couldn't disagree. I can't really separate the 2 bands but I kind of view 'Prepare the masses' as the Bue Tears - s/t of modern rock. Over-the-top perfect, huge production, massive backing vocals, each chorus designed to decapitate the listener and each song contains about 80 massive hooks. That album's really something special to me. And that's why it tops Hinder.... only just, though.

No idea whatsoever why you go on about either band. Totally mediocre IMO.

Crashdiet's debut and Crazy Lixx would probably both be in my top 30 or 40. Your heads would both explode if you heard the Teargas EP. If they'd released a full disc it'd probably be in my top 5 for the decade.

ANd then there's Teargas, who don't fit into any of the above.
