Again one of those lurkers

Hi, I'm Hans from The Netherlands (don't know if there's already someone else one with that name aboard because it's a quite common name overhere).

I've been using this website for many years already and have also traded cd's a lot over the last 10 years, and also with some members of this site. If there's a stereo-type rock-fan than I'm afraid it's certainly not me, don't drink, don't have long hair and don't like naked girls .... (they should at least were shoes or boots). But on the other hand I do like various styles of rock music. My favorite style is (catchy) melodic rock and AOR, but I also like occasionally symfo/prog or even some heavy metal. I used to be a great fan of NWOBHM in the 80-ties and have replaced most of my lp's from that era with cd's but when I play them now I've noticed that I prefer a more polished sound and don't like them as much as I used to.

I will try to use these forums a bit more and can't wait until I can finally post something on the trade forum.

I have a feeling we may have traded a long, long time ago back when I used to work with P&O. Anyway, it was a great trade if you're the guy (there's not many Hans' is Holland are there - ) but yeah, welcome aboard anyway. Matt will put your coat on the rack by the door and feel free to help yourself to a complimentary plate of nachos, supplied by our kitchen-hand, Wes.

Greetings and felicitations. Board rules state that the first round of beers are on the house, then the next round is on you :drink:

You hit the nail on the head there.

Geoff, as memory serves me right I also think we have made one or even more trades in the past, and

it was always a pleasure dealing with you, so maybe we can hook each other up with some stuff in the future. :guitbannana:

I knew it... sometimes this memory thing actually works okay for me. Future trades sound cool too. :)

Who the hell made me the kitchen hand? :taz:

I'll be to busy playing Naked Twister and devouring Nork Muffins for that nonsense.

    • From Frontiers: Frontiers Music is thrilled to announce the signing of Powell-Payne a dynamic four-piece band hailing from West Wales, United Kingdom! Formed by founding members Mark ""Penfold"" Powell (ex-drummer of Psycho Kiss) and Adam Payne (former vocalist of Airrace) in 2022, Powell-Payne's journey began with a single goal - to create a heartfelt song dedicated to their lost loved ones. Joined by their dear friends Adam Davies on guitar and Steve Leyshon on keyboards, Powell-Payne quickly realised the magic of their collaboration and decided to embark on a full album project together. Expanding their lineup to include the exceptional talents of Aydan Watkins on guitar and Alex Anderson on bass guitar, Powell-Payne is ready to rock the world with their electrifying sound! Watch the video "Distance Between us":
    • These guys can be found with the silver bells and cockleshells.
    • From the KC FB page: Kingdom Come is excited to announce a 'Return to the Kingdom'   Kingdom Come will be kicking off 2024 with a new lineup, management, a new album, and a brand-new tour, starting March 15th at The Lamp Theatre in Irwin, PA. And the following night, March 16th, we will be in Lakewood, OH, at Mercury Music Lounge.  Two new band members will be joining our lineup. Veteran touring drummer Matt Muckle (Paul Gilbert, Lynch Mob) will be taking over drums for our dear recently-departed brother, James Kottak. And we're introducing the incredible Ezekiel Kaplan as our new vocalist.  We hope to see you all in March, and out on the road this year, as we 'Return to the Kingdom' to continue the legacy of Kingdom Come!  👑 https://kingdomcomerockband.com
    • I think it's the other way around.  Still it's a very hooky album. I often thought a song doesn't necessarily have to end at 3:00 minutes. The endings are too abrupt sometimes.
    • No Line On The Horizon-U2
    • Last World-Beautiful Illusion  Kenny McGee-The Picture
    • It was Bryan Wolski I was thinking of. Victor played in Mitch Malloy's band at Firefest.
    • Out of Exile - Audioslave
    • Victor didn't play on the last release by Blue Tears.
    • This is one killer CD in my option!
