  2. It depends if you believe the conspiracies or not.... http://in-1966.beforeitsnews.com/eu/2015/02/ringo-says-paul-died-in-1966-2579186.html
  3. according to wikipaedia... re: Aerosmith "However, drug addiction and internal conflict took their toll on the band, which resulted in the departures of Perry and Whitford in 1979 and 1981, respectively; they were replaced by Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay"
  4. Cinderella.... althouhg by heavy harmonies they were 1 member short on 1 studio album.
  5. I told you you've changed Geoff!!!! Read this: http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=19990&p=446811 "Wow, definitely into this. Firstly, the band look f*cking awesome (and not in a... oh f*ckit, of course it's in a gay way!) and although I agree with Wes that it's not exactly amazing stuff, it's pretty cool and I'd love to see them tweak their sound a bit and release something awesome. Definitely a good start." Haha. But is the point in those two posts really any different? Sure, I was a bit more animated in the original post, but when it comes to the music I say "not exactly amazing stuff, it's pretty cool." Isn't that basically the same as the tunes being "half decent?" I'm not sure your mission in handing me a beatdown really succeeded there, you wild beast from the Adelaide Hills. I think the point from both my posts is that it's not terrible stuff, but it would need a lot of polish to come off any good on a CD release. I guess I can let you off this time becasue the comment on the music in both posts is consistent. It's just that the first time round you were ready to mount them, this time not so much.

  7. Rating should also be accompanied by your current mood: When you're in the mood to 'smash shit up' this rating will be represented by SSU When you're in the mood for 'lets go driving' this rating is represented by LGD When you're in the mood to 'make sweet loving' this rating shall be represented by MSL. Add in drinks consumed aswell i think, eg DC 6 equals six beers consumed at time of rating) For example Murderdrdolls - Beyond The Valley 82% (10K, 5F, SSU 97%, LGD 89%, MSL 13%, DC 6) This way you can truly judge the mood of an album
  8. i believe a lot of these songs are re-recorded versions of a demo they did back in 1994, which is likely to explain the raw sound.
  9. Cool, love that stuff! There's some awesome limited edition stuff in there aswell. 5 cds sets, bonus dvds, fold out velvet box sets,..... and the guy was basically giving them away. Best bit.... i actually paid $50 for 50 cds, and on the way home from picking them up I sold 7 of them (ones i didn't want) for $50 to someone else, meaning I rocked up home with about 43 cds for free. The jrock was mine, and then a lot of other common/commercial stuff for the wife.
  10. It certainly appears that way. So you guys are saying those CDs I said were shit are actually good? Fair enough. Enjoy your awful CDs while I listen to quality. And Andre... whoops, I mean Lindsay, ( ) what makes you think I don't like glam rock anymore because I also like 5SOS? Sure I like 5SOS and have not denied it, but I still like good glam rock as much as I ever did. Show me a good band and I'm their biggest fan.
  11. It is custom that when a new member joins that you give everyone who comments on your introduction thread a choice of 1 cd from your cd collection.
  12. If I did a top list of all the physical CDs I got in 2014 I might be able to put together a top 3.
  13. I found 30+ jrock CDs for $1 each Most I don't know, but some other stuff like xjapan, dir en grey, earth shaker, and more.
  14. Looks like it is available on itunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/the-throbs/id204338333
  15. Read on the sleazeroxx forum that the unreleased 2nd album from The Throbs is available on itunes. (I'd have no idea as I never been on there). Can anyone confirm this, and also if anyone knows if it will get a cd release?
  16. Don't ask Geoff for recommendations anymore. He'd rather be at a 5 Seconds of Summer gig these days than anything glam rock related.
  17. got the cd yesterday, actually impressed me more than the samples I'd heard online. and it's a silver press for anyone interested,
  18. Looks like poor bloke has been arrested... http://www.corrieredelgiorno.com/2014/02/18/griffe-false-prezzi-bassi-24-arresti/ translation: Griffe false low prices, 24 arrests Annalisa Latartara , sweaters, pants, t shirts, bags and shoes, all of the best known brands, but falsified, were sold via the Internet, in some outlets and also clandestinely in some condos. At the center of the international trafficking of counterfeit goods is Taranto with its commercial port, entry gateway of goods imported from China by an organization dedicated to the production and marketing. The partnership was dismantled yesterday dawn by soldiers of the core of the tax police in Taranto of the Financial Police with the execution of 24 arrest warrants, of which 11 are in prison and 13 under house arrest, signed by the investigating judge of the Court of Lecce at the request of the prosecutor of the District Anti-Mafia Alessio Coccioli. The investigation started in 2009 by seizing the port of Mar Grande of a container of goods "fake" from China. The financiers have reconstructed the chain of false and identified the alleged members of the association: producers, intermediaries and sellers via the Internet or holders outlet. With the transfer of much of the textile production in the East, China has become one of the main countries where they produce counterfeit goods, so much to replace the Napoletano, historic homeland of the industry's false. Clothing, shoes and handbags brands such as Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Moncler, Hogan and others, were imported in Italy but were also produced in two laboratories in Campania, one in Casoria and the other in Maddaloni. The models, of course, were those of fashion of the period. The sale was made on the web, through prepaid cards but in Naples real boutique were set up in some condos. The sale took place in small part also in the province ionic, in Martina Franca in an outlet that closed its doors after the control of yellow flame. Among those arrested was a 43-year old Martina, Patrizio Di Giuseppe. The only province ionic. The sale price was well below that of the original garments, equal to a quarter or even a fifth. So who bought it was aware that it was fake goods. During the investigation, as well as documentation and postal banking relationships and movements of money, were seized a total of two factories, one in Casoria and the other in Maddaloni, also a considerable amount of counterfeit goods, 2,100 items of clothing, 9,000 pairs of shoes, 687 uppers, 500 cloth bags, 25,000 labels and 6,000 buttons. In about two years, the profit achieved exceeded the one million euro. In respect of the suspects were alleged offenses of conspiracy, forgery, introduction into the State and marketing products with false signs and receiving stolen goods. According to the reconstruction of the investigators, the illegal activity was run by several associations in contact with each other. The members had very specific roles, suppliers and distributors were always the same, all bells and Chinese. The latter, in some cases, difficult to identify. Map of disposal of the "Tarot" was reconstructed by examining the documentation gathered and wiretaps and telematics, as the various components of the network, from one end of the planet, and from region to region of Italy , communicated via the Internet. Thirty-seven subjects intercepted (41 utilities). The arrest warrants were served to Francesco De Maria, aka "Masaniello" (hence the name of the blitz) Patrizio Di Giuseppe, Antonietta La Ventura, Alfredo Spagnoli, Salvatore Tonti aka "Totore", Antonio Infante, Giuseppe Di Mauro, Luigi Leccia aka "U russ", Anna Maria Mercadante, Biagio Reucci, Massimo Mosciaro, Gennaro Parrot, Marco Miniaci, Nicholas Green and Shuyan Yang. Six recipients of restrictive measures have not yet been traced. A total of 56 suspects are Puglia, Campania, Tuscany, Veneto, Lazio, Calabria and Sicily. Thirty-two were on the loose.
