  1. where the hell did you score that? locally or online? on vinyl format Ana Black debut.
  2. Didn't notice that until you pointed it out. Yeah....ummm ... yeah
  3. Oh yes, good one. A real stinker for me! Glad you dig it tho. Don't mind it, don't hate it, but average is what it is, good call It always mystifies me why glam / sleaze fans don't like it more - and it's always just been seen as an average album... whereas it's probably squeeze into my top 20 of all time I think. But, perfect example of what this thread is about.
  4. Thank you sir Geoff. I actually hired a lens with a decent zoom to take to the festival. Worth about $3k, but a few hundred bucks to hire for a few days. Problem is... now I want one!
  5. Star-Star - The Love Drag Years A dollar bin cd, that you probably can't give away if on your trade list. But for me this was almost the birth of my love for sleaze rock. It's almost sleaze before there even was sleaze. Trash, brash, glam, heavy.... all for about a buck!
  6. i did ask about sending unregistered to see what the cost came down too. no response yet/ btw, here's a few shots I took of the guys at swedenrock. (and the guitars were awesome live aswell) https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.801963686580624.1073741846.348565138587150&type=3
  7. You'll find a hell of a lot more wide spread music variety on here compared to sleazeroxx. People here a far more prepared to look abroad, look at new stuff, and open to suggestions. Whilst I have loved the sleazeroxx board for years, I have found it a bit too much "the original stuff from the 80s is so much better than this new poser shit".
  8. Sleazeroxx not doing it for you any more? But there's just so many song games!!!!
  9. I'm with you, just don't care for them. They sound weak live. Just empty with no balls. I do still like those albums though. The birth of a great band. Big call! Weak live...? They played straight after Motley at Sweden Rock and absolutely blew them away. Absolutely brilliant live! A few days after the festival I saw them do an acoustic set at Hard Rock Cafe Stockholm, and again brilliant, including a cover version of "18 and Life"
  10. watched it for about 2 minutes before i realised it was a 5 second loop. was waiting for some different tricks.
  11. Aussie band Dangerous! Returned to oz after playing some big UK festival (maybe download) Went on stage about 2 hours late Played for just over 30 mins We're utter shite One band member jumped into crowd and had security throw some guy out of the venue when his drink spilt on him (as the fukwit jumped into he crowd) Poor form.
  12. Adult toys... Aussie indie hard rock EP. Never knew they even released a cd so was a bonus to find it in the $1 rack.
  13. Got the EP... Had a hint of promise but didn't really grab me from memory. Might have to pull it out for another spin. I did see the EP going for big $$$ on eBay about a year ago, but you could still buy it from mail order form Finland for $10.
  14. I got a reply but with shipping it was gonna cost me $20 plus shipping, almost AUS $40!!!!!
  15. Normally i find everyone loves the same 2-3 songs from each album
  16. Just reading thru the thread it's funny how everyone seems to have different favourites on this album....
  17. By what I saw of the darkness at swedenrock I can only imaging the new disc will be a bit of a turd burger. Or maybe it was just the ordinary "im in a liam gallagher arsehole type of mood tonight" act he was putting on.
  18. What's this mate? I picked up the cd by these guys also. No artwork with mine though... just a cd. Did yours come with artwork? It is a Nashville, Tennessee band called The Tip. New act very Kix like. This is there first release silver pressed in a digipac, so yes Lindsey it has art. 11 tracks. I see the earlier version photo'd below has 4 songs just. https://www.facebook.com/thetiprock http://thetipband.com/home https://youtu.be/0mc2txgwwls I recon you got the earlier version prior to pressing, cool! This is the version I received: http://static1.squarespace.com/static/54e3ac52e4b088f368d12b4b/555fc521e4b01af401daf30b/5579db17e4b04e05e156d8d5/1434049304593/?format=750w Yeah, I got the EP - not the digipak full length. I know when I ordered they said something about it being down to the last few copies... which was why I jumped in. All signed too Great sounding band - I'll have to order the full length now.
  19. What's this mate? I picked up the cd by these guys also. No artwork with mine though... just a cd. Did yours come with artwork?
  20. Yeah... people we flabbergasted, laughing... and leaving. They were that horrible. Considering other bands on the same stage, like def leppard were flawless. Mic problems or not... not too sure. Many were just saying he missed his cue and it was a car crash from then on. I think this was the worst I have ever heard them. Didn't help having prerecorded backings which couldn't be re-cued.
  21. Saw these guys open up at about 11am one morning at swedenrock this year. Really impressed me live, so trying to dig up their cd. https://www.facebook.com/Yardstones?ref=ts&fref=ts
  22. Motley fans need to check out this abomination! It goes down hill from the moment vince squeals "are you feeling good!"
  23. Wow .... if you only listen to music with english lyrics then some of you must be missing out on the Icelandic melodic rock sensations "ísskápur ostur"! Their hit "rostungurinn og pennaveski" it almost the best song ever. And...damn, if "kúla kúla ananas" doesnt have the best riffs ever then I don't know what song does.
