  1. i'd be interested in that Ana Black! What's it actually worth these days?
  2. if it's that bad.... thanks for saving me the time and money for importing it from o/s and paying outrageous shipping. cheers!
  3. I'm surprised there's so few people into vinyl on here considering so many 80s hard rock albums never made it to cd and are only found on vinyl. I've always purchased a bit of vinyl (no to the extent of my cd collecting), mainly 2nd hand at fairs and 2nd hand stores, but generally only if in great condition and reasonably priced. I generally buy for 3 separate reasons: 1 - to make my collection of a particular artist complete (eg crashdiet, hardcore superstar, bon jovi) and these usually stay sealed / mint if purchased new. 2 - just some of my favourite 80s /90s albums for nostalgia sake just to throw on the turn table occasionally. generally more common stuff like britny fox, shotgun messiah, skid row, warrant, etc... 3 - other items that are just interesting. bands i never heard but looks cool, or maybe a signed album, pic disc, some thinging with a historical significance,...or something like that. I would have to say that in terms of physical items they are much more interesting than cds, but yes Geoff..... the inconvenience of them is a MAJOR drawback for sure.
  4. With so many albums coming out on vinyl these days, just wondering if many others on this site have been buying? Prior to the past few years there was only a few bands bothering with vinyl so it was lot easier to keep up to speed, and get all album you wanted. Now it seems far more difficult (ok ....impossible) to buy everything you want. I've been keeping up with every hardcore superstar, sister, crashdiet release on vinyl Trying to fill giant holes in backyard babies collection. The you have everyone like buckcherry, h.e.a.t, hollywood burnouts, toxicrose all releasing some random vinyl, then reissues of stuff like pretty boy floyd, blackboard jungle,.... It definitely make collecting a more expensive excercise. (f**k you shit aussie dollar!)
  5. How does one get these warning points? I see i have 500.... Maybe this has been discussed before, not sure. Edit: I see it was for my comment on Treat above
  6. Very surprising to see this one here! Great band that i've seen many times, and a great cd, but not something i'd expected to have turned up in someones Top 10 at this stage.
  7. i think we're stopping at 2 aswell. Cant afford to attend any more of these wild parties. I never knew number of children was inversely proportion to cd purchases. Also, i never knew a second childs room meant i would not even have a stereo set up in the house at all. So even if i got more cds i can't listen anyway. Yhe man cave shed is well in progress though.
  8. Tigertailz - the lost reels Oh my fucking God... What the hell did I just listen too...?!!!?! No wonder the band wanted these reels lost. More like some electronic new wave. Only saviour was the bonus tracks at the end, including the song with Jules.
  9. What store is that? I'm looking to find Santa Cruz cheap.
  10. hot on the heels of crazy lixx losing their guitarists, looks like confess have lost their also. wonder if there is any link between the departures?
  11. So i done it again... And by reading the posts above there musta been another one of those HH Downunder parties. Born about 1 week ago, this is my new little "rockette".... Madeline
  12. Gotta disagree with these. 4. 90% are pissed at the direction change over the years. Doesnt me an they dont listen anymore but most wouldm prefer the old style to return. Except for the soccer mums, they seem to love the country , generic , mid tempo shit they release these days. 5. Lots of Jovi fans have voiced their disapproval with Richie not being there. I woudl say it's split the fan base down the middle. As they are the main band I have collected over the years, I know a hell of a lot of jovi fans around the place and it's definitely impacted. I'd compare the Jon and Richie associate with the Gene & Paul association. I cant image KISS fans not being worried if one of these 2 left. 6. That's how you get your head bitten off in jovi circles.
  13. Although I must say I've wanted to hear the Keith Urban duet since I heard about it many years back. But yes, a shit song
  14. ....but it's not bon jovi. Cover bands play some good stuff too.
  15. Yeah but those were mostly left overs from GOOD albums. The last two BJ albums were shit and now we get to enjoy the worst of those? Not interested... But who's taste do you trust? You never know; their idea of the shit songs might actually be the better songs according to their older fans? I'm definitely NOT saying this to be fact, but you never know. In fact, there's only one way to find out for sure, and we all know what that is. Was almost thinking the same thing... After all, a lot of the bonus tracks on their albums have been some of the better tracks if you looks from an 'old school' point of view, so there could very likely be some gems hiding in the unreleased stuff.
  16. Wow, really? What era are we talking about... when these songs were originally recorded? I assume they're all recent recordings, obviously? Cool news about the new album next year too. All leftovers from the last two albums minus the two new songs. So they weren't good enough for the last 2 albums (which were very ordinary, especially that last piece of garbage) but they're good enough to serve up to fans now?!?!?!
  17. saw these going for $5 a pop (new sealed) at a record store at swedenrock. Had too much other stuff I wanted to buy for myself, otherwise i mighta grabbed some for trade fodder.
  18. Apparently the new album coning out is all previously recorded material and HAVE HAD SAMBORA'S GUITAR PARTS REMOVED and replaced. What a load of fkn shit that is! That album is due very soon, with a completely new album in the works for next year.
  19. One that should get a lot of thumbs up here is hardcore superstar.... From say their first 3 albums to the next 3-4 albums.
  20. why don';t I ever find cool stuff like ana black. if you're not planning on keeping it....
