  1. Another really great cover!! I truly have to get my stuff together and start searching out past and present releases...ooohh do I smell a really cool band signed care package on its way to Washington State?
  2. GREAT CD!!! Very talented musician and the songwriting is clever... "I love you period. Do you love me question mark? Agreed.... I've owned it on cassette for ages and finally got around to picking up the CD.....as good or better than anything the Georgia Satellites put out.... It is, even though it is hard to touch that S/T relese from the Satelites, do you have Buffalo Nickel and the Yahoos releases? Both are equally cool... Haven't heard of either band.... Buffalo Nickel is actually the second solo release from DB and go hear for the Yahoos: http://www.amazon.com/Fear-Not-Obvious-Yayhoos/dp/B00005N6OK/ref=sr_1_2?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1284933831&sr=1-2

  5. Uhh I was just combing my hair... Would it be greedy to ask for more?

  7. Very cool Sam! The site store is a great step forward and I believe a very smart move. Good luck and now to place my order...
  8. One colossal flaw in this theory is that these remakes are made for the mindless drones who populate the good ole U$ of A... and make up over 80% of its population. And on topic and with reference to Susperia, pretty damn creepy and think of it in respect to when it came. Most of us saw it as kids which left an impression... Argento is an interesting dude and I think the fanboys are rabid for anything he does. My 2 cents.
  9. Dudley Moore is turning in his grave as we speak. This is an atrocity to man kind. This movie ranks way up in the top 20 for so many quotable one liners from Moore... "Were's my hat? Oh, I hate it when that happens." Off and on topic, I saw a commercial for an American remake of the quite nicely Scandi film "Let The Right One In" re-titled "Right One In." PLEASE, could someone put something in the water to elicit free/creative thought again. THANK YOU!
  10. SWEEEEEEEET!!!! Nelson in my book can do no wrong and this is right on track with their first effort. Can't wait to hear it all. ANd like Widda, I saw Nelson on that tour, House Of Lords opened and both bands were very very good live!
  11. I dunno. How much $$ could there honestly be for a band with only one "original" member (and technically Banali's not even the original drummer - so I guess you could say one member of the "classic" lineup)? Does the county fair circuit really pay that well? Shoot, it would probably do better business if they called it "METAL HEALTH: A TRIBUTE TO QUIET RIOT FEATURING FRANKIE BANALI" County fairs must pay well: this month Queensryche and Tesla will play at my locale fair and tix start at $45.00 and go up from there... As for QR: Make a record don't make a record... doesn't really matter in the greater skeem of things. Will it/could it be good? Sure, but chances are it won't be nominated for a grammy, won't sell more than a few hundred copies and will be the topic of discussion for a week or two until the handful of people who "care" move on to the next flaver of the week. As Keith mentioned the Banali QR Tribute Band would work best, especially if he could pull together ALL the former members for a "We Were Quiet Riot" kinda thing.
  12. Oh yes agreed. Sir Ian is someone I truly hope to meet... who knows maybe someday.
  13. I've just voted for that too. Not being a "wise guy", just being honest. I'm not too familiar with their stuff, which I aim to rectify as soon as possible and there are other bands I'd rather see. I used to own 'Hot Wire' and other than the title track wasn't hugely fond of it. What are the best albums? I may invest in a couple of CDs, so my vote might end up being changed... The S/T and Cool Kids are my fave's, with Midnight Dynamite being a close second/third (Blow My Fuse, is great too, but I can't listen to "Don't Close Your Eyes" anymore; good song just played to death). You can't go wrong with any of those first 4 discs, however MD and BMF are more "commercial"/straight ahead rock n roll, where as the S/T and Cool Kix, even though they do rock, have a bit of a new wave (Cars-ish) vibe to some of the cuts. On topic: Unfortunately I have not been blessed with a KIX show.
  14. That one went over like a fart in church around here... Totally "tried"to monopolise on the band Mother Love Bone.
  15. Agreed, bad name, but if memory serves this is a caption from a Far Side comic...
  16. Now that is SWEET! Being a soundtrack collector myself, I certainly appreciate a great find like that. Even though my tastes lean towards the score aspect of movie soundtracks, I would not pass up that one.

  18. That movie is great. Lots of gore, naked chicks... perfect! The sequel is out, 2001 Maniacs Feild Of Screams. http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi1336673817/
  19. First off, I never said I wouldn't and secondly through 1,000,000 hell yes that is suhweet...
  20. Speaking from the perspective of not knowing where any of the "members" are... Icon, should do the Maiden thing and take everyone on the tour/show and have both singers singing. And for Saigon Kick, can't be done without Matt Kramer and if they did all get together they should only play stuff from the self titled and The Lizard releases anyway, both of those cd's are required listening imho. Just my 2 cents. BTW: I saw SK on The Lizard tour in a hole in the wall in Seattle, with Gruntruck opening, and they were DAMN good!!
