  3. Dark Places by Gillian Flynn this is a must read for anyone who enjoys a great story and great writing. This is her second book, the first beeing Sharp Objects. Also read and rather enjoyed Johannes Cabal the Necromancer by Jonathan L. Howard. In the process of reading these 4: My Booky Wook by Russell Brand Hell Bent For Leather Confessions of A Heavy Metal Addict by Seb Hunter I, Doll Life And Death With The New York Dolls by Arthur "Killer" Kane Grunge Is Dead The Oral History Of Seattle Rock Music by Greg Prato
  4. I've been into Keith since I saw his band The Ranch play a few shows in the late 90's. I know the "country" stigma but Keith is an amazing singer songwriter and his guitar prowess is very impressive. The Ranch played much heavier than their cd, which is a great disc btw and they did a bunch of ole rock n roll covers (AC/DC, Bryan Adams, Van Halen...) Here is "Walk In The Country" from The Ranch self titled release. It had some moderate success and radio play. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEIsGtQ0ep0 THis clip shows off Keith's guitar stylings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghjSHEK-SKI The Devil Went Down To Georgia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioD7gp41GYU Homespun Love is one of my fave's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkUxcpCD5zM This one's a good one too! 8. As always the tune sounds amazing! Nicely done. You know where to find me for any swag. Looking forward to hearing the cover tune. The webisode was well done as well, quite the rough road for the band, I hope this year is a better one.
  9. Nicely done and of course any JLH fanatic is a poet and a saint!

  11. That's cool you mention the memory thing and how that song triggers it. JK is truly a gifted songwriter and performer and his songs do stir a lot of memories up for me as well, he wrote a book some years ago that I have somewhere, good read... Thanks for the video's and the refresher.
  12. LOVE Joshua Kadison!! The entire first album was amazing! The first time I heard Jesse my jaw dropped, truly epic song. The second album is also chock full of great songs...
  13. Interesting how most dislike The Incredibles...one of my fave's! 1. Monsters Inc. & Finding Nemo & The Incredibles 2. Toy Story 1-3 (All are excellent) 3. A Bugs Life 4. Cars 5. Up 6. Ratatouille And no offense, but Wall-E was just plain bad...
  14. Agreed, this was a good movie, certainly kept you watching throughout and fortunately no cheap scares like that Paranormal Activities flick everyone raved about. On topic: Toy Story 3 Good franchise and an interesting and entertaining return.
  15. Did not know this made the re-issue circuit, would love to hear those "demo's", just to compare them to the one's I sent Michael...
  16. That was a really good cover, a really interesting and rocked up spin on the original... My few cents on the debate of the band, no offense Nick, et al, but if these guys made a record of originals, sans all the naighty bits, we all know that it would fall flat in the bat of an eye. No-one outside a select few would be interested in it. The parady side is what is atrracting the audience, especially since the 80's were/are quite clown like and over exaggerated and that is the appeal for us that lived through the 80's and all the young sprites that are glomming on to it to make fun of mom and pop. Sure the novelty wears thin after a minute or ten, but kudo's to the band for finally getting some recognition and more power to them for making a bit of cash while they are hot.
  17. Just a quick shout out to all the dad's on board, wishing many good hours with or without the family (depending how you celebrate)and a good day had by all. HAPPY FATHERS DAY guys!! And remember, in the immortal words of the Lemon's: I'm not your pop, I'm just a cop who works all day. I'm not your pop, but I got something I have to say. I met your Mom just once, And I swear we only had lunch. I'm not your pop, But I'm OK...
  18. That Spanish weather girl is so true!! Univision is an amazing place for sexy Latina's... Thanks again Master Jay.
  19. Those cuts are AMAZING, sorry Geoff! Anyone have these discs that I can have? Seems they were re-issued in the mid 90's in Holland and are not readily available...
  20. Not in particular, but it sounded like a good/bad comment...
  21. Man I saw the M3 and thought maybe Marvelous 3 reunited... Sounds like it will be a killer show, but as stated, way to far away for me. Have fun Dave and take notes...

  24. Sounds like a bad Goo Goo Dolls song...
