  1. Wow, I am one of only a select few that love Hot In The Shade
  2. I bought the Evergrey - One Night 2DVD set from Dixon's in Melbourne the other day and a few days went to play it and saw the 1st DVD was missing. As I ripped off the sticker number they couldn't track it.... sigh....
  3. I used to buy for these guys 10 years ago. They were always great. But there is some bad blood brewing via the ebayer Japanrarehunter (see other thread). They sometimes sell boots etc. so be careful. If it doesn't sound like a legit release it likely isn't.
  4. LOL, love the title.... so am guessing this is some wacka wacka 70s porn music
  5. hey glam junkie... I am from Oz as you know and I have used this site for a long time.... even cdwow.co.uk etc. You can get good DVD bargains from different regions if you are a DVD collector. One thing I have noticed is that they will ship from all over the place eg. Hong Kong, Europe etc. So I think they are all linked to the cdwow HK site. CDs are delivered individually in their own bubble wrap envelope. I did have 1 CD come cracked and they dealt with it really well i.e. sent me a reply paid form to print and send the CD back (so I didn't have to pay for it) and sent me another CD. I just had to send them an email and a pic of the damaged CD. So, highly recommended but sometimes can wait a while to get stuff shipped if not in stock. Hmmm, I did have 1 negative issue. A CD never arrived but becuase I never received an email saying it was shipped just thought that it was waiting to be stocked. When I checked the order online sometime later it said it had been shipped. Unfortunately they didn't send me another because I took too long to query it (1 or 2 months after shipping). Otherwise they would have..... so keep an eye on that one. Hope this helps, but you have already ordered. LOL
  6. hey vince, welcome from melbourne but i am guessing we already know each other via ebay
  7. Need opinions on this one as i loved the debut as well. funnily ther was 1 bonus on the debut cd and it was the worst track by a long way.... but ur point is a good one, surely there must be more tracks lying around.
  8. We should petition them to get John Sykes to work with DavidC again.
  9. They'll be out of grog in a couple of days!!!
  10. The'll be out of grog in a couple of days!!!
  11. DC was awesome in this band but I reckon John West took it to another level. Can't wait to hear how this new one turns out! At least Andre Anderson is keeping things fresh
  12. Jorn kicks ass. The Spirit Never Dies is still one of my fave tracks! What was MK2 like? I never picked it up. Did anyone else besides me pick up the Tears of Anger CD? Not bad initially but has no longevity.
  13. This is going to kickass. Still the whole Avantasia concept stinks of cashing in. Wasn't the first 2 supposed to be a one off?

    Wigwam

Wow this is getting such mxed reviews that I've held off buying it even though I dig the first 2. Speaking of which does anyone know where I can get the Jap version of the 1st album?
  15. Can anyone tell me what this sounds like? I have been getting very mixed reviews on this one.
  16. Even though it wasn't released in the 80s, Van Halen - S/T should be #1 coz without Eddie kicking guitar up the ass and DLR putting the over the top showmanship we wouldn't have had any of those bands everyone has voted for or we wouldn't have had any labels knowing they could make money with that type of music. Then again I could be full of BS! 1. Gunner - Apetite 2. Whitesnake - 1987 3. White Lion - Pride
  17. I used to think they peaked with DC as well and it took me years to get the John West CDs. Have to say that after many years with them now John West was the best singer they had and was there for the best albums..... strange really coz when FEAR was released I hated it but it now has my 2 fav RH tracks and THE MISSION is absolute killer.
  18. Have been disappointed with every release since the debut but I keep buying them coz I love his voice. Hope this one lives up to the hype they are trying to generate!
  19. Some great CDs here but I can't believe there isn't more talk about Kings of the Sun - all 3 CDs are great. I love that Candy Harlots CD!!! What about the skyhooks? Take all their best tracks and you get one smokin CD! Same with the Angels, songs like No Secrets, Shadowboxer awesome stuff. Also, the first 2 Screaming Jets CDs rock. For those not into Progresive Metal but open minded take a chance on Vanishing Point's 3rd CD Embrace the Silence, great album.... perhaps a bit long and dies off towards the end but the first 40mins kick ass and really accessible.

    Gotthard

I love melodicrock.com, really do but when it comes to reviews .... hmmmm. Well I'll just say that on avg the reviews are way too high across the board. Does anyone else feel this way? Gotthard have never released a bad CD, I doubt this will be the case here - maybe the manager organised an exclusive or two?

    TNA Wrestling

Have to say over the past few years I have loved and hated both the WWE and TNA. They both lack true Superstars and wrestling in general lost a lot when Lesnar, Stone Cold, The Rock and most importantly Goldberg retired. It's only worth watching for AJ these days but I gave up when they didn't give him anything to do i.e. was Angle's little boy. I have jumped ship over to the UFC and fkn love it. I do plan on checking out the next PPV for both to see if anything's changed but both were getting too stale for me.
  22. I love Pete's voice and was wondering if anyone could recommend some CDs. I have all of the Midnight Sun CDs and love them. Some of his solo stuff eg. Back in Business wasn't great. I hear his stuff with Alien is awesome?
  23. I love the debut, much better than Nothin (which is still a very good CD). The debut is 9/10 for me, very consistent and nice and heavy, probably too heavy for radio. Nothin has some great tunes as mentioned above and a killer ballad at the end but a little too much filler, so maybe 6.5/10. Fuck it, here's how I would rate all of John Sykes albums and I too would love for him to get recording again: 9.5 Whitesnake - 1987 9.0 Blue Murder - S/T 6.5 Blue Murder - Nothin' But Trouble 7.5 Sykes - Out Of My Tree 7.5 Sykes - Loveland 6.5 Sykes - 20th Century 5.0 Sykes - Nuclear Cowboy
