  1. Very good album, would have been excellent if it was shorter i.e. the last few tracks drag it out!
  2. R.I.P Phil, thanks for the music. Why do we have to get old so quickly
  3. Hey guys, I've heard a lot of great things about this CD and lots of comparisons to WASPs The Headless Children. Am guessing this is more in theme than anything else. But I have no idea and some of the reviews I've read of the bands other CDs have really made me question buying this CD. In short this could be the type of CD I could love or hate. Anyone have an opinion of it and perhaps some comparisons in terms of style, vocals etc. Thanks a heap!
  4. Great post.... she is still smokin' but am guessing once they're unclasped she could mop the floor with them. Still, very, very impressive given the years that have passed since she was the page 3 girl.
  5. ... in the end there can be only one!

  6. LOL... the Nappy boxes make great CD protectors for mailing For the post above don't be skeptical about grabbing some Angra with Edu on vocals. Start with the first, ReBirth, gie yourself to it's glory
  7. Unfortunately the buyer has all the power when it comes to ebay, especially with all of the power they have through paypal now eg. freezing your paypal until a dispute is settled. All you can really do is give him the full refund (not sure why you can't do this through paypal - is the transaction too old?). Then again if the transaction is complete and you've already received your feedback as far as ebay/paypal is concerned the transaction is complete. Hmmm, not sure if you can open a dispute on a auction that's already had a dispute settled. Not very helpful, sorry. Losing out on fees whilst probably small sounds like a real hit when dealing with an asshole. To avoid the hassle might just be better getting this over with and moving on.
  8. Hey guys, I am a pretty big Angra fan but due tot he birth of my first little one I've been dropping the ball picking up new releases blindly on release day. Anyway, witht he ever tightening budget can anyone let me know what the new one is like and how it compares to the other Edu fronted Angra albums? Thanks and sorry if there is already a thread on this.
  9. Being a huge Sava fan of both Jon and Zak's albums I have to say that I've lost interest in both of them now except for their respective debut albums (Watching IN Silence & Tag Mahal)
  10. This sounds right up my alley, then again throw Spread Eagle into any mix and my ears perk up! Samples anyone?
  11. What about: Gotthard Early TEN The Sygnet Tough category......
  12. This is fucked up.... no other way to put it... RIP!!!!!!!!!!
  13. After the recommendations here I went down to Realm of Kaos in Nth Melbourne, Victoria. I have to say I was stunned at the releases. All of the new metal, power metal releases as well as all of the hard rock releases of late (Treat, Reckloess Love, Crash Diet and so on). Best of all were the rarities at cheaper than JB prices. I grabbed Battle Bratt - S/T that I've been looking for ages but couldn't grab it. Worth giving them a call if you want to pick up any new releases or old classics to fill gaps in your collection like Icon, Lethal, Barren Cross, King Kobra and much much more.... and a heap of t-shirts as well. I can't comment on the Black Metal stuff, there was a section as well as traditional metal. Their number is (03) 9329 7447 and they offer free shopping nationally. Worth giving them a call if you need something!
  14. Good man! All mine are Jap expect the 1995 s/t and The Most Beautiful Pain......still have to to get the recent double best of. That double best of is pretty expensive. I bought it from his site. It's also worth checking out his Jap only EPs, they usually have a gem or two on them and you can generally get them for $10US on ebay + shipping. Cheers.
  15. It's actually a very awesome disc. I'd definately call it glam, though some of the songs are much heavier than most of your typical 80's glam bands. Certainly doesn't qualify as thrash, not even close. that kage album reminds me alot of leatherwolf & fifth angel, their 2nd album is pretty cool too This sounds like it's right up my alley. What's the singer like? Are the songs actually any good coz I know sometimes we fans can get into a rut of going after a particular sound
  16. Anyone have: - Apetite for Destruction with the original cover? - The first Cry Wolf before Crunch (similar track listing)? - Any Tsunami CDs? - Battle Bratt CDs? - Crystal Pistol ST? - Eyes Windows of the Soul? - Great White Stick It!, S/T or Shot In The Dark? - Red Dawn Never Say Surrender? - Treat S/T (1992)? - Trouble S/T (1990)? - WASP Animal F*&k Like a Beast? If so I would love to trade with you, please PM me Some semi-rare stuff I own: Mudslick - Crawlin In The Mud (Jap press) Phantom's Opera - S/T (Jap press) Razormaid - First Cutt Wig Wam - Hard to be a Rock 'n' Roller in Tokyo (Jap press) - bonus tracks kick ass! All the Robby Valentine in Jap pressings (can get them cheap on ebay now). All X Japan original Jap pressings All Savatage original Jap pressings
  17. Awesome, thanks Glam. Sorry metalhead. I've been drooling about those Jap reissues for ages and I got excited about your post at first glance. The last few years I've taken to collecting Jap versions of my favourite CDs and favourite bands but their are so many versions these days that it's hard to keep up.
  18. Hey Glam, I am still trying to collect some JPN versions of my favourite CDs. Have you got any pointers? Jap retailers? Used retailers? Trading forum you can share to help me out? Cheers.
  19. Agreed, bonus live tracks at the end are shite. They just detract from how the CD was itended/created. That said I love reissues that are 2CDs with the 1st CD being the original CD and the 2nd being the extra stuff, b-sides, from the vault, live, whatever. Bon Jovi already re-released these in Japan 12 fkn years ago.... why can't we get those versions????? These are all going for around US$100 on Ebay Bon Jovi [PHCR-90011/2] CD ONE 1. Runaway 2. I LOVED Take It to the Limit but HATED Extreme Behaviour. I can only think that the band will go back to more of the EB songwriting as Take It To The Limit didn't seemt o be as successful as the debut? Thoughts?
  21. MAC was the reason Threshold started to suck IMO. Can't say I'll be keeping an eye out for this one even though I do like Freedom Call.
  22. Didn't know where else to post this but given this could be good exposure for some online retailers. Being an Aussie I look for the following: - Stock, in-stock and have what I want. - Price, whilst the exchange rate is OK with the $US we get killed on the EURO, Yen and GBP. - Shipping costs, can you say rape!!!! - Ease of use eg. ordering, payment (Visa, paypal etc.) and communication. I currently use the following: - CDWOW - cheap prices and free shipping. - Wishing Well - Just placed an order coz of the 40% off discount. Shipping is very reasonable, especially without cases. - AOR Heaven - Always stocks great stuff. Shipping can be expensive (been a while). - Sentinel Steel - Stuff not always in stock, payment can be an issue if you don't have paypal but CD prices and shipping are great. - CDBaby - Used to buy from here because of cheap CD prices and FREE shipping. Was a great way to get the Big Cock CDs cheap. They stopped doing the free shipping and this makes them too expensive now. Would love to hear where the rest of you Aussies buy from and why and who to avoid.
