Anyone else reading this? I think it's the best thing around and it actually got me into comics. What's even better is that they are making a TV show and season 1 is being done (written and directed) by Frank Darabont! Awesome.

Savatage - Still the Orchestra Plays 2CD + DVD
DaHun72 replied to heavyharmonies's topic in Heavy Metal
Yep, when it comes to DVDs being an Aussie is a great thing. Remember that our market, including the UK which is also PAL is way smaller than the USA, JAPAN etc that have NTSC. As a result nearly everything released in Aus was an NTSC unit re-jigged for PAL. We can find DVD players, TVs etc. that are NTSC compatible and also region free.... this simply isn't the case in the US so make sure you are checking the version of this DVD before buying (and where you buy it from). -

Savatage - Still the Orchestra Plays 2CD + DVD

Used to be my favourite band but this is a lame cash in with only the 3 acoustic tracks making me interested. How are they by the way? How do they compare to those extra acoustic tracks form the Edel re-releases from the late 90s? I got the VHS version of the gig and paid through the ass for it back int he day LOL Their CDs are worth nothing on Ebay. What's become of this band??? Are they even relevant? The only thing I've liked form them recently is the last TSO album (too many fillers) and the excellent debut Circle II Circle album. I can't stand the JOP albums and for the record I'm a fan of both the old metal Sava and the dramatic Sava of later years. I'm still waiting for The Romanaov's from TSO. What ever happened to that? -
Kissin' Dynamite releases another winner!

So why is this one worse than the debut? The lack of quality songs? A slight change is style? Crappyu performances? I love the first one and was going to buy this blind. -
This is like comparing an apple off the tree and apple pie. What's the point? Maybe if Reb appeared on a Metallica tribute album or Kirk on a Winger tribute we'd have something to talk about

It all went downhill after Behind.... but then again I started to move away from Prog Metal not long after that

P)robably coz it was in the can and Tobias wants to get back onto a new Edguy CD.... who knows? Truth is he is prolific in terms of output and cosidering that he started so young with Edguy he might be going for an all time record for # of albums released in a lifetime.

Help with a House of Shakira song

It's a bonus track on the re-release of the album III. So a pretty obscure one and I haven't heard it myself. Love the band though, especially their first CD Lint. -
I'm with Fat Freddy on this one. Had all CDs of both bands at one time or another and the only ones I have left are Firehouse - S/T and Stryper - Against the Law. For me they are the strongest releases by both bands but shouldn't be compared.

It's all so sad. Apetite was a monster album that will never be repeated and probably should never have happened int he first place. Axl does have a gift but as everyone here has said it's over, time to move on. Did anyone read the Watch You Bleed book? Apparently Duff bought some shares in Starbucks and Microsoft in the very early days for 50k and sold them for 15m. Sweet!

Unfortunately I don't we Aussies are going to get out of the group stage. Coach is not as good, squad is not as good and form of players still there is not as good. Sigh....

Hey Ytesman! I have a recent tradelist up on the trade forum. Check it out. Will be updating soon. Also, saw ur avatar. I love Robby Valentine even though I think each album is not as good as the last. Still I was wondering if you had the 2nd Valensia v Valentine album. I can't find it anywhere. Cheers, John

Why is it that I love Hinder's Take It To The Limit but loathe Extreme Behaviour?

Agree with Clutch. I am a power metal fan and a hard rock fan so with the quality of the personnel here I bought this blind. I held onto ti for a year and then sold it. Underwhelming album, should have been much better.

Not a bad album but the single is the best track. Her influences are all over the place though so it will be interesting where she goes with it all coz her playing is definitely in the 80s rock god mould when she fires up.

Threshold - Paradox: The Singles Collection (8cd Box Set)
DaHun72 replied to Jez's topic in Prog Rock and Metal
I used to love this band but once Damian Wilson left they lost something earthy and real. Looks like a good pack for fans though.... good on em. -
I think the band is getting better. Getting more Hard Rock with every release (note that I haven't heard the latest) but is still flying high on the power/speed metal thing coz of The Dragon Lies Bleeding - great track!

I fkn loved the 1st Daughtry CD, Leave this Town sounds exactly like it.... but after months it never stuck. Songs are not memorable like the 1st CD. A real let down.
