  1. Sister Sin - True Sound Of The Underground (I was able to use a Best Buy reward certificate and order it off their website...less than $5, woohoo!)
  2. That I am aware I am only familar with the song "Joey", which is a great song. Maybe they have other songs I have heard but do not know it is them.
  3. I have only been a member for a year or two(?) but I have noticed the change as well. I still stop out here but not as often. I also dont look as forward to it like I used to. I can only speak for myself as to why: 1. Most of the topics at the top of the list are those "Name Game" topics. I used to try those but overall they consume and fill the list with useless stuff. I'm not ripping on those that like to post in those topics. There is just too many of them and they are always at the top of the New Content. Sifting passed them is tedious. 2. The search feature sort of sucks. I need to find something it is really hit and miss. 3. I am a sleaze/glam fan first, 80's hard rock / melodic rock second. A lot of the topics are not about sleaze. They do seem more AOR and light rock oriented. This is fine, there are a few folks on here that are sleaze fans first and I am able to get good info. 4. Some of the topics do not get a lot of replies, so I don't bother That said, I have met some great people on this board and made some new friends. Many of you have knowledge and facts about bands that I could never imagine being able to remember. I have learned a lot and don't plan on going anywhere. Now, fire up that Random Sleaze Glam Bands thread Lindsay!
  4. Did anyone see the cover art announced the other day? Is anyone planning to pre-order and get the signed copy? I'm thinking about it but have not done the currency conversion yet to see what it actually costs in USD.

  6. And again - I don't think there was a huge shift in style with Skid Row, not like Amoral, Paradise Lost, etc, but I fully agree that the second album kicked the debut's butt! Kicked the debut's butt? I have to respectfully disagree there James. I think both of those releases are absolutely great, but each one has a different style. The debut is a solid start to finish, catchy riffs and lyrics, commercial hair rock, the high school girls loved it just as much as the boys, make out in the back seat of a car to I Remember You, 18 And Life was everyone's theme song (so they thought). Slave To The Grind was just as great but in a dark, shove it this balls out rock down your effin' throat like Slave To Grind, Mudkicker to the eery goose bump giver In A Darkened Room. Less commercial, I doubt most girls in my high school could tell you song off this one. Yet, great. But I add absolutely nothing to the actual thread at hand.
  7. Ordered from the CDBaby website and on their way, a little glam and sleaze for me, oohhhh, for me! Skull Daze: Skull Daze Roxx: Outlaws, Fools, & Thieves Roxx: Diamonds & Rust Jetboy: Make Some More Noise BTW, those last 3 are in the $5 each if you buy 3 or more.

  9. I'll have to record Event...Lost and The X-Files are two of my all time favorites. Thanks for the heads up on the Saturday rerun.
  10. Star Rats - Slaughterh-h-house He is a freak...in disguise He is the master of all games He is the phantom of lies This beast's...got many names He's got a house on the hill Motherfucker's got a house on the hill! And it's right next door to Hell!
  11. GNR followed by Great White and Gemini 5 Ah, Appetite For Destruction, I can say so many things about it and how it shaped what would become my favorite type of music...sleazy attitude driven rock, sex/drugs/drinking/violence driven lyrics, the videos on MTV, the articles in the mags. Yet they could transition to relationship song with ease. I had to buy 2 cassettes of this one, I wore the writing write off the first one and eventually it broke. Everyone I knew was playing this one, no matter if they were country music, pop rock music first or not. I was 14/15 years old and in awe at the amount of fans packed in the stadium in their video (Parasite City vid I think...the black n white clip). So many things that come to mind. I drew a sketch of the GnR logo with the guns and the roses for an art project. Maybe if I grew up in different time it would be a different band, different release. Also, I really liked both Use Your Illusions I and II. Didn't care for Chinese Democracy at all.
  12. I voted Racing With The Moon but could have chosen Take This Heart just as well.
  13. Will You Love Me was my vote. I like most of this release but this song is the best for me...a little harder, louder than the rest. Now "Because They Can"...that's different story in my opinion.
  14. LnB sort of took over the Parasite City topic so I'm just re-posting this same info in the more appropriate Topic: Yeah, I can't say enough good things about the LnB release front to back, just awesome. There are some demo/promo tracks on the web that are worth tracking down, All This Time and Vain easily could have been on this release. I ordered mine directly from Sleaszy Rider Records and got great service. I ordered LnB and the first Sister Sin Cd, asked a question via email, got a fast response, and the shipment was quick. Prices in Euro's: Lipstixx 'N' Bulletz """Bang Your Head"" 9.99 Sister Sin """Dance Of The Wicked"" 3.99 Sister Sin """Switchblade Serenades"" 5.99 http://www.sleaszyrider.com

  16. Yep, you were right, released October of 2009. Damn, I missed out on 4-6 months of listening to this release! Son of a.... Well, it is so damn good I am leaving it on my favorites of 2010 list (for a little bit anyway)
  17. Ya know, it could be I suppose...I ordered a handful of cd's early this year, probably around the Reckless Love, Crashdiet, Parasite City timeframe and LnB was one of them I ordered from Sleazy Rider records. I have not looked at the CD itself though the main HH page says 2010 (maybe I submitted though!). I'll have to check out the packaging.
  18. Bummer, ah well, not for everyone I guess. They have dropped to 2nd on my favorites of 2010...I cannot stop playing that Lipstixx N Bulletz release, killer sleaze. Thanks for the heads up on the Axident Avenue. I will be picking up that one for sure.
  19. Goo Goo Dolls Somebody explain to me what that means...better yet, don't bother.
  20. Well, we recently had that thread about the band "Pussy Sister" ...that is even hard to type without wincing. My bad, had to Edit to get the name correct.
  21. Cool, now we have 6.....2 more for 8 total would be really nice, but that might be too much to hope for at this point.
