    Sin 4 Sin

This disc arrived late last week and I brought it to work, never had a chance to listen to it. Grabbed it today on the way out the door to listen for the ride home and my car CD player went to hell...skips and stutters. So, I still have not played this one yet. <sigh>
  3. I think 2011 will get off to a good start! Something I think a few of us on this board will be looking forward to. From Sleazeroxx.com: Hardcore Superstar Post A Teaser From Upcoming CD 'Split Your Lip' August 17, 2010 Swedish Sleaze rockers Hardcore Superstar have posted a TV clip, from TV4, of guitarist Vic Zino and singer Jocke Berg performing "Here Comes That Sick Bitch Again", taken from the forthcoming album 'Split Your Lip'. 'Split Your Lip' will be released in January 2011.
  4. Wait, I'm confused, I thought the show usually starts around 7, they go on stage around 9???
  5. Yeah, but can she suck the chrome off a trailer hitch??
  6. Oh yeah, same here. Asude from Liv's voice and outfit in this video, I really like Switchblade Serenades, especially On Parole and Death Will Greet Us. I don't have True Sound Of The Underground yet....yet.
  7. Dirty Looks - I.C.U. Without even taking a listen I was a little down on this because it is 10 songs of which 3 are covers and one is a live track. I don't care much for covers and live tracks are ok but I would rather see a band live than listen to live music. Anyway, this is a bit heavier than previous DL material but not so much that I didn't feel like it was Dirty Looks. They stick with the typical Dirty Looks chorus of sing the same catchy phrase 3 times then move on. There was only one track I found instantly catchy (Only Friend) but I can tell the others will grow on me and I'll end up liking most of the new stuff. As for the covers, well, they put a DL touch to them and of course the AC/DC cover would work on any DL release but I would rather have had more new stuff. I'll give this more spins in the coming days. I think I'll come to enjoy this one overall.
  8. Weird how coaches seem to stick with guys for no reason. Seems most people feel MN should be using Sage as #1 instead of Jackson until the Waffle comes back. I won't complain much. I feel fortunate that GB found a replacement for Waffles the Clown fairly quick. Most teams play the QB shuffle for years.
  9. I'll probably get put to the firing squad here for saying this but what the hell. For me KISS has always been one of those bands that manages to get 1-3 songs per release that are great and the rest are just filler. I don't dislike them and the songs I do like I really like a lot but I never saw the mass appeal. There I said it.
  10. This made me think about something I meant to do...I have Blackbird and really liked it but never picked up the other one. <note to self>
  11. Asphalt Ballet - S/T After listening to Asphalt Valentine I figured why not but out some more...um, asphalt!
  12. Asphalt Valentine Pretty much the same sentiments as Wes wrote above. Good southern sleazy rock about sex, drugs, rock n roll. There isn't anything that blew me away as so good I had to hit rewind the first time through BUT I think there was only one track that I didn't care for. As Wes said, cool guys to hang with at DRF and VERY energetic on stage with a minimal crowd to play for, which I appreciated. I'll be copying most of this to my MP3 player and checking out any future releases.
  13. Very cool Widda, always fun to see pics of others at a show having a great time!
  14. Have a good one Dave! I'll play some Peep Show "Turn It Up" in honor of your day.
  15. Ah, I suppose I could've read up the thread a little bit. Decent track, would have fit well with the full release.
