  1. I wouldn't doubt some of them are staged for sure. On the flip side I have an iphone and what happens to me is my big fat fingers miss some letters on the on screen keyboard or I completely mispsell the entire word (not even close) but I dont know because I hit the space bar and the autocorrect filled it so fast that I didn't notice. So for example I am trying to spell "far" and instead I spell "gart" and it replaces it with "fart". (I totally made that up, "gart" gets replaced with "Gary" on my phone). But yeah, not dense at all, some people have a lot of time on their hands to make stuff up too.
  2. http://damnyouautocorrect.com/ A site where people upload screenshots of text messages that were "autocorrected" by the phone and totally changed the meaning. Some of them almost have me in tears. The reaction of the people is sometimes funnier than the autocorrection.
  3. Fuckin' rain, then ice, then snow
  4. Happy birthday sir! I will play Keel - The Right To Rock in honor of your day!
  5. Yeah, but why did they have to kill the hot one? Because Laurie Holden plays the other sister and she's a bigger name since she was on the X-Files for many seasons as well as being on The Shield's final season. Plus the other sister looks like she would be more of a dirty girl...so it might be an ok thing to keep her. I have to see the glass half full here and that is what I got.
  6. Where is the electric drill dammit!?!??! In all seriousness, pretty decent tune, I like the guitar solo.
  7. +1 They should be put down. I wish I hadn't read this. Depressing.
  8. China - In The Middle Of The Night "Cause the moment's finally here"
  9. Did a quick scan of the thread and didn't see these so I'll add them: The Juzy New band, no vocalist yet, but the sound samples posted show promise. A band to keep in the depths of our memories. If any of you ever dreamed of doing lead screams for a Swedish sleaze band, apply within: http://www.myspace.com/thejuzy Killer Smile Not sure about these guys yet. Need to hear these samples more. http://www.myspace.com/killersmilerocks Sister I really like what they have on their myspace. Probably add to my "buy" list. http://www.myspace.com/sisteronline http://www.sisteronline.net/
  10. And shit, they have blocked the exit under the green "Run Away Here" sign! "There is no escape. Now, we shall torture you with Garth Brooks and Britney Spears music until you tell us the location of your hair rock collection!"
  11. I'm getting to the point where I think I will wait until 6-8 months AFTER the initial release to see if they come out with something. That might cause me to download the first release just to listen to it, then buy the "bonus" one later. If other people go this route it could hurt their intial sales numbers. Maybe this is the wrong approach. I dunno.
  12. I've been giving these guys a try the past week. It's pretty good, sort of reminds me of Asphalt Valentine if you like them or some of Buckcherry's earlier stuff. The article author compares them to Charm City Devils, The Last Vegas, Backyard Babies, etc. At the very least check out their Myspace page, it has a funny intro pic. http://metalexcess.com/2010/05/09/falling-red-shake-the-faith/ http://www.myspace.com/fallingredband
  13. 44 Caliber - Can You Handle Maybe a little rough in the production area, but my first spin was in my 200,000 mile car wich barely has a muffler, so now I'm listening to this at work where I can hear better. That said, I think this one could crack my top 10 for this year. After the drive in I had a couple of songs that already stuck in my head which is a good sign for me on a first sping. Those were "Fake" and "Too Many Lies". There were only 2 songs that I thought "not sure about those" but they were not so bad that a second spin might do them some good. Overall, very good sleaze. And I have to give props to Lindsay on this one...these guys were in a long list I have been putting together but not necessarily on my radar to check out any time soon.
  14. In some ways it is cool but in some ways it is annoying too, just like Japanese releases.
  15. For those of you who have not heard their full length release Get Your Hands Dirty it is pretty good hard rock with a touch of modern rock and sleaze. In my top 10 of 2010. I'll be grabbing this one when it comes out. Has their ever been a cover of Danger Zone (which is a great 80's rock tune as it is). http://www.bravewords.com/news/148940 JETTBLACK To Release Slip It On EP Posted on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 12:41:11 EST UK stadium rockers JETTBLACK will release a new EP, Slip It On, on November 22nd via Spinefarm Records UK Slip It On will be available as a 5-track physical EP and 2-track digital download. 16. Do you ever listen to Reo Speedwagon? I don't think he likes that band.
  17. This one has been on my want to watch list for a long time. Finally, Mrs. Jeff and I rented Season 1 and watched the first few episodes last night. I loved it and I think the wife did as well. He is a smart ass, good one liners, funny and lots and lots of boobies. I'm too lazy right now to see if the show is still on but I will watch everything that was made.
  18. Happy birthday Chad! Sitting at my computer now, I will play "Backyard Babies - Year By Year" in honor of your day
  19. Last night I got through the first track and a half and said to myself "blah" and went upstairs. Now reading this thread it looks like I can avoid the first 2 tracks and find some good stuff. I'll have to go back and listen some more.
