  1. Looking at Lzzys Instagram, they actually recorded a video as well but obvs not released it yet for some reason.
  2. I think the way they see it is if they go out under a different name, 50 people might show up to their gig. If they go out as Autograph, 52 might show up. Serious answer is, the band name Autograph has more value than any of the members. People might remember they had that one song that was really popular because it featured in Grand Theft Auto Vice City, but who the hell has heard of any of the current members? Simon is probably the highest profile name in the band, but Jailhouse is hardly a band even people from the scene had heard of. It is only the diehards who come here who probably even remember them, and maybe some bloke called Chad because he once saw them play a set in a local titty bar. When you talk about bands like Poison, Motley, Leppard, Jovi, Warrant, Whitesnake or Ratt, yeah these bands have a name that people will easily recognise and go see or buy their albums, no matter who is in the band. But Autograph, Jailhouse, Pretty Boy Floyd, Roxy Blue, Wildside or Tyketto as good as people might find them, on a world wide scale they are pretty much unknown and will only pull in smaller loyal fanbases. The way I would look at it is this. LA Guns sits somewhere in between those two lists, they still sell reasonable amounts of albums and fill out small venues, so anyone in a lower tier than that is gonna struggle if a band in a higher tier cannot do bigger venues.
  3. And on and on it goes. New statement from Simon Daniels on FB: Statement from Me and Marc Wieland of Autograph: We’ve seen the recent postings by Steve Lynch about the dispute over the Autograph name. We have to respond to let our fans know what is going on. As we all know, our friend and original Autograph bassist Randy Rand passed away last year while we were working on our last album, “Beyond.” Randy was a brother. We lost a band member and a friend. Much of that is personal, and we have dealt with it personally. But the album is partially business, and he wanted this album out. His widow Regina assured us many times that he did too, and that it should come out. We want to make this very clear: Steve Lynch started legal action against Regina and us days after Randy passed away, bottom line. Steve Lynch left the band three years ago and gave us his blessing. He knew about “Beyond.” So we were completely surprised when -- after we brought a very limited lawsuit to figure out if (after nine years of being full band members) we use the name for live performances -- we were personally sued by Lynch for putting out Beyond. He has sued us, our record label and the company that we jointly owned with Randy for “use of the AUTOGRAPH Mark and the Logos to promote recordings, performances and merchandise.” This was a complete shock, and now the law requires us to join everyone who could be responsible for the behavior Lynch complains of. Sadly, that includes Randy’s widow because she told us to put out the record. She signed papers on behalf of Autograph Band1, LLC, which was Randy’s company and a company that Lynch is now suing. We, as individuals in this group and part of this company, are not going to bear the risk for putting out a record that everyone agreed should come out. When we were first threatened by Lynch in June, Randy’s widow had our back. She wrote things like “Randy want[ed] this album out more than anything – I promise to do whatever you need me to do to help with this!!!!” “Yea well the album better come out because Randy is on it – and they can’t stop you from [playing] now!” On another text, she wrote “Oh god help – autograph is not done!!!! No!!!! Me and you can come up with a plan to take care of Steve.” But after the album came out, she started writing to promoters and telling them not to let us play this music. We’ve been full members of this band for nine years. We were partners in two companies with Randy, they recorded at our studio, they used our songs. We believe we have a right to play that music. Maybe the courts will decide differently, but that is why we went to court – ONLY to figure out if we could play Autograph music live. In response to this narrow problem, Lynch pulled out a bazooka and sued our record company, our booking agent and our company with Randy for putting out the last Autograph record. So ya, we are going to protect ourselves, and we are required to bring in everyone needed to settle this. One of those people is Randy’s widow, who encouraged us to come out with the record, and who signed papers and ok’d money from the company to pay for the record AND the video that we made to honor Randy. We aren’t happy about it. We’ve named her in the last complaint, but we haven’t served her with the case, gotten a subpoena for her or contacted her at all. However, we are NOT going to be painted as villains by Lynch, who left the band three years ago and gave his blessing to carry on. The thing here is the name of a band isn't just something you get to call yours just because you joined a band X years ago. Unless Daniels & Wieland own the band name legally, then the name is not theirs. The only way they can claim any right to it is if the surviving members and their estates never trademarked it. I don't like the fact he paints Lynch as a villain for going after Rands widdow, but then says after she changed her mind the band is now going after her. Double standards there. Just change the fucking name of the band. Simple. Sign in please would be an obvious name for the tribute band that they are.
  4. Girish Pradhan mentioned yesterday that he will be singing one of the songs on the new Mirka Rantanen Circus of rock album.
  5. Not as good, but also found this as well Oh and the Malaysian band is called "Search"
  6. Just found out about this guy. He is apparently Indonesian. The first video was posted by someone 6 years ago, but I have no idea of it's true age. He apparently appeared on the Bulgarian version or The Voice in 2021 Someone on one of the videos said he is now singing for a band in Malaysia. Only reason I have heard of him is there seems to have been a plethora or reaction videos on YouTube over the last year or so
  7. To be fair, in Geoffs case there are many international restrictions against him. You cannot do what he did and not get countries banning you for that kind of behaviour.
  8. I am really not sure how the US postal system works as it is totally different to what we are used to in the UK, but their pricing seems to be all over the place depending on who you order from. I expect that a big company like Amazon gets a reduction in charges so can offer cheaper postage, but I ordered a blu ray from a market place seller on the US siter early last year and the postage was only $5.39 and charged $4 import fee. I know a lot of market place sellers don't ship outside the US on the American site as I think Amazon caps what they can charge in postage, which makes them actually lose out on postage. That said, a friend in the US picked up a blu ray for me from Walmart (I think it was) as it was exclusive to them and they don't ship internationally, and she said postage for something that size and weight was around $12 and did not charge import fees. If one person can send something a bit bigger than a CD for $12 I do not understand why some people charge $20 to $25. Maybe they are restricted with what services they can use. And how can someone from Canada send something for a fraction of that price?
  9. Earlier this year I bought the Mother Rockers CD direct from the band who are in Canada. For CD and postage they charged me $20 cad. Thats just over £12.
  10. Gonna try the impossible and do my fave band, Motley Crue: errrr no ... I give up. I got it down to about 30 songs and could not decide.
  11. Yeah his videos do nothing for me either. I think it's hat that annoys me most though. I have watched a couple of his videos and spotted numerous errors as well, and pointed them out in the comments but he ignores them rather than acknowledge them. Take the Joan Jett video. He says she was 15 when she co-fronted The Runaways. The Runaways were founded in August 1975 a month before Joan turned 17 (she was born Sept 1958). This is readily available information that is not hard to fact check yet I am sure he is just going on his own memory.
  12. It was actually a reunion of sorts with 3/4 of the Wazbones line up of Tigertailz, with only Pepsi Tate missing, obviously. Unsurprisingly it's very much in the same style as Wazbones.
  13. That is ridiculous. I would expect to pay about £25 or so from the USA these days, £38 is a joke. What did they do, send it by golden eagle surrounded by angels?
  14. Just checked out their webstore and it is the same one used by Gunshine. Square site. When I enter my address to see how much the postage is (and yeah I know its gonna be more than the CD itself), it does exactly the same as the Gunshine store and says there is a problem with the address. Considering it is auto filled when you start typing your address there is either a bug with the site or they don't do international shipping. So guess that is another album I won't be able to buy.
  15. I invited ADV around for tea ... he wrote a song about it. He is my friend.
  16. I like it. Vocally he reminds me of Michael Starr mixed with someone else who I can't quite put my finger on.
  17. I finally got Quiet Riot - Road rage. Didn't wanna pay for it so had it on my Amazon wishlist and got it for Christmas. Only song on it that sounds even remotely like QR is the opening track. I like Durbin, and he does a good job with vocals, but the music is lacking and sounds like another band, but can't quite put my finger on who it reminds me of. Still at least I can add it to the collection without actually having to pay for it.
  18. I like a lot of Frontiers output so really do not have any dislike for ADV. Michael Sweet is the obvious choice for me as I am burned out on the amount of stuff he releases. While nowhere near as bad, Jeff Pilson is another one who seems to be appearing on anything these days. I am sure if you phoned Michael and Jeff up and said you need them to perform at your kids birthday party, they would.
  19. I was somewhat disapointed with Vicious as well, as I felt that relied too heavily on ballads, but that was still a better album than this even though it addressed my main complaint by having less ballads. I just wish they would, like you say, go back to their melodic rock roots with the occasional heavier track. When I was still on twitter, I saw Lzzy post something about people saying she is screaming too much and she denied it, but it just shows there must be a lot of fans that think the same way we do for her to address that.
  20. Missed this one a few months ago, but here is their first song with their all new female only line up. Must say the song to me is kinda weak. The vocals are very flat and the singer has some unusual dance moves (not that that affects the sound). Drums are barely audible as well. Really liked their last EP but this really does not do much for me
