  1. I'm guessing not too many fans here but for me I've always had a soft spot for this album. Pretty hard not to like 'Cut From Stone'. Other favourite tracks of mine include 'The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of', 'Velvet Chains', 'Who's Gonna Hold You Now' and 'My Girl'. For those who don't know, Danny Wilde is a founding member of the Rembrandts, the band responsible for the song 'I'll Be There For You' from the Friends TV show. Early on in his career, Danny was a founding member of the power pop band, The Quick. Danny Wilde - S/T (1989) The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of It's Just Like You With All Your Might Cut from Stone Velvet Chains Who's Gonna Hold You Now My Girl The Long Way Home California Sunshine Like a River We Don't Have to Say Goodbye
  2. This is the video for "Cherry Orchards" from COLD LAKE: ...make of that what you will. Well if that song is typical of the rest of 'Cold Lake' I can see why so many extreme metal fans would hate that album. A pretty shit song if you ask me. The vocals are absolutely horrible!!! Still, I'm going to try and track down the album, purely out of interest.
  3. Brilliant tune!!! One of my favs from Lou Gramm. how bored are you? Digging up a 2004 thread.. Yeah I know..was just looking for a thread on Jude Cole (which I found) and saw this one so had to add a comment. Hey it was only 5 years ago
  4. Extreme metal is not my sorta thing and to be honest I can't comment as I'm not really familiar with any of the bands listed. Regarding Celtic Frost though, I was interested in hearing one of their albums called 'Cold Lake' which I know most extreme metal fans didn't like but I heard it was more of hard rock/melodic metal/glam album. Any comments on that one?
  5. Brilliant tune!!! One of my favs from Lou Gramm.
  6. Just playing 'A View From 3rd Street' now - excellent album! Though I haven't heard any other Jude Cole albums...any recommendations?
  7. Did you go, Justin? No, I had my priorities all wrong. I went to my work xmas party instead. I'm so disappointed they were both on the same night.
  8. All dates are at Croatian clubs so i think that answers your question. Ive got a few mates members atthe Sydney Croatian club and they have big name Cro artists who noone else has heard of touring there all the time.. Ahh well that would explain it. But what about the gig at the Billboard in Melbourne. That's not a Croatian club is it? It's also the only 18+ gig so I wonder if there will be something different about that one.
  9. I think a pic is necessary. I love the band logo too!
  10. So do they sing all their songs in English as well? Of the 4 songs on their MySpace all but one are non-English. Still they have a great melodic sound and I for one would be interested in going to see them. I wonder how Lord Tim got involved with a band from Croatia? He's a member here isn't he? Maybe he can fill us in on that. It's great to see them touring here but I do find it a little strange that an unknown Croatian band would make the effort to travel to Australia and play 10 shows. Let's face it, this sort of music isn't exactly popular stuff in Australia. But as I said great to see them coming here and the more international hard rock acts that want to play here the better.
  11. Yeah I am contemplating missing this xmas party, more so now. So its not just Brisbane that has f**ked up public transport, good to know. Anyway sounds like you had an awesome night.
  12. So how was PBF guys? Has anyone seen them in Oz yet? I've seen a few bands this past week. I saw the Screaming Jets who were good as always. And last night I saw 1927. Matt, I know you had a bad experience seeing them a while back, but I've gotta say seeing them last night at a big venue with a full band, they sounded awesome! I'd highly recommend geting along to one of their gigs this year. Eric Weideman played a few new songs of his own. He has an EP out so hopefully an album won't be too far away. Unfortunately I'll have to miss PBF tonight to go to a stupid work xmas party.
  13. Finally got around to checking this out. I was a fan of the debut and I think this one is pretty good as well. 'You And I Tonight' is the best of the ballad type songs and the rest of the CD is really good as well. Nothing to skip over. I don't really like the way they did the Cars cover though.
  14. I think they may have an E-Bay store..I'll see if I can find it for ya. Nah can't find it...thought I saw either a seller or store called Demondoll or something and remember wondering if they sold on E-Bay as well. Sorry can't help you there.

  16. Sounds interesting. Your right, how many bands want to call themselves Avalon? Whilst I'm tempted to give this one a listen, I'm not sure I'll bother if the lyrics are that bad.
  17. Very cool. I've heard a few other things from this label which were'nt so good but this one certainly sounds very interesting and I'll be picking this up for sure.
  18. Wow! Apparantly this new Overkill CD can already be downloaded from certain places and its not supposed to be released until 2010.
  19. Hi Mitch, welcome to the board!
  20. PEO - Look What I've Started Earthshaker - Fugitive Martin Briley - It Comes In Waves (thanks Geoff) Richie Furay - The Heartbeat Of Love
  21. Nice, nice and a nice. Still waiting for the dates for the last 3 remasters to be released. Early 2010 I think I heard, but not yet confirmed. Cool I was wondering when the rest of em were going to be released.
  22. All sound very interesting. Great news!! Will be very keen to get the Femme Fatale CD.
  23. Rock Candy and Yesterock are both excellent labels for AOR re-issues - great titles and nice packaging, sound great as well. Eonian is probably the best for glam/hard rock releases - although they're only new and don't have a lot of titles, their packaging is awesome. Stormspell do great releases if your into the heavier side of things - some of the best packaging I've seen.
  24. So these guys are def from Norway?? When I first saw this new CD I thought it was the German band of the same name who released 'Dinomania' in 1994.
  25. I did hear one of the new tracks on Triple M Brisbane radio here last week. Can't re-call which song it was but definately from the Circle. BTW I thinks its a fairly good album, nothing too special but enjoyable enough. If we're talking modern Bon Jovi, then 'Have A Nice Day' was a much better album!
