    Walmart

I transferred from my store in Oklahoma to a store in Oregon. Still at part time. At first everything was completely laid back and fun. It didn't even seem possible that it could be a Walmart store. At several points I thought about taking on more hours. For one reason or another it never happened. Now I'm glad. I never quite trusted my good fortune to last. After all you can't deny your DNA. It eventually caught up with my store. It all began about 3 months ago. They abruptly changed the way we did things. Then they began to randomly fuck with the schedule. That led to people being fired. Thankfully they slowed down on that nonsense. From that point on it has been a rapid descent into terror. The store is not far off from being as bad as my last one. It's simply amazing how fast a place can deteriorate. Sunday night was one of the worst nights I've ever had in my working life. Within the first hour I got written up and my friend was fired. Add to that being in severe pain and having a negative reaction to Aleve. In that short hour so much was destroyed. I lost my friend and the dreams I had were shattered. I'm not one to take it lying down. Management will not get away with their abuse of power.
  2. I wasn't able to eat black eyed peas yesterday. I'm definitely eating some today. I hope that doesn't affect my luck this year.
  3. I'm glad it's over. Being alone on Thanksgiving sucks.
  4. And the way games are going now I am very wary to buy anything when it first comes out. It seems as though pretty much everything now comes out half baked. Once the game is out and they already have everyone's money they promise to offer patches to problems that should have been addressed before they even released it. Do they not have game testers any more? I'm looking specifically at Assassin's Creed right now. As bad as the latest installment sounds they should have held off the release. Sounds like a fun game. Not a chance I would touch it unless they released a fixed version.
  5. I haven't had much hands on experience with the One even though I bought it a while back. I'm still in limbo at the moment and don't have it in front of me yet. It still resides with my brother. I have a feeling he hasn't touched it much either. My experience so far has left a bad taste in my mouth. The user interface is complete garbage. I don't know how much time was wasted trying to figure it out. And Microsoft's push of digital content annoys the hell out of me. The one game I had to have was KI. I waited til they released it in physical format. Instead of doing it proper they released a bare bones game. If you want the bonus content the only way you can get it is if you buy the digital version.

    Leykis 101

After I moved to Oregon we've kept in contact. That way if I drop into Ogden again he'll know in time.
  7. Considering it has been two years and it's still going I'm guessing it's been a success?

    Leykis 101

I sent him a text yesterday. So far no response. Last response was Oct 04.
  9. It's out today. I've been listening to the digital download. So far I have to say I like it.
  10. I'm listening to this cd right now. It's not bad. Favorite track so far is Do Or Die.
  11. How about that. She's been a member since 2 years before she was born.
  12. I've been listening to this one lately. It's really not my style and not what I expected. It's growing on me though. Probably wouldn't have even given it a look had CJ Snare not been involved.
  13. I listened to it a couple times. It's not bad. It just doesn't quite have the same energy. Almost like a band such as Dirty Looks trying to be Kix. The ballad was quite terrible as well.
  14. This is likely a topic still way off for me to think about seriously. When the time comes I do have a few names. For a girl I would say Ariel (for a girl I once knew) or Winry (from Fullmetal Alchemist). For a boy I would say Vegeta (DBZ) or a name associated with the Confederacy (such as John S. Mosby).
  15. I think this tour is hitting Portland. I'm debating going.
  16. True Sounds was a great album. Now and Forever was a good follow up. I'm holding out hope for this one and I'll likely be pre ordering it.
  17. Mark Slaughter is my favorite vocalist. Considering how bad he was last time I saw Slaughter I'm not expecting much. That is sad for me to say.
  18. It's like the angry version of If I Was The King by Steel Panther.
  19. You make it sound as though there is a right choice. Neither console has shown much at this point. Because of the promotion I basically got the system with a game (it came with a Madden download) for $300. The system was a bargain and will provide me with what I need. I'm not sure how I made the wrong choice here. As for Destiny I'm going to hold off on it. I've been seeing a lot of mixed reviews.
  20. Yesterday I bought an Xbox One. There's currently a promotion (which ends tomorrow) that if you buy the system you get a free game. Lucky for me I have an employee discount and there are no taxes here. Even better Walmart did a gift card instead of a free game. I can spend the $60 on anything I want. This is a pretty big deal for me. I haven't bought a new console since the GCN. Unfortunately it might be a week or two before I can even use it. Apparently it's not compatible with the TV in front of me and I need the Internet to download updates before I can even use it. As soon as I figure that out things are going to be a lot more interesting.
  21. Do you have any other demos from Portland area bands? I would like to know more about the area since I live here now. Like are there any Dirty Rhythm demos floating around?
  22. I believe I ordered 31 cds. I kind of shocked myself when it got up that high. I really hope that helps you out Sam.
  23. Sister Sin appears to be in horror over track 10. Personally I think they should put a track on their new album called Nickleback.
