I thought Punky Chips was the guitarist with Angel

Maybe he makes cookies now?

Or would that be "biscuits"? ;)

Yes. My butler Throgmorton says it's biscuits, no Americanism's in my stately home thank you.

My butler Throgmorton asked the cook downstairs Mr's Trubshaw and came up with this description.

An English crumpet is a cake made from flour or potato and yeast eaten mainly in the United Kingdom, but also in the nations of the Commonwealth. In Scotland the term is used for a large thin teacake, made from the same ingredients as a "Scotch pancake".

The term dates back to 1694 and may refer to a crumpled or curled-up cake, or have Celtic origins relating to the.Breton krampoez meaning a "thin, flat cake" and the Welsh crempog, a type of pancake.

Actually it's from Wkipedia. I'm not at home so I can't post a picture.

ALSO

It's used in slang (but years ago in say the 60's / 70's not really used as much these days), for a good looking member of the female gender. I.E. "Corrrr Lummeee. She's a decent bit o' crumpet!!!" :P

Hmmmm.........looks like a Thomas' English Muffin to me.

A little softer I think though, kinda like a cross between an english muffin and a pancake, if that makes any sense.

None whatsoever.

Then my work here is done.

Crumpets are actually pretty nice. Best enjoyed with butter and honey. Jam also goes well and some apply Vegemite. They're pretty big in Australia too. I headed the Official Crumpet Lovers Fanclub a couple of years back. Now I'm just lying... but they're nice.

A lot of people eat bacon along with eggs, at the same time.

My clocks tell me I'm handsome from time to time, but that's about all I ever hear out of them.
