So what...? Sam is over on melodicrock.com ... why bring it here to HH?

Just let Sam be Sam... if you wanna buy from Retrospect.... fine. If not... then don't. Pretty easy...huh?

Haven't we had enough of this crap for awhile?

I don't know......Since Sam is the CEO of Retrospect and this is the Retrospect thread, I though this would be the appropriate place for it.

When Sam starts telling people (customers) to STFU, it would seem newsworthy. If the CEO of Walmart said that to a customer......well, just imagine.

Sam also admits to not having the legal rights from the labels to do the reissues, using the excuse that "he" believes the musicians should own the rights. I figured that alone was worth the read.

If you don't want to read that "crap", don't. I just think that people ought to know.

I believe Dan banned Sam from this board for 30 days for some comments he made in the "Lon's Car Wreck" thread... so I guess he's gotta go spew somewhere else for the time being? ;)

Why do you think I'M always here? If it weren't for the therapeutic effects of the F**k Thread and the soothing sights of Major Babe-Age, I would have lost it long ago. ;)

I should have known better, but I was too curious and I went and checked on Melodic Rock. Like always, I shook my head in dismay at Sam's negative tone and for his on going war against anyone and anything. To have so much hatred and anger must make for an unpleasant life.

On the other hand (no self pleasuring joke was intended here), Keith I decided to check out the Major Babe-Age thread, NICE!!! real NICE!!!

For some reason, maybe it's the French language barrier, but Major Babe-Age, sounded more like a MILF thread, not that that is all bad, but more suited for the older gents.

Backed. I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere once that that thread was the sole reason the internet was created. The rest just followed afterwards.

No kidding, I always pop in on this thread whenever I login. I actually started keeping a bib by my computer so I don't get any drool on my keyboard.

Hey it was a long day and after catching up and reading 27 pages of Lonnie, I was beat. I made the gramatical corrections on the original post.

You weren't drinking when I made you laugh were you? I love it when people spit there drink out.

Entertaining as always, must be of some kind of therapeutic value to him or something. "Must... insult... someone... anger... all consuming..."

I can't imagine it's good for business to act like that on a regular basis, but hey, whatever...

    • Really good band, but haven't heard from them in an absolute age. Shame if all they're doing is a few covers.  The 'Bye bye bye' cover is killer.  'I want it that way' is a great song anyway, but their version is gold. Love that.  But just to prove you can't polish a dog turd, no one could make 'Thriller' sound listenable to me.  Amplified even more with 'Believer.' No Imagine Dragons song should ever be covered or allowed to be acknowledged that it was even actually recorded. Horrendous band and I hate the cover only a tiny bit less than the original, which is a tonne.
    • Kickin' riff. This is a cool tune indeed. New album sounding promising.
    • Doesn't do much for me. Not sure it's any better than what I've heard from the new BJ album... but I guess it's not too bad. Wouldn't play it again, though.
    • Bit 50/50 on it, myself. I prefer the stuff on Mick's solo album, but it's not a bad song. That kind of solo in a Motley song definitely sticks out... but not in a bad way. It's cool. I dig.
    • Did they actually break up? They were releasing albums annually and finally fixed up the production end but haven't heard from them for a while now. Always loved everything they released, personally.  Edit - yeah, 'Be Here' from 2020 seems to be the last album. Allegedly still active, but obviously no recent albums. Would love to hear them add to the discography.
    • Released back in 2019 on vinyl only in most of the world, the only place it could be purchased on CD was Japan. It is finally available on CD to the rest of the world with the addition of two bonus tracks. One is the usual "bonus" track of a live recording of Go man go, and the other is the song Don't give up which was released at the start of the pandemic as a single. https://townsendmusic.store/product/140275?lf=035f179d9c80928d2d3b155fa72b0731 Follow the breadcrumbs to a sonic treasure trove with Alice Cooper's "Breadcrumbs" EP, which will be available on CD for the first time ever, featuring additional bonus tracks on this edition! Originally released in 2019 as a limited-edition 10" vinyl record, "Breadcrumbs" is a tribute to the garage rock heroes of Alice Cooper's hometown of Detroit. The EP features six tracks that showcase Cooper's raw and energetic take on classic Detroit tunes, including Suzi Quatro's "Your Mama Won't Like Me", Bob Seger's "East Side Story", and the MC5's "Sister Anne". It also includes the two additional bonus tracks "Don’t Give Up", conveying Cooper’s message of hope and perseverance to his fans during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a live version of "Go Man Go" from his electrifying set at Hellfest 2022. The album featured a star-studded lineup of Detroit musicians, including Wayne Kramer of the MC5, Johnny "Bee" Badanjek of the Detroit Wheels, and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. "Breadcrumbs" marked the beginning of Alice Cooper's homecoming, a journey that culminated in the critically acclaimed studio album "Detroit Stories", released in 2020. This EP served as a taste of Cooper's profound affection for his hometown's rich musical heritage, making it an essential addition for any devoted fan of the shock rock icon.   1. Detroit City 2020 2. Go Man Go 3. East Side Story 4. Your Mama Won't Like Me 5. Devil With A Blue Dress On / Chains Of Love 6. Sister Anne 7. Don't Give Up (Bonus Track) 8. Go Man Go (Live At Hellfest 2022) (Bonus Track)
    • New song "Summerlovin" feat. Olli Herman, me likey...
    • Pretty awesome! I often fantasize about starting an AOR, but I know nothing about making music.
    • Not gonna lie, I kind of like it. Hardly classic Crue, more like something that would have appeared on the Corabi-fronted self-titled album, but it's not bad for an oldschool band trying a modern hard rock song. That being said, I expect my opinion to be a lonely one, and I understand why fans are dogging on it...
