The lead singer certainly has a Tom Keifer growl about him huh?? LOL The guitars sound great too. Reminds me of the Trixie albums and it should as it is produced by Ronnie from Trixie/Amsterdam.

This album is just fantastic! I can already rate it in the top 10 this year and there are a ton of good things coming out this year. I can't see 10 other CDs being better. (Actually, I wouldn't mind being wrong, but, I just think this album is that good.)

There are the requisite comparisons to Kix and Cinderella because of the vox, but, this CD is really some good hard rockin' stuff! This things kicks the attitude in the car up quite a few notches, even at 6:30 AM!

And I have to thank Rick, without whom I most likely wouldn't have found this.

That's why this site/MB will always rock out with it's c*ck out!

Not a problem. They are certainly my surprise find of 2006 so far. :banger:

Picked this one up a couple weeks ago and while I wouldn't go as far as HSF and called it fantastic (then again, what would you expect from somebody who considers Butch Walker's "Letters" a masterpiece? :P ), it is a pretty solid slab of Cinderella/Kix-influenced hair-metal. And HSF, ol' buddy, ol' pal, lemme tell ya, if you think Miss Crazy belongs in the Top Ten of 2006, do yourself a favor and get your hands on the new Jesse Strange: "Looking for Some Strange." That one rawks so hard that you'll go home, slap your wife, spank your mama, and scream "OHHHH YEEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!" at the top of your lungs. Of course, it's still good even if you're not in a wife-slappin'-mamma-spankin' mood.

Miss Crazy...Jesse Strange...2006 is shaping up to be a good year for hair-metal maniacs!

I was wondering if anyone else got a little worried when they first got the cd and saw the picture of the band on the back? I know I did. When I put the cd in I was half expecting some crazy death metal band to start screaming from the speakers. :band:

WOW! Mark throwin' jabs at me and Butch again! **in my best John Lithgow voice** "Oh no!"

Seriously, while I can't vouch for you having great taste, since you think so little of "Letters", :poke: I did take your advice (because I have heard great things about it quite a bit lately) and ordered both Jesse Strange albums.

But, Miss Crazy still is a juggernaut from the stuff I've heard released in recent memory.

Been living with Miss Crazy for a week or so now (no, my wife didn't stop taking her meds! :P ) and I'm really enjoying it. The Cinderella/Britny Fox/Kix comparisons being made are dead on, and this one grows on ya with each listen. Great way to start off 2006 for Metal Mayhem Music, and Miss Crazy! :banger:

Now...let's check out ol' Jesse Strange which I got in the mail today!

It is a good solid disc, some great hard rockers especially towards the end. The ballad is very good and very Cinderella-esque and though the vocals aren't my preferred option, it's a good solid hard rock disc, that's for sure.

    • Shit. As much as he annoys me lately, I hope he recovers quickly.
    • New album 'Life Will Never Be The Same' out March 3 through Mighty Music. Press release: After their previous release “The Sky is the Limit”, Norwegian band STARGAZER entered the radar of connoisseurs of the hard rocking world. The group was loudly hailed as one to watch. They received a lot of great reviews all over the western world and were, back then in late 2019, ready to take on the world for serious touring. But serious touring saw an abrupt end due to Covid-19 for almost every band in 2020-21, with Stargazer being no exception. The nordic five-piece didn’t loose their spirit and, diligently, took the downtime to start penning their next album. Produced by guitar player William Ernstsen and vocalist Tore André Helgemo, “Life Will Never Be The Same” is the result of those dark times with a silver lining ahead. Engineered by William at Jedimasterstudios, Trondheim, and mixed and mastered in Medley Studios, Copenhagen, by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Electric Guitars, etc), “Life Will Never Be The Same” is exactly the kind of album that you’d expect from a matured Stargazer and then some. The five-piece powerhouse hammers on with Scandinavian vibes that consists of virtuosity and a vintage sound with a modern twist. Firing on all cylinders in combination with the sense of good melodies, great riffs, solos and songwriting handcraft. With one of rock’s best voices and one of the best blues-based hard rock guitar players around today. All this on top of a rock steady hard groove with killer rock songs such as “Live My Dream”, or down to the most tender and heartfelt tunes, as for example the single “Live Today”, with emotions worn on their sleeves. “Live Will Never Be The Same” is the sound of Norwegian classic hard rock flagship, and Stargazer sets sail again with its this third release in their discography. One to change their life – and yours – for good. Tracklisting: 1. Can You Conceive It 2. Live My Dream 3. Rock The Sky 4. Live Today 5. Don’t Kill 6. Will I Come To Heaven 7. Heartbroken 8. Turn Off The Light 9. Beyond The Moon 10. Take Me Home 11. Push Me
    • Forgot to mention this here, but last month I was officially declared as in remission.
    • Hope he makes a full recovery. If it was me, I would change next years tour name to Operation Heartcrime.
    • Former QUEENSRŸCHE Singer GEOFF TATE Underwent Aortic Valve Replacement December 6, 2022   May contain affiliate links   Former QUEENSRŸCHE singer Geoff Tate has revealed that he underwent an aortic valve replacement this past summer. According to NHS, an aortic valve replacement is a type of open-heart surgery used to treat problems with the heart's aortic valve.   The aortic valve controls the flow of blood out from the heart to the rest of the body. An aortic valve replacement involves removing a faulty or damaged valve and replacing it with a new valve made from synthetic materials or animal tissue.   The 63-year-old musician discussed his health in a new interview with Beneath A Desert Sky. Asked how he is feeling, nearly five months after his operation, Tate said: "I feel really good overall. This might be the first time I'm telling someone in the press what I went to the hospital for. I had a procedure done called an aortic valve replacement in my heart. Long story short, I was feeling very fatigued one day while on tour. It was challenging for me to climb stairs. Anyway, I thought it best to get checked out, and after several tests from my doctor, he indicated that this particular type of surgery needed to be done. I'd say it took around a month [after the surgery] before I started feeling better. Honestly, I could barely walk after it, and I couldn't sing at all. Before this, I'd never been in a hospital in my life."   He added: "I can't say that I'm feeling '100 percent' better, so to speak. However, I'm definitely feeling a lot better now than I was over the summer. Just taking it a day at a time and am grateful to get back on the road." On July 3, Tate took to his Facebook page to share a photo of him with Dr. Sami Kueri from the department of cardiovascular surgery at the Universitäts-Herzzentrum Freiburg-Bad Krozingen (University Heart Center Freiburg) in Bad Krozingen, Germany, and he included the following message: "All my gratitude to the talented Dr. Sami Kueri for giving me a healthy heart!! Feeling so much better each day!" In June, Tate said that he would take a few months off the road as he recovered from a medical procedure.   On June 13, Geoff, who fronted QUEENSRŸCHE for 30 years — from the band's inception through 2012 — took to his social media to write: "I am having a medical procedure and my health professionals want me to recover over the Summer. I will be back and rocking South America in January. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the road." Tate's recent tour celebrated the 30th anniversary of QUEENSRŸCHE's "Empire" and "Rage For Order" albums. In April 2014, Tate and QUEENSRŸCHE announced that a settlement had been reached after a nearly two-year legal battle where the singer sued over the rights to the QUEENSRŸCHE name after being fired in 2012. Fellow original QUEENSRŸCHE members Michael Wilton (guitar),Scott Rockenfield (drums) and Eddie Jackson (bass) responded with a countersuit. The settlement included an agreement that Wilton, Rockenfield and Jackson would continue as QUEENSRŸCHE, while Tate would have the sole right to perform the albums "Operation: Mindcrime" and "Operation: Mindcrime II" in their entirety live.   Tate was replaced in QUEENSRŸCHE by former CRIMSON GLORY singer Todd La Torre. Geoff will embark on a tour in 2023 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of "Operation: Mindcrime".
