Has to be their most brutal ever. Despite Santolla's melodic leads this is their most technical & vicously brutal disc. Even lifelong DM fans may struggle with this...

Jon Oliva's Pain - Some good stuff here.

Mob Rules - Not bad. Has potential.

Negative - Very Good this. "A Song For The Broken Hearted" is an awesome track.

Saracen - This is an awesome CD. Think Trans Siberian Orchestra but heavier.This is a must hear CD.

Talisman - Good CD and will get better with a few more listens.

Iron Maiden - THE X FACTOR

 

I just re-acquired this one and it seems that time may have cooled my hatred of it somewhat... it's still not a GREAT album by any means but it's nowhere near as horrible as I thought when I first bought it as a new release back in '95 (and promptly traded it away scant weeks later.) As I listened to it this morning in the car I thought how cool it would be to hear Bruce Dickinson singing "Lord of the Flies" and "Man On The Edge." Either one of those tunes would fit well in their current live set (where for some Ungodly reason they continue to flog "Sign of the Cross" off this CD...)...
