after a while on the shelf, it's time to put this back on and to remind myself of how great this one really is. I might be alone in this here, but I really think that this one is such an accomplishment, and after more than 10 spins (if i didn't lost count), the songs haven't deteriorate even a bit.

 

I admit that this is somewhat a moody record, and I know I've rated this 95 earlier and go back to 75 and then to 80 but should have finished at 90%.

 

You'll get the big production Newman has and of course the songs quality. Funny thing is that the songs are either uptempo and energetic or very mellow, so it's like yin and yang, black and white, a big contrast.

 

The first half is better, but the second one is also very good. 'Better Man' is my most fave and 'Stop In Time' is also one of the best heart-melting ballad ever written in 2011. The hidden track is also surprisingly excellent. I expect a follow-up to this duet and hopefully not just one-time shot.
