Such a great song.

I've always enjoyed the song, loved the sound of it, but yesterday was the first time I actually noticed the lyrics. They're uncannily applicable to me, right now.

I know they're not featured on the main site, but i had "The Doors" best of spinning in the car today. It's a great disc. Love this track.

 

 

A couple of interesting facts i'm sure you're all aware of.

 

1- "Mr Mojo risin'" is an anagram of "Jim Morrison"

 

2- Jim Morrison was born and raised in Melbourne.

I always find myself revisiting these guy's albums. Particularly this song. I love the line "i look for Heaven in the Hell i've been through".

 

By an incredibly high margin, this is definitely the best album CITA, Guild of Ages and Relapsed ever released... by a long way.

Yeah, I don't dislike the band, but defo a pretty average band. I dig those two songs, but imo that's about as good as it gets for them and that's not really great news.

A good effort by billy, but i think i have to go with the original mate.

I do like this cover version though. It ticks all the boxes for me, pays tribute to the original while creating a different song that isn't so different that it sucks.

I remember all the "Led Zeppelin" soundalike hype when this album was released.

I absolutely love the intro to this one and the song itself has a very cool laid back vibe.

This is a cover of a Robyn tune. Great song, but, as much as I love the Boys, Robyn's version will always be my favourite.

I love that album, especially "Troublemaker" and "Child of the city".

First heard Troublemaker on the "Hellraiser III" soundtrack also featuring House of Lords.

Freakin love Mark Tremonti. One of my favourite artists. This is the kind of ballad i enjoy these days. Intelligent and oozing class. Killer guitar tone and solo.

Yeah, I think it's an awful album. That was also my favourite song when I owned it, but imo it's just a really, really poor album. It doesn't even seem like they even really tried to make it good. It's just a boring album by a bored sounding band... imo.

 

Oh wait! No, 'She loves' was my favourite song on the album. That one was okay.

I had it on a compilation cassette back in the day that also featured "next to you"

by "Hurricane".

I can't remember the name of the tape, but i do remember falling in love with

this song and it took me absolutely forever to finally get my hands on the album.
