Tobe "Texas Chainsaw" Hooper directed this reverent-but-bland remake of the 50s sci fi classic in which a kid discovers his parents and school mates are all slowly being assimilated by brain-stealing Martians. Technically well made with some cool creatures but otherwise flat & boring. Skip it.
