DEATHWISH III

It's the one where Bronson is being attacked by the kids from FAME.

Pathetic!! :wtf:

Godawful movie. But it contains one of my favorite scenes ever... when Bronson is blasting away at the street gang and the old folks are watching from their apartment window like "Look! Mister Kersey just shot one of the punks!" :rofl2:

The Lost Boys

Still enjoyable after all these years

yknow i really wanted to like this film, i waited 2 years before i finally to see it and when i did? i was really disappointed :(

i dunno, i know its over 20 years old an all, and that its gonna look cheesy....but i expected something abit more serious, although the two Coreys think of it as a comedy film so maybe i missed something

last film i watched was probably Pineapple Express.....i liked it, but then again i like most stoner flicks

oh no wait, it was "The Frighteners"....piece of shite.

You see mate......for me 'Lost Boys' is a classic. And I really like 'The Frighteners' too....one of Fox's better movies.

I dont know, i respect its fanbase and what its done in the whole grand scale of things...but i read/watch gritty vampire stories and yknow after watching Supernatural, its hard to take the frog brothers seriously when theyre like 15..

saying that, ive only seen it once.....and i didnt like The Crow when i first saw it, now its my 2nd favourite film!

as for the Frighteners, i caught it halfway through when MJF is being interrogated by Combes, just before you find out whos ghost it is thats flying around...maybe you need to see the whole thing to appreciate it, but i thought the effects were pretty shoddy and while the story was actually pretty good, the execution could have been better......i was watching it thinking it could be an episode of Tales From The Crypt the way it was shot and then i saw that it was directed by Rober Zemeckis and it all made sense (later found out that it was intended to be a TFTC feature but Zemeckis changed his mind)

if it was a graphic novel id probably love it, i just have this thing about cheap looking cinematography and effects.....i thought it was a straight to video release until after i watched it :/

Actually the effects were pretty groundbreaking for the year - 1996 remember!

qte : "The visual effects were created by Jackson's Weta Digital, who had only been in existence for three years. This, plus the fact that The Frighteners required more digital effects shots than almost any movie made up until that time, resulted in the eighteen-month period for effects work by Weta Digital being largely stressed."

"Prom Night IV: Deliver Us From Evil" (1992)

--- generic slasher crap about a supposedly-possessed, crazed Catholic priest who escapes from imprisonment and carves up a couple of teenyboppers that are using his old home base as a post-Prom getaway retreat. Occasionally interesting but very slow moving for much of its length. There are some nice T&A shots but otherwise this is nothin' I'd watch again.

Do yourself a favor, save 90 minutes of your life and just watch the trailer instead. Consider it my Public Service for the day. :)
