WTF!?

New album later this year?

That's huge news!

I'm foaming at the mouth already.

It would be nice to get an official version of this Jeff Paris classic.

I believe the boys went over to the US to collaborate with Jeff on the never to be "Roxus" second album.

He's spent 20 years trashing the band and everyone in it, hating on just about anyone that challenged him on that and spewing endless amounts of hate via FB about everything and every one - including threating me with physical violence for asking if he'd like to be part of the Robin Randall box set (he's the only person out of 30 that said no).

And NOW he wants new Roxas? Gimmie a fucking break. What an asshole. Don't buy this for a second. There has to be an ulterior motive.

Excellent news...but isnt that a re-recorded track off the debut? Is he re-recording the old stuff or new material? He does sound great though

He should re-record his solo album with a producer that has some cred.

I cant comment to your interactions with him, sounds pretty fucked up, I completely believe you, for some reason he is not the easiest person on earth to get along with, he's a fucking douche bag to a lot of people, I don't know him well enough to know why, we get on great so I don't really pay attention to it, when he starts being a cocksucker I just blow him off, he's absolutely a diva though, no doubt about it, sorry you had to deal with that kind of shit, but he's hardly the biggest dildo Ive interacted with in this industry, but hes def a loose cannon

Yeah it's on Nightstreet, far as I know it's the only rerecording he did, that's why he put it up, he's going to release a few more samples here very shortly, I figured everyone would know the song, that's why I just posted it, I didn't realize he pissed so many people off, LOL, fuck it almost wasn't even worth giving the heads up, I wont be doing this again, I mean if it weren't for how excited Glen seemed it would've been a total wash.

well that's what I meant by a new album, new songs, you guys do know there is an unreleased track on my YT channel, I believe it was done for a 2nd album that never happened, it's kind of a soft song, so not my cup of tea,

Melodicrock, Juno has had an ongoing brutal battle on FB with Ken Tamplin, he brutalizes Ken, it's pretty hilarious, I don't know what hia problem is with Ken, but that's who he is a genuine cocksucker to, they hate each others guts, but it's been completely awesome for my entertainment.

I have no idea why he's picking on Ken either. I like Ken, I've met him and his family and he's a very positive person, although his religious dogma and hard-right views need avoiding at all costs.

Juno - I love the Roxas album and asked if he would like to get the unreleased stuff out there as I was working with the others involved. He said go ahead, I don't care about that stuff, do whatever you want. I went searching for better source material but he dropped out of contact so I didn't go any further.

Some months later I asked about him joining everyone else in approving use of a few tunes for the Randall's box set - songs which he didn't even write, just sang. Next thing I'm a motherfucker who he is going deal with should he ever see me in person. Just completely unhinged and unstable. I should try and find the old messages. Quite something!

I think he will have some trouble moving forward, as who wants to work with someone like that and such a reputation for being a prick.

Well I don't talk with him about Roxus or music really, I haven't figured him all the way out, Ive seen him be completely unmercifully vicious to people who ask him about Roxus, and then Ive seen him be a complete stud and answer every question he's asked, it's what I mean by he's a loose cannon, I don't know if he's bi-polar, or some other mental illness, his volatile mood swings I reckon are not fun being on the wrong end of, but I would be lying if I said it hasn't been hilarious and I would be lying if I said he's never been anything but good to me, I cant figure his mindset,

he acts like he hates his past and wants no part of it, but other times he seems kind of proud of it and will have conversations with people about it, I imagine people he's close to walk on egg shells around him, if he pulls that shit on me I don't give a fuck, I'll give it right back, he's not a god to me, he's just a dude that talks some shit with me and he's fucking hilarious, Id be genuinely interested to know what was behind his outburst on you, somebody told me at the time you hit him up about that shit, he could've been brawling with one of the guys in Roxus, apparently there's one of his ex band members he cannot get along with, perhaps Dragan?? IDK

Who knows mate. Too unstable. I just know he used just about every curse word in existence to me, emailed Robin Randall the dear lady and did the same to her....just a complete nob and someone I won't ever work with on any level under any circumstance.

And there's only a handful of people in that category!

The bass player plays in a band called Chocolate Starfish.

Starfish had big hit with cover of Carly Simon's " You're So Vain".

    • I dig it, but then I also enjoyed Joe Elliot’s Down ‘n’ Outz side project, so it’s no surprise I’m enjoying this.
    • I'm really excited for this one. Yes is one of my favorite bands but I just can't get into anything they do without him singing. That first song sounds awesome! His voice has held up remarkably well over the years and the band is great. Musically it reminds me a lot of something from The Ladder or the better parts of Union.
    • Well Erik had to take that post down. The record label told him it isnt sposed to be revealed til next week ha ha
    • Just ordered "Shotgun Mistress" - Kings Of The Revolution new CD .......
    • Bruce Dickinson - The Mandrake project (deluxe in book pack with comic)
    • They always have at least a handfull of good songs on each album, I'm not overwhelmed by those first two singles though. Jesper Binzer's (vocalist) solo record "Dying is Easy" from 2017, is better than every D-A-D realease post "Everything Glows" imo.

    • Legendary - pedestrian modern country song which Jon is unable to elevate due to vocal limitations. A weak song made even worse by the inclusion of unnecessary/annoying whoa's.   We Made It Look Easy - another modern country song, I don't mind this one, it's pleasant enough but the song never really elevates   Living Proof - a rare up tempo song, this one has a good chorus probably the best chorus from Jon in almost 20 years, the weak vocals prevent it from being an anthem, and I don't like the talkbox on the song, I know Jon has become allergic to guitars but he shouldn't have buried the riff with the talkbox.   Waves - I don't mind it, another pleasant country song but jon does sound awful on the bridge. Seeds - bores me to tears Kiss the Bride - poor Stephanie. The People's House - does nothing for me Walls of Jericho - harmless and catchy, I don't mind it. I Wrote You a Song - decent melody, I don't mind it. Living in Paradise - milquetoast My First Guitar - Jon is in love with his first guitar, but as mentioned before Jon has become allergic to guitars so this song is kind of ironic. Another song I find a chore to get through. Interesting he should mention Kiss as their song Forever is much better than anything on this album.   Hollow Man - can't stand this singer/songwriter crap jon does, a hard pass. That Was Then, This Is Now - another boring modern country song, with vocals flatter than a pancake.
    • Album out August 23rd. From Frontiers: During Jon Anderson’s 39-year Rock and Roll Hall of Fame career as the lead vocalist of YES, he was seen as one of the leading proponents of the Progressive Rock movement. During his tenure with YES, he recorded 19 studio albums and multiple live albums, many of which have been certified gold and platinum. Albums such as The “YES” album, “Fragile”, “Close to the Edge”, “Tales of Topographic Oceans”, and “90125” remain classic albums to this day. Songs such as “Roundabout”, “Yours is No Disgrace”, “And You and I”, “Going for the One”, “Awaken”, and “Owner of a Lonely Heart” were staples on Active Rock radio throughout the 70’s and 80’s. While still a member of YES, Jon released multiple solo records and collaborations, the most noteworthy being his 4 albums with Greek composer Vangelis Upon leaving YES in 2008, Jon continued releasing multiple solo records and collaborations. In 2023, after connecting with a group of New York musicians called The Band Geeks, Jon embarked on a summer of 2023 tour performing 2 hours of YES epics and classics. With The Band Geeks, Jon found a group of musicians that he felt could collaborate with him to create a body of work that rivaled the classic YES sound of the 70’s and 80’s. The result of this collaboration is “True”, Jon’s debut album for Frontiers Records. The 9-song album harkens back to the sound of classic YES and features compositions of all lengths with the centerpiece being the 16 minute song “Once Upon a Dream”. Jon and The Band Geeks will be supporting the new album with extensive touring TRACKLIST: 1. True Messenger 2. Shine On 3. Counties And Countries 4. Build Me An Ocean 5. Still A Friend 6. Make It Right 7. Realization Part Two 8. Once Upon A Dream 9. Thank God
    • I used to listen to their '89 and '91 albums a lot but every try to get used to their newer outputs didn't work. Now I took some time again to listen to their last few albums and somehow I started loving them. Not every song but 70-80% on each album, which is quite a lot. I'm very excited for "Speed of Darkness". The first two songs are good (not as good as my favourites on the last albums, though but a good start). In "The ghost" I sometimes feel like the voice is a bit late here and there, which is something that I notice pretty often recently. Don't know why that happens (e.g. the new Kissin Dynamite songs, Autumn's child the last two albums, Lordi sometimes on the last album). I hope it's only in that song.
