SKID ROW - The Gang's All Here (2022)

Figured this deserved it's own album thread. I have heard a leaked copy of the album, and like I said in the Erik joins Skid Row thread, that the songs are the problem here. Erik sounds fantastic throughout and really lifts some mediocre songs. The sound like vintage STTG era Skid Row on this album only the songs seem to fall short. Everything else was pretty darn good.

 

 

 

 

I uploaded this privately so it wouldn't get taken down. This is easily my favorite track on the album. Th elead track "Hell Or High Water"

yeah, sorry was mad busy over weekend.

It's very STTG. 

Good for what it is but can't see me becoming a massive fan of SR again on the back of this release.

Just wanted to say for me the new album is fantastic!

Erik sounds phenomenal and I guess for me it's just a fun melodic hard rock album.  Yeah, I know I'm an Erik fanboy so that's probably part of it.  But it's hitting my tastes well.

New album pre-listening currently playing here.  Looks like it was removed after it ended and I haven't noticed that it's available for re-watch.  Will update post if I see it.

I'm not much for ballads these days and also not generally into 7 minute songs...but I dig this tune.

Yeah, I also listened to that many .before I ordered the vinyl.

Tear It Down is the stand out.

Tomb Bomb and October's Song also sound great.

Impressive after 1 listen.

For me it would slot nicely between ST and STTG.

Eric does a nice Bach.

Generally I don't look for new singers to sound like old ones, but he pulls this off well.

Should make all the Bach lovers happy.

Nothing makes the Bach lovers happy lol!  

It just kills me constantly seeing the comments on social media.  I mean, have these people even heard Bach sing within the past year or two?  If you ask me,  Bach and Vince Neil would be a good sing off.  And we know the dude has the mentality of a 5 year old kid and an ego the size of Texas.  

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed those first couple albums.  But why these people refuse to wake up and smell the coffee after 25 years is beyond me.  They all sound like pouting little kids...."No Bach, no Skid Row....blah....blah" lol. 

I have to laugh as the majority of those truthers aren't even aware Bach wasn't the original singer in the band lol.

We get a half arsed HEAT album and a decent Skid Row album instead of a brilliant new HEAT album.

You can have the best singer in tge world but if the songs suck it makes little difference. But on this Skid Row album the songs are good.

The problem SR had when Bach left was that they had run out of good songs.
In fact you could argue that they ran out of songs after STTG.
Look at VH, they moved on with a new singer. Songs were great, they got better.
ACDC did the same
Iron Maiden
etc
If the songs are there they will do well.
Of course promotion etc comes into the mix, for all I know SR have had some great songs that I've missed, but if they were really good, they would have created a buzz and I would have bothered.

These are really good songs, I expect the album to do well.
