What the hell is a Nik Kershaw?? Don't even know that name either, but I'm going to check it out later.

I'm astounded. You must have heard it at some point. "Wouldn't it be good" was by far Kershaw's best track, but "The Riddle" and "Wide Boy" were also huge hits.

This is an old one featuring Bjorn Strid that I hope he revisits again with this "At the Movies" thing. Unfortunately the cameo by the cookie monster spoils this version. Great potential though.

Wouldn't It Be Good is a great cover.
Just how it should be done.
Not so different that it deviates too much from the original, but different in many otehr ways.

Nik Kershaw apparently posted about it being an excellent version.

all great. My fav current vocalist

I was just checking out his wikipedia page. I didn't realize he was so prolific. If you're a completist, then you've got a lot of work to do

I did the same a while backa nd from memory much of his stuff was on the thrashy metal side.
So there may only be a limited amount that I'd be interested in.
Just need someone to point it out for me :)

So I listened to so NFO samples.
Not sure I've tried them before. Possibly did and thought they weren't for me.
Very synthy, but not syrupy synthy.
I'll give them a go and see,
Likely I'll weed out a few good songs.

    • It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.
    • Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.
    • Just ordered!   All three Magic Dance EPs (Another World, Kiss Scene and Haunting Me) combined into one CD. All new artwork, lyric booklet and three bonus tracks. Silver-pressed replication CD.     https://magicdance.bandcamp.com/album/magic-dance-the-eps
    • Stumbled upon these guys on the Instagrams. Pretty good mix of Modern Rock and Metal with blazing guitars and heavy double-bass drums, and Pop Punk-style vocals.
    • Well... I just jizzed in my pants.  I'm so glad these guys aren't a one-and-done act. Looking forward to much more music, hopefully.
    • Great album upon first few spins..I mean how good/catchy is the track "Lets Go Rent A Video" especially for those of us who actually remember doing that lol
