We are really proud to present these two fantastic musicians and friends.
Say welcome to Carl Tudén on drums and Johan Gustafsson on guitar.
You might wonder what will happen to Theo. Together we have decided to let him take a step back from his guitar and take the keyboard instead. But no worries, Theo will of course continue to play some guitar in the band.
Right now we have signed a great deal with a label that we believe in and who have faith in Art Nation and our upcoming album. More about that later
We have also some great tour dates to announce to you guys.
Thanks to all of you out there who believe in us and spread our music and name.
Hope to see you on the road, kick some ass together and enjoy world class rock ’n’ roll!
Art Nation is here to stay!

Art Nation 2015
Alexander Strandell- Vocals
Christoffer Borg- Guitars

'Revolution' out August 28th on AOR Heaven.

Pressrelease:

Swedish rock band Art Nation release their highly anticipated debut album "Revolution". Playing concerts throughout the year, while recording the album simultaneously, shows that the band is truly "going all in". Art Nation was formed 2013 in Gothenburg, Sweden, after lead singer Alexander Strandell's departure from his former band Diamond Dawn. Strandell, already well known for his strong voice and energetic stage presence, decided to raise the bar, and gathered some of the best musicians available, bassist Simon Gudmundsson being the first, shortly followed by Theodor Hedström and Christoffer Borg. An acoustic single, "Moving On", was recorded, followed by power ballad "One Is Better Than No One", which also featured a music video and was released in collaboration with humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières), who named the song Official Charity Song of 2014, and all money generated from it was, and still is, donated directly to the organization. "One Is Better Than No One" was also the starting point of the band's collaboration with producer and engineer Jakob Herrmann (Raised Fist, Hardcore Superstar, Engel, etc). Art Nation spent the rest of 2014 playing shows, as well as guesting national TV and radio shows, further building their fan base and reputation. The band got its final line-up when adding second guitarist Johan Gustavsson, together with drummer Carl Tudén, who was recruited just after winning the Swedish Drum Championships. In early 2015, Art Nation signed a deal with German label AOR Heaven for their full-length debut album, titled "Revolution". The record was produced and recorded by Jakob Herrmann at Top Floor Studios, together with Christoffer Borg. "Revolution" consists of 12 songs, one being a completely remade version of their first single "Moving On". It also features the stripped down piano ballad "Look To The Sky", performed in one single take by Strandell and keyboardist Theodor Hedström. The album is mixed and mastered at Hansen Studios in Denmark by renowned mixing engineer Jacob Hansen (Amaranthe, Engel, Volbeat, etc).

Yep.......this upbeat track was right on. I really liked the unplugged "Movin On" track as well. Something about his voice is not "mainstream" which adds to the sound.

    • Maybe it's because I've heard GnR a couple thousand times by now, but I much prefer "Fall to Pieces" by Velvet Revolver over "Sweet Child o Mine" at this point in my life.
    • I'll have to investigate that Durbin. I'd count Striker and Mick Mars among the best metal releases as well now that I think about it.
    • Haven't picked up Saxon yet, but as far as metal goes, I love the new Durbin album as well.
    • I wasn’t thrilled with the singles as they came out, other than “The Serpent and the King”, but I’ll be damned if they haven’t grown on me while listening to them as part of the cohesive package that is “Invincible Shield”. I broke down and picked up the Target exclusive to get the three bonus tracks, and I enjoy them too. Overall, a damn fine addition to the JP discography. Is it better than “Firepower“? I’m not there yet, but time will tell. 🤔 This one and Saxon have set the bar pretty high for metal this year. 👍
    • Agree with this. Though I think you should check out Firepower. You can get it real cheap new everywhere. It is molten. I'm also enjoying Invincible very much and 2024 new music as a whole.
    • I remember my early days on the internet joining a group on Yahoo (yeah thats how long ago it was) and the woman who created the group was trying to persaude me how great Creed was, so much so that she sent me the first two albums on CD. I had no idea what they sounded like. When I played them all I could think is that they sounded like Pearl Jam, and I fucking hate Pearl Jam. I ended up trading them for something better. I can't remember the ins and outs of it, but I somehow shared my CD collection online and she noticed straight away that the Creed CDs were not listed. She asked me why and I said I sold them as really did not like them, and got something I did like. She never spoke to me again after that

    • I have always been an on/off fan of Priest. Loved Ram it down and Painkiller, then kinda lost interest when Rob left. Only newer albums I ever got around to picking up were Angel of retribution because I saw it real cheap and Nostrodamus as I found the deluxe edition cheap as well. With this one though I was interested in what I heard and saw the deluxe edition looked cool. I then saw they were selling copies on the JP website with a signed art card in both standard and deluxe format, but baulked at the price of the deluxe as they were charging an extra £10 over the unsigned version, and postage was lumpy ... plus I was a few days from getting paid. By the time I went back on there the signed deluxe was gone but they had the standard version with the signed card and it was the same price as the unsigned version (guess nobody was buying it) so decided to buy that and order the deluxe from Amazon, keep the artcard and sell the standard CD on eBay as it is still sealed. So yeah, been playing the album today and on my third (or is it fourth) playthrough, and absolutely loving it. When bands like Bon Jovi are  getting soft as shit with age, Rob and the guys are still full on metal gods. At 72, Rob should not be able to still perform like this, but he fucking well is, so more power to him. Really good start to the year so far with the 2024 albums I have picked up.
    • Evidently, Tichy has joined up with Gene Simmons' solo band, and the Daisies replaced him with Tommy Clufetos who'd helped them out before. Be interesting to see how much more there is to the story....
    • Been listening to this one on and off since Friday, and must say I'm VERY impressed. This is easily his best solo release in my opinion, and is much more melodic than his work with Creed. This one might just be this years equivalent to Godsmack for me personally i.e. late 90s musicians going in a more melodic direction and it working quite well!
