I saw the Scorpions at the very first 'Monsters Of Rock', which is still one of the biggest and most memorable gigs I have ever been to. I think they were pushing the 'Animal Magnetism' album at the time. I also saw them on the following 'Blackout' tour, but unfortunately that was the last time. Great live band

The others I haven't seen. Hybrid Ice would be cool, although I very much doubt that will ever happen

The guys in Hybrid Ice were some of the most talented musicians around. I used to see them when 95% of their set was covers (Styx, Queen, Kansas). They would always throw originals in even early on. It's pretty sad... but as they added more originals and lessened the amount of covers the attendance at their shows went down. They were such a GREAT cover band that people actually wanted to see them do covers.

Two Scorpions gigs for me -- first time was in '88 @ Giants Stadium in NJ (on the Van Halen's Monsters of Rock tour) and then again in early '91 at Nassau Coliseum in NY on the CRAZY WORLD tour. Killer shows both times.

The thing I remember most about the first gig was that whenever he talked to the crowd in between songs, Klaus Meine kept referring to us as "New York City" (i.e. "SCREAM FOR ME NEW YORK CITY-Y-Y-Y!") ... eventually I heard somebody yell back "You're in New JERSEY, you stupid f**king Kraut!" :rofl2:

Trixter and Great White opened the Nassau gig and the Scorps pretty much steamrolled over both of 'em. Simply a great, GREAT live band.

Had a chance to see'em on their "Farewell Tour" this past Summer @ the PNC Bank Arts Center but unfortunately life stuff got in the way.

Scorpions were the first band I ever saw back in 1980 on the Animal Magnetism tour with the brilliant Blackfoot as support, I remember getting stuck in traffic and arriving after Blackfoot had started, they were playing "On The Run" as we walked in.

Saw the Scorps also on the Blackout Tour in 1982, got my album and program signed by them the day after at HMV (I think). Missed the Love At First Sting tour (my disco days). Saw them at the Monsters Of Rock festival in 1986, on the Savage Amusement tour in 1988 and Crazy World tour in 1991??. Last time I saw them was 2 or 3 years ago with the legendary Ulrich Roth supporting and Michael Schenker making a very pointless special guest appearence.

Had a chance to see the Scorps this year in Sturgis and in Montana but had other stuff going on at the time so couldn't make it. I doubt they'll come through this way again unless they get bored in a few years.

I would of loved to see Shark Island back in their club days.

I remember back in 1989 Tora Tora, Dangerous Toys and LA Guns were touring together but I was to young to drive at the time and couldn't get anyone to take me to the show. I'm sure it would of been awesome.

Saw Scorpions supported by Winger on the 'Crazy World' tour, I think it was my first rock/metal gig. Great night, lots of classics and a really good show. My overriding memory was at the end of the track 'Crazy World', the band kept the audience singing the chorus for ages; I was standing next to this huge black guy and he was so in to it, singing along enthusiatically at the top of his voice and looking really happy. :drink:

Got to see the Scorpions on 3 different occassions: Love At First Sting, World Wide Live and Monsters Of Rock.

Love At First Sting Victory was one of the openers and I think Waysted was suppossed to be there too, but didn't show. Can't recall who played on the WWL show with them and at the "Hamsters" of Rock show Metallic, Kingdome Come, Dokken, Van Halen.

I remember during the Scorp's set at Monsters, Klaus got hit with a bottle during like the 3rd song. He told Seattle to "Fuck Off" and the band walked off and did not finish their set.

I would LOVE to see myself in Madonna, I mean, see Madonna. Looks like she puts out, I mean, outs on one hell of a show. I would rather see here show in a smaller than dome sized venue however, maybe in a few years she will be doing the casino shows...

    • Not much information on the video's page, other than it appears to be an AI creation. Once it gets into the verse and especially the chorus, it's actually not too bad IMO.
    • While I appreciate your interest in contributing to the site, most of the artists and albums you are submitting are either REALLLLLLY stretching the boundaries, or as in the case of this band, completely off the mark. No alternagrunge. No punk. No death metal/power metal (although those can be submitted to Brutal Metal). You can always start a thread asking about a particular artist before blindly submitting it for inclusion. Thanks! -Dan
