Unfortunately i have to agree 100%...

LOL...you should listen to the rest of the samples....some of those are a lot worse. One best left alone me thinks ;-)

Wow.... really? I've been listening to this one on and off for the last week and am enjoying the hell out of it. Probably one of my top two or three most listened to CDs of 2010 so far. Oh well... different strokes and all that...

There are two very obvious things I'd like to point out about this thread:

1. Everyone who owns this CD and has heard it in full enjoys it.

2. The only negative comments on it are coming from people listening to a few samples.

All I can say is I'm thankful that I was impressed enough with the samples to buy it, because this is an awesome disc. Here's my quick rundown after the first spin:

1. Harder & Faster (On the Edge of Disaster) ; awesome Motley Crue styled riff leads into a great hard rock opener. Simple but catchy chorus that I was singing along with by the time it came around for the third time in the song.

2. Headspin ; Awesome track. Dodgy pre-chorus but killer chorus. This song reminds me of Hansel, but it's better than anything on 'Never say die' bar maybe 'Murder 101'.

3. Got a Feelin' ; Another excellent one! Think Hansel meets Roxxi, Crush or Inside Out. Great mid-90's indie hard rock styled track with a killer chorus. Love this track.

4. Far Too Long ; Super catchy song with a great hook. Reminds me of Bombay Black at their absolute best.

5. Lonely Winter ; nice mid-tempo number. Beautiful verses and a nice, subdued chorus. I can see this one being a long-term fave, growing with each listen. Great song.

6. Things That Bite ; fun gang vocal filled hard rocker that reminds me of Endeverafter. Nice.

7. Give It All ; More huge backing vocals. Pretty basic but I love the pre-chorus and the huge backing vocals pull this over the line for me.

8. Out For Blood ; the obligatory super fast hard rocker. Not a huge fan of these type of songs but this one has a cool riff and nice chorus melodies. Pretty good solo too.

9. Shoot You With My Love ; good solid hard rocker. Nothing new but very well done. Again, reminds me of a tighter, better version of Hansel.

10. Goodbye My Darling ; nice big ballad with a bluesy touch. Good strong chorus.

11. Hungry ; awesome closer. Good uptempo hard rocker which again reminds me of the higher quality mid-90's hard rock indies. Excellent chorus and a great way to end.

And there you have it. Really digging this CD a lot and it should rate high this year. If you love Dirty Penny and Hansel from recent years, and like a good selection of mid-90's hard rock indies, this is essential listening. Thanks a lot of the recommendation guys, this is great. Oh, and for those finding anything "modern" in this... not sure what you're hearing because this is very much 80's/90's style hard rock.

Pretty kick ass hard rock on tap here. "Give It All" and "Got A Feeling were my faves but there doesn't seem to be a bad song here. Nice find!!

Finally listened to the samples... all sound very nice except Far Too Long... man that sounds bad

I like that song. Reminds me a lot of good Bombay Black as I said above, but actually moreso of Endeverafter. Still loving this disc.

Must admit I was pretty impressed with 'Far Too Long' and 'Headspin' and was pretty excited as I headed over to itunes to check out the samples.

Ouch.

This is filled with horrible sounding ....well fillers to these ears.

The only other song which grabbed me was 'Got a Feelin'.

The others all sounded like dodgy b-sides to me.

I'll pass.

Wow what moron wrote that ;-)

Finally got a full listen to this and have to agree that it is v good. The above two songs are still my favs, but it is much better than I expected.

Loveblast have been bugging me to sign em - I think I should re-visit them , especially now they have a RIPPIN guitar player in the band (guitarist from O'dette).

O'dette was one of my biggest surprises at Rocklahoma this year. ANYONE into Melodic Hard Rock would have been impressed I think. A guitar player that just tore the roof off and by God , A REAL SINGER! I'll have to post some video footage...in fact I just need to release a freakin dvd of all the bands from the past 3 years at Rocklahoma (Mariah , Mass , Keel etc...)

On a sour note - THIS was the reason I didn't sign Loveblast..

I hope they have improved since this....

It's been almost a year since they released their debut album and I still listen to it regularly. It was definitely one of 2010's best albums and probably THE best debut album of the year.

Yeah I agree it is a good album and I was way off the mark with my first verdict (never trust samples!).

However in terms of debuts it was no where near White Widdow, Degreed, All I Know or First Signal in my humble opinion :-))
