TNA Wrestling

It has only been the past 6 months or so that I've been able to watch TNA consistently. I have to tell you that I'm a huge fan. They have good wrestlers and a decent storyline. I absolutely love Sting. I would watch even if Sting was the only talented wrestler they had. Jeff Jarrett is awesome and the riff that was created by bringing Mick Foley into TNA has created some interesting storylines. The Main Event Mafia vs The TNA Frontline has been pretty interesting, but kind of became stale lately. It feels as though there aren't enough wrestlers in TNA at this point and we keep ending up with the same matchups. The betrayal of Sting by the Main Event Mafia on the last episode was epic. Sting took them all on and ended up losing. It's a shame I won't be able to continue watching. I hope my cousin can Tivo it for me. I can only imagine how Sting gets them back.

I believe in TNA and I know it can only get better from here. As they add wrestlers to both the mens and womens rosters they will be able to create better storylines. We'll also get better and more varied matchups. It's just refreshing to see wrestling the way it should be done. I had long ago given up on wrestling when Vince McMahon bought out his competition. WWE is still playing up the shock value and lame storyline that everyone hates the McMahons and wants to take them out. That crap got old 10 years ago and they're still doing it. Seriously, how many times can the McMahons be taken out and keep coming back?

Anyway, that's my thoughts. What are yours?

Wow another TNA Fan... COOL!!!! I been a fan for the past couple years, and it's pretty good stuff.. Sure they get alot of talent the WWE don't want anymore, but they use them right... Although I am still a lil bit confused over Samoa Joe joining the MEM after They broke His arm and He took like 3 of em out, but..

Good storylines, and I do like the 6 sided ring.....

Just so I'm clear, we're not talking Tits N' Ass wrestling here, are we? If so, where's the link?

I pretty much fast forward through the shows (when I remember to DVR them) because I absolutely can't stand Don West and Mike Tenay. (Although, I FF through the WWE shows too because, save the occasional wisecrack from Jerry Lawler, their announcers are just as worthless.)

I can't complain about the in-ring action (what I see, anyway). I'm not convinced they're any better at the storylines than the WWE. Just as illogical, in a different way. TBH, if it weren't for Velvet Sky, I don't know that I'd even feel compelled to tape the shows and FF through them. lol

In all honesty, I'm just not that much into wrestling anymore. I keep up (because I watch the WWE PPVs monthly) by following online/FF through shows. But, much of the "magic" is gone. It's as much out of habit as anything.

I don't know why im always the odd man out on shit? while I watched TNA the other day, I thought to myself, "I miss ECW so much it hurts" the real ECW, not the Eazy Cock Wrestling Mcmahon trampled shit infested waste of air time that comes on now, my biggest gripe with the Wrestling Federations for the last 10 years has been, Im tired of watching these old unexciting fucks from the 80's! Nash, Sting, Hogan, Finley, Jarrett, etc. etc. etc. you know, for a time, when the ECW and WWE clashed, and RVD, and Dreamer, and the greatest "Fuck You" wrestler ever, The Sandman, along with the rest of ECW talent, wrestled on Raw, It was exciting again! then the ECW Pay Per View! I thought it was to good to be true! while WWE is a production factory for 6"10in steroid bound, no-personality, no mat technique, having actors! TNA turns around and becomes the senior citizen home for Wrestling! the only great product IMO that TNA has produced is AJ Styles! and outside of that, im just not feeling any of them, I wonder if CZW is still around?

I loved the older ECW too with RVD, Lance Storm(what happened to him????), Sandman, New Jack(he was the shit), Taz(he was a God in ECW and then just an announcer in WWE and I loved in ECW how he came out to Kiss' 'War Machine'), Shane "The Franchise" Douglas(one of my favs of all time). Of course I could go on with Raven, Dean Malenko, Eddie Gurrero, Jericho and many others that passed through ECW enroute to WCW or WWF/WWE but all most of these guys were not only able to entertain the crowds but they also brought the mat wrestling to a whole other level compared to the other promotions.

I also forgot to mention how awesome the Dudley's used to be and how that had many more people in the "family" back then.

TNA started out great, these days its just WWE lite.

A bunch of old farts who should have given up years ago are taking air time away from the genuine talent.

TNA was initially built around the X-Division, with even Styles saying that the X-Division title meant more to him than the TNA title, but these days its treated as poorly as WWEs cruiserweight title was, towards the end of its life.

I so badly wanted TNA to be a good rival for WWE, but these days its just copying old WWE and WCW storylines that were shit in the first place, and aping all the worst aspects of modern WWE.

With the amount of tv hours WWE has vs TNA, you will actually see more decent matches on WWE these days.

Hell, I have seen episodes of TNA where they have only two matches, and both of them sucked.

WWE may be a shadow of its former self, but I'd rather watch the real deal than watch something that is little more than a pale imitation. (and funnily enough, I know a lot of people who were huge TNA boosters for years, and even they cant stand it anymore, including some actual wrestlers).

Ring Of Honor is insane! way to hard to watch though! I agree with, I had a lot of hope for TNA in the begining, Remember when Sandman and Raven battled in the madhouse match?

Have to say over the past few years I have loved and hated both the WWE and TNA. They both lack true Superstars and wrestling in general lost a lot when Lesnar, Stone Cold, The Rock and most importantly Goldberg retired. It's only worth watching for AJ these days but I gave up when they didn't give him anything to do i.e. was Angle's little boy.

I have jumped ship over to the UFC and fkn love it. I do plan on checking out the next PPV for both to see if anything's changed but both were getting too stale for me.

And Brock doesnt have any viable competition in the UFC, or the WEC, or Strikeforce! the toughest man in the worlds contract expires after this Saturdays Affliction PPV, Dana White better crawl on both knees if thats what it takes, to get a PPV between Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko! Lesnar wont know what the fuck hit him, but it would no doubt be the biggest PPV, MMA has ever seen!

I watched TNA for the first time in about a year. It was entertaining, but I must admit I have no idea what is going on. The last thing I remember is the Main Event Mafia betraying Sting. Now Sting and Kevin Nash are friends again? There also appears to be a gay wrestler. That's just what everybody wants to see . It's amazing how much can change in a year.

There also appears to be a gay wrestler.

Nothing new or unusual about that.

There has always been gay wrestlers or wrestlers who are not gay, but portray gay or ambiguously gay characters.

Pat Paterson, Chris Kanyon and Brooklyn Brawler all spring to mind as actual homosexuals, while there has always been characters like Gorgeous George (the original male one, not the female), Goldust, Rico and Billy n Chuck who have been blatantly portrayed as gay.

As for people not wanting to see that, well the popularity of some of those characters over the years would suggest that there most certainly is a market for it, even if it doesnt appeal to everyone.

Lets face it, there are still a lot of fans who feel that nobody wants to see women wrestling.

I will admit though that the Orlando Jordan thing is tasteless in its execution, but thats no surprise as thats exactly what I have come to expect from TNA these days.

Just look at the angle with Samoa Joe going round holding knives to peoples throats etc.

I haven't watched weekly wrestling regularly for some time now, but actually watched for the first time last Thursday night.

I kept reading raves that TNA's Best of 5 tag team series between the Motor City Machine Guns and Beer Money had been spectacular so far, so I watched. What I saw was a match that was exciting, innovating, full of the proper psychology (in terms of today's wrestling world, anyway), and intense. And it was everything that most tag team matches used to be. Vince has bastardized tag team wrestling so horribly in the past 3-5, if not 10 years, that it seems like the Rockers/Rougeaus was a century ago.

I've got to say, beyond that match, other than a little T'n'A from the girls of TNA, there wasn't much else I was impressed with besides the tag match, but it was enough to get me to tune in this Thursday night for match 5 in the series. (Plus, this Thursday night's Impact is supposedly going to be the original PPV matches that were going to be on last night before they decided to do One Night Stand, vol. 3. Should be some pretty good ones; whether they're done well remains to be seen.)

I basically quit watching wrestling while it was still the WWF. I just recently started to watch an episode of TNA. I gotta tell you, my wrestling juices came back..

TNA bought out almost every wrestler from the old ECW (SABU,DREAMER,THE DUDLEYS,RVD, and a few others). It seamed like they had some type of alliance against some other team. As the lights went out, the ECW boys were getting battered by another team (Forgot their name).

Well done Jarret!!

WWE?

Sorry!

I can't watch it! Why is there a former Reality star (Of THE REAL WORLD) on there?

SHAMUS?

Looks like he fell out of a box of Lucky Charms..

UNDERTAKER?

Shit got old 10 years ago...

BRET HART?

At one time the greatest wrestler bar none..

Not anymore...

The lady wrestlers, managers, and valets?

Just make a porno already, maybe I would at least crank it without being cock-blocked by a steriod freak..
