Do they have Taco Bell in Oz bud? I don't think they have it over here unless there's one in London or sumfink!

We did have it here for about 3 or 4 years around 1998 - 2002, I'd guess. Best years of my life. Then they removed the whole chain (along with my heart, soul and will to live) out of Australia.

From Wikipedia (HAHA!!! I was damn close!):

Australia

Taco Bell first opened stores in Australia in the early 1980s under the name 'Taco Amigo' because the trademark rights for 'Taco Bell' were already used by another company (Similar to the Burger King situation which led to Australian stores being named Hungry Jacks) the venture failed and stores closed down shortly afterwards.

Taco Bell returned to Australia in late 1998, this time under Taco Bell branding, and opened a handful of stores in Sydney, many of which were multi-store restaurants formally standalone KFC or Pizza Hut locations. The venture only had moderate success, and eventually some standalone Taco Bell restaurants were 'split' to offer KFC as well. The Taco Bell dog was used in commercials with promotions such as 99 cent tacos used to encourage customers to try the chain. However, Sydneysiders never really warmed to the concept of Mexican fast food and Taco Bell closed its last outlet in December 2003. Former Taco Bell sites were rebranded as KFC or Pizza Hut.

It breaks my heart to think that some of you guys are forced to live in countries where there are no Taco Bells. :crying:

Trust me, mate, there is no heart more broken over this than mine. The fact that they teased us for 4 magical years and then stripped it away from us is the hardest part. If I'd never experienced it I'd just be blissfully oblivious. F*CK YOU WHOEVER MADE THIS HAPPEN!!!

Yeah, that's the thing with people. They'll flounder over all that same crap, but something amazing, unique and truly earth shattering comes along and it fails, because of people. Motherf*ckers.

    • Yeah, sad news. Even though she was a quiet achiever in that group with Stevie getting most of the attention, she sings Lead on two of my favourite "Fleetwood Mac" tracks. "Little Lies" is a Killer. R.I.P.
    • For me, "Run-D.M.C." in '88 on their "Tougher Than Leather" tour when I was 16. A bit left field, but I loved these guys in my early teens. They weren't afraid to embrace Hard Rock guitars in their music.
    • I was there too mate. You can't beat the atmosphere of a concert "in the round". I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
    • Keep a lid on it
    • This one looks like a fun ride....
    • I keep sticking with the band but my initial thoughts are that this is basically hookless. I sure hope this was just released as the first single cause it is loud and fast and isn't considered the best song on the upcoming album.
    • GENERATION LANDSLIDE (Cold Sweat / Lillian Axe members) – Ruling The Street Scene (2022) online sources · NOVEMBER 28, 2022     Comprising former members of both Cold Sweat and Lillian Axe, Las Vegas’ hard rockers GENERATION LANDSLIDE release their debut album ”Ruling The Street Scene”. Fronted by Anthony White, formerly of Cold Sweat and Cold Gin, GENERATION LANDSLIDE is a whirlwind of ’80s and early ’90s-influenced American-style melodic hard rock, complete with big hooks, singalong choruses and a feel-good vibe that continues throughout the entire ”Ruling The Street Scene”. Produced by White, the album kicks off with the ferocious ‘Little Miss Lonely’, then ‘Feel the Sensation’ follows with heavy gang vocals telling the story of finishing your day job and feeling the anticipation of going wild from seeing your favourite band in concert that night from a spiritual way. ‘Love and Pain’ relates the ups and downs in every relationship and the emptiness of being alone and ‘Are You Out There?’ is a tribute to the late Thin Lizzy bassist Phil Lynott.
