Ladies and gentlemen , 2 big announcements...

1) Ron Keel is now the Vice President of Retrospect Records and will be taking over promoting and marketing for R.R. After signing my 200th band yesterday , I feel I have no option but to allow a long-time pro handle that side of the biz. It's just too much for me to handle. I'll allow him to announce a full press release shortly.

2) I just inked a deal with an amazing company that will now be silver-pressing EVERY RETROSPECT RELEASE. NO MINIMUM REQUIRED. That's right - NO MINIMUM ORDER. That means I will delve back into the many already oop Retrospect re-issues and re-releasing them once again as SILVER discs. Now before you all get excited I haven't actually held one of their products in my hands yet but judging from the pics , it's exactly what I , and some of you, are looking for. Once I actually see a pressed disc from this particular company I will let you all know my opinion and proceed from there.

Some great news indeed!

Maybe NOW Retrospect Records will be taken seriously and recognized as a driving force in today's music industry...

Three big announcements! Ron Keel coming onboard, all cd's being silver pressed (if all goes well) and reissuing some oop Retrospect albums. Congrats!

Say Hi to Ron for me. ;)

And I swear to God I'm not being sarcastic here, but is there any chance of Ron's "Ronnie Lee Keel" country material being re-released? Cuz my wife's a country music fan and I think she'd get a kick out of that stuff (especially if I followed it up by playing Keel's THE RIGHT TO ROCK and saying "believe it or not, that's the same guy!" hahaha)

Wow this is great news.

Will there be a chance that the Keel and Steeler catalog will be released on Retrospect now?

Hey thanks for the response guys. After my dad died last month it really put a lot of things in perspective for me about what I wanted to do with the company. (And thanks to everyone who sent their regards during that difficult time - I appreciate it).

Anyhoo , I'll try to answer some of your questions....

Fat_Freddy , I will sell you my copy of Ronnie Lee Keel's country cd!!

Heaven_&_Hell - The Steeler back catalog no , but we will definitely see the release of TWO Keel dvd's (one Live in Japan and one with all the videos on it). Also the re-release of Keel self-titled and The Final Frontier. And another Keel unreleased album. AND the new Keel/Shortino album.

Retrospect has just released a Ron Keel 2 cd set with a bunch of previously unreleased Steeler , Ron Keel and IronHorse tracks - check out the website for that release. 30 Songs!!!

Upcoming releases....I will post on a new thread

Hey Sam,

Any chance of Ron's band The Rat'lers cd being re-released?

I dunno about that - the country thang isn't too appealing - LOL.

I agree, leave the country stuff alone and concentrate on what retrospect does....RAWK!! Great news for ya man, happy for you and the company, congrats

Got the "silver" discs in today. Ain't happy. Damn shame.

That sucks. What's the story?

They aren't silver. The company advertises the cd's as being silver-pressed clones. Well they aren't any better than the company I am doing biz with now. Now personally , I like the way my newer releases have been looking and they will get better and better but the search will still be on for a company that can do REAL silver-pressed clones at a reasonable cost.

Bummer.

    • The EP is the other singles they have released this year plus Heartbeats and a couple of remixes.
    • Jeez this dude seemed to be releasing music once a fortnight not too long ago, but it's been some space between, ay?  This is actually a surprisingly good, big catchy melodic rocker. Didn't expect it - nice stuff.
    • And in the most unsurprising news ever, it's awesome. Love it completely.  And is it mentioned elsewhere that this coincides with the release of a new EP called 'Hope?' https://lebrock.bandcamp.com/album/hope?from=fanpub_nfb
    • Album out March 31. From Lions Pride Music: Stellar Veil is a melodic hard rock band hailing from Athens, Greece. Formed in 2021 by members departing from the Melodic Hard Rock band Hideaway, the group sought to carve a niche that melded the heavier elements of hard rock with the melodic finesse of classic AOR. Their sound is described as heavier than traditional AOR yet more melodic than classic metal (Melodic Hard & Heavy), reflecting a unique blend of influences from the 80s hard rock and heavy metal era with a contemporary twist. Stellar Veil’s music captures the nostalgic essence of 80s hard rock and heavy metal, yet it is infused with a modern approach. Their compositions are characterized by soaring vocals, melodic guitar riffs, and dynamic keyboard arrangements, balanced with a heavier rock attitude. The band aims to offer listeners a blend of the old and new, bridging the gap between the timeless appeal of classic rock and the fresh sounds of contemporary hard rock. With their distinctive blend of melodic and hard-hitting sounds, Stellar Veil is carving out a unique identity in the world of hard rock. Their music is a testament to their passion for rock and their commitment to evolving as artists, making them a band to watch in the coming years. Stellar Veil is: Jon Soti: Vocals  Dimitris Paloudis: Guitars John Kontos: Bass Peter Papadimatos: Keys Harris Freeman: Drums Track list: 1. Safely Chained 2. To Mend A Broken Heart 3. • Cool interview with their lead singer, John Cooper. Bit of a surprise to see this one come up today. I enjoy Zuby's content and have been a subscriber of his channel since around 2020 in my efforts to comfort myself in the fact that I wasn't the only one in the world being completely twilight zoned by covid. But I've found him to be a level-headed, logical dude and apart from being a massive christian (like all the rest of them, lol), I find sense in a lot of what he says.  And I found out along the way that this dude from Skillet (apart, again, from being a massive christian, lol), is like-minded and actually a real stand up dude.  Funny how musically speaking, I'd take Skid Row's music ten days and fifteen back around over Skillet's, but as a human being, I have zero respect for Bach and all the respect in the world for this dude. Anyway, interesting interview and it even touches on Skillet's music more than I thought it would. As for the new album, it's Skillet, again. 100% up and down, just, Skillet.
    • New song 'Ricochet'. From Pride & Joy Music: "Ricochet" is the first single from Mikael Erlandsson's (Autumn's Child) solo album "The Second 1" which will be released world-wide (excl. Japan) on January 24th, 2025 via Pride & Joy Music! Mikael Erlandsson has spanned a long career in the music business and today is a household name when it comes to quality Melodic Rock. Erlandsson was the frontman of the super group Secret Service for 12 years singing their smash hits ”Oh Susie” and ”10 o’clock Postman“ in packed arenas all over the world. The world class singer also released albums with Phenomena, Radioactive, Sapphire Eyes, Heartbreak Radio, Salute, Love Under Cover amongst others but is best known for his work with his own bands ”Last Autumns Dream” (14 albums) and ”Autumn’s Child” (5 albums so far). Autumn’s Child will return with a new release in 2026. Additionally to this, Erlandsson also appeared at the Eurovision Song Contest finals for Sweden, Poland, Denmark and Latvia. The Swedish artist has had a successful solo career as well, which started started with his smash debut album ”The 1”in 1994 that sold enormous copies over the world. Erlandsson to this day released 6 solo albums and now returns with a new one entitled ”The Second 1”. The title is of course aspiring to the fact that it is exactly 30 years since his first soloalbum ”The 1”. Therefore the Swede recorded the real follow-up to his first solo album in the same feel of ”The 1” capturing his own unique style of songwriting. This time, he teamed up with producer Mats M.P. Persson (Roxette) for the mixing & mastering – just as it was for his solo debut 30 years ago! Keyboards & all vocals - Mikael Erlandsson Guitars - Rasmus Ehrnborn & Mikael Erlandsson  Drums - Richard Johnsson Bass - Mats Mp Persson & Martin Olsson
