Sam, don't be silly. I had nothing to do with it. You well know that he got in contact with you because you started selling bootlegs of the No Frills album.

You're fucking amazing.........

David can you ever tell the truth?

He got in contact with me because YOU emailed him telling him Retrospect was selling bootleg copies of 'No Frills' , that was a lie , because the copies of No Frills I was selling came from an Italian company.

Well thanks for that because I had talked to Gary a year ago about officially releasing the "No Frills" on cd and this just helped accelerate the official re-release date.

You lost Manila Thrills , you lost Axtion , you lost Tainted Angel and now you can chalk up Reckless as another loss to Retrospect.

You really need a life David. Concentrate on your own label for a change and stop creating ebay names trying to bid on my auctions.

Everyone is finding out what kind of person you are....and I'm about to put the nail in the coffin....

Hey Sam,

Unlike most here I could never say enough good about you. I have to thank this site for making such a big deal out of this. It lead me right to your auctions and I personally could care less if there Original/CDRs/ Boots whatever. I dont know why some spend so much time worring about whether its original or authorized release by band. I feel if the band cared they would have kept it alive themselves. I see you doing them a great favor. Are they making money from it? Would they be either way? If they not trying to sell themselves(no Money) So what the hells the difference whether someone else is. People PleasE!!!!!!!!!! Dont give me that shit about them lossing money or it wasnt authorized as I could care less. Id buy it anyway along with lots of others. Alot shit talked on here and I guarentee all those have boughten Unauthorized releases and new it. Keep up the good work Sam as I find you the BEST SELLER of RARE Bands on EBAY and very very good prices.

Mass "New Birth" - 1985

Wow, I've had this on LP since '85, thank you for putting it out on CD!! I'll be ordering this one

thanks Richie , Blue and hardrock80s , it's guys like you that are the reason I bought Retrospect. I have never claimed to be a saint and still have a lot to learn about the so-called 'business' side of the music industry , but everyone must learn one simple thing about me , the bands will ALWAYS get what they are due.

Did you know that labels like Black Lotus and Massacre only pay 1 Euro per cd sold to their artists?

How do you feel about that?

I just think it's highway robbery.

Maybe I'll start a new poll.

I heard that Black Lotus closed up shop a few months ago... hey 80sMetalCollector, maybe Retrospect can go after Crimson Glory! They were supposed to re-issue their catalog via Black Lotus but since that company has now gone under, I'm assuming they're free agents. Just a thought? :)

With all the Retrospect releases out there, ever think of opening up an Ebay store of only Retrospect cd's on Ebay, sorta like Metal Mayhem. I bet you many more people go straight to Ebay when looking for cheaply priced cd's, before going to the band websites or to the label websites.

This is SUCH great news Rick!!! You know that I have always loved this band and have been waiting for a proper release. Awesome Awesome Awesome. Can't wait. I hope it has some of the unreleased cuts that Gary had talked about too.......

Not sure if anyone remembers, but I distinctively remember suggesting that someone reissue this album (Reckless - No Frills) on these very message boards about 2 years ago...stating that Atlantic would prob let the rights to this cassette and Vinyl only release go for pennies. Either way, the material on this album speaks for itself, cuz it KICKS MAJOR ASS!!!

One person that I always have a lot of time for is Brian (The Ripper)!! He knows more about this kind of music that anyone I've ever come across. Rip, you need to be posting more often mate!!

Keep the great comments coming.

P.S. I really hope Sam does a good job of this Reckless album!! He has been known to fuck a few discs up in the past!! Good luck!

Everybody knows how you feel about Sam, and all you do is come across as a whining, pathetic child everytime you throw mud like this. You've mentioned in the past that Sam is your competition, so that's why you say the things you do. Wouldn't it be better to actually release a few discs to compete with Sam instead of the crap you constantly spew?

Then again, maybe it actually benefits Sam when you act this way. I mean, why in the hell would any band want to release their stuff with you if they know how childlike you actually are?

Anyway, I'm sure I speak for many people on this message board when I say, GROW UP AND SHUT THE FUCK UP!

:agree: It seems like your taking more and more shots at Sam and RR lately. You should worry about your own label. Sure I wish more of RR's release were silver pressed, but your even slamming him about those. Hell, I think RR actually has more silver pressed releases than your label. Enough of the childish behavior.

I second that...David, I have no idea what your problem is but you have made one thing clear to me...I will NEVER purchase any cd's from you. Quit whining & go sign somebody before Sam signs everyone and you are left with your dick in your hand..

    • From FB today: Thank you Dragan! All of us at Cassidy Paris would like to say a massive thank you to the very talented Dragan Stanic (Roxus) for playing a big role in the making of the Cassidy Paris sophomore album! We feel very grateful and fortunate to have worked hard alongside Dragan to make the upcoming record our favourite work yet!   I wonder if Paul Laine will be involved again at any point. I know the songs he co-wrote were actually older songs that had been released before, but from what he said prior to the last album, he still has a hand in writing stuff with her. I must admit that despite not being overly blown away with her debut initially, after a month or so of listening to it after it came out it became one of my fave albums of 2023. She was also great live and incredibly nice to meet in person. Very down to Earth.
    • Gotthard is one of my favourite bands but I must say I'm really disappointed in this song. Too basic and never goes anywhere. Did they try to recreate Lift U Up?    That ultrasound heartbeat going on in the background almost makes it unlistenable.
    • Will look forward to the album
    • New song 'Til I Die' from the forthcoming album 'Soulbound' out February 28th through Frontiers. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming release of legendary rock vocalist Robin McAuley's new solo album, "Soulbound". This new album sees McAuley's voice continuing to defy time and sounding as inspired and powerful as ever. The new album is definitively more guitars driven compared to the previous albums and the music itself is more straight hard rock than his previous effort, but still wonderfully melodic, infectious, and fist-in-the-air uplifting. McAuley's continues to showcase the desire of the respected Irish rock singer to make a strong musical statement in a period that was more creative than ever for him. After reemerging on the recording side of the music industry with guest spots on Michael Schenker Fest albums and tours and fronting the hard rock supergroup Black Swan, McAuley was (and still is) feeling invigorated and ready to explore even more creative output to let the world see that his voice was (and, again, still is) as powerful as ever. Work for "Soulbound" began on early 2024, following an intense musical period in between tour dates and studio work, with a slightly different approach compared to the previous album and Robin’s vocal performance on this album is simply oustanding. "Soulbound" delivers the more hard and heavy aspects of this respected artist, truly an iconic voice of the genre! Robin's backing band include some of the previous artists appeared with him on the previous effort, including guitarist Andrea Seveso, together with some new talent “a such as guitarist Alessandro Mammola and drummer Alfonso Mocerino. The album is produced by Aldo Lonobile. Robin McAuley is widely recognized as one of the great singers of a golden period in hard rock music. His voice can be heard on albums from Grand Prix and Far Corporation, and of course on the chart topping MSG records “Perfect Timing,” “Save Yourself,” and “MSG”. Through these releases, he was introduced to hard rock fans around the globe, who no doubt recognized the inherent talent and skill in his vocal abilities. Once he departed MSG, he released one solo record in 1999, then joined AOR legends Survivor, and then re-grouped with Schenker in Michael Schenker Fest on their recent records "Resurrection" and "Revelation". And of course, in what was an absolute revelation to hard rock fans around the world, in 2020, he came out swingin' as the frontman of the supergroup Black Swan, where he joined forces with Reb Beach (Whitesnake, Winger), Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, ex-Dokken), and Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr Big). "Soulbound" Track List: 1. ‘Til I Die 2. Soulbound 3. The Best of Me 4. Crazy 5. Let It Go 6. Wonders of the World 7. One Good Reason 8. Bloody Bruised and Beautiful 9. Paradise 10. Born To Die 11. There Was A Man 12. Crazy (Alternative Mix) Bonus Track Japan Band Members: Robin McAuley - Vocals Andrea Seveso, Alessandro Mammola - Guitars Aldo Lonobile - Bass/additional guitars Alfonso Mocerino - Drums
    • All great choices. For me missing Cats In Space which I thought was a big return to form.
    • Tops for me this year is likely set as I don't see anything coming out that would change it. 1)  Kissin' Dynamite - Back With A Bang 2)  Eclipse - Megalomanium II 3)  Maverick - Silver Tongue 4)  New Roses - Attracked to Danger 5)  Collateral - Should've Known Better Honorable mention to Sebastian Bach, Judas Priest, Nestor, Daughtry (EP), Lansdowne (EP) as those would be next in some order. Really though, the top 3 above were a tier above the rest for me.  Loved Kissin' Dynamite.  Maybe not quite as strong as their last release overall but still excellent.  Eclipse kind of surprised me a little only because I didn't care much for Megalomanium I at all and didn't have high expectations for part II.  However, for me it's excellent with some well written, catchy songs.  And kudos to Maverick also as for me, Silver Tongue might be my favorite release of theirs.   On to 2025.  Looking forward to Crazy Lixx, Midnite City, Shiraz Lane, maybe Def Leppard....not sure what else.
    • I'll save my recently designated go to Christmas song for Christmas eve. In the meantime, this is as Christmas as Metal gets, or as Metal as Christmas gets... one or the other.
