  1. Finally! Not his best song by any means, but a solid track. I'm pretty sure this was one of the tunes originally mentioned as being part of this album that's been shelved for awhile. Not sure if he updated the lyrics but it's interesting to see how it relates a little to some of what went on in 2020.
  2. Not bad, will be interesting to see if they stick with it and put out a full album

Glad you are doing better. Hopefully you'll be able to return home soon.
  4. I enjoyed the debut and this one makes a few slight improvements as the production seems a little better and vocals stand out more. First track was just ok for me, but after that I thought the rest of the songs were all pretty good.
  5. This was a pleasant surprise as I had found their last two albums a bit disappointing. As others have mentioned, similar weak production as those last two, but a little more guitar oriented this time around. Of their more recent albums Worlds Collide is still my go to choice, but this new one is definitely worth checking out.
  6. nice, these guys have a knack for putting together mash-ups that work and this track is no exception, glad to see them back with some new material
  7. gave this a spin today and thought it was a good album, if you're a fan of AOR and haven't checked it out yet, I recommend giving it a listen

glad to hear the symptoms have been minimal and I hope you and your family members all recover quickly
  9. New track is just OK for me. Maybe it's the lyrics, but the chorus just didn't grab me at all
  10. Yeah, that sounds pretty good, especially 'Hours' as Geoff mentioned, thanks for sharing
  11. Agreed, I prefer the debut, but the new album is enjoyable as well
  12. Wow, that is quite a surprise. I enjoy Kenny's vocals and the band's first two albums, but Erik seemed to fit better with the band's slight style change. It'll be interesting to see what direction the guys take with their next album and what Erik does moving forward.

  14. Good tune, I was starting to think these guys had called it quits, glad I was wrong
  15. Their last album Apex was pretty good. I've heard a few songs from the new release, of which "Legacy" and the title track stood out the most. I haven't gotten around to listening to the full album yet, but looking forward to checking it out.
  16. I agree, this is a step up from the debut to me as well. The Survivor comparisons that were mentioned is a good description of what's on display here. A bit safe at times, but between the great vocals and strong songwriting it should appeal to most fans of traditional AOR/Melodic Rock. My initial favorites are "What About Love", "Better Walk Alone", and "Give A Little Lovin".
  17. welcome back, glad you are doing alright
  18. I enjoyed this album as well. I've thought most of their prior releases were pretty good but after two spins this is probably my favorite from the band. The lyrics might not appeal to everyone. Kind of a horror/fantasy comic book theme running throughout. But I found it to work well with the overall sound and it made for a really cool vibe throughout. I picked up the same Crue influence on "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow". My initial favorites are "Tokyo Lights" and "Last of An Undying Kind" but even the tracks that didn't entirely grab me (Nostalgia and Mr. Grouch) had segments that I liked. I can see this one making my top 10 for the year.
  19. Sad news, one of my favorite drummers in the 80's. He seemed like a genuinely good guy who had a lot of passion about music and his fans. And seemed to have kept his usual positive outlook despite the diagnosis last year. R.I.P. Frankie, you'll be missed.
  20. I think teams use the lateral pass less often in the NFL for two reasons. First, they want the ball in the hands of their best players and would prefer everyone else be utilized as a blocker, to keep the other team away from that player. And secondly, because of the risk of fumbling/dropping the ball and turning it over to the opposing team.
  21. yeah, I thought the same about the lack of info being reported on the accident, especially with the injuries he sustained from it apparently being what eventually led to his death, I had looked to a few other online stories and none of them touched on it, odd
  22. Pete Way, bass player and founding member of the bands UFO and Waysted passed away yesterday at age 69 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-8629307/UFO-bass-player-Pete-Way-died-aged-69-suffering-life-threatening-injuries.html
