In my top 5 from that year and 2nd favorite from the band, behind Pull

agreed, liked some of their earlier stuff but this one didn't do much for me

I love Rob's vocals, and Vivian is a very versatile player, but outside of a few solid tracks on the debut nothing from their prior efforts really stuck with me. This new track isn't bad, but it isn't something I'd come back to much.

From what I read the band members (of Santa Cruz) are fans of River Phoenix and wanted to point to River's legacy living on even after his passing. They then drew a bit of a parallel to them being away for awhile and coming back strong. The title inititally gives a different impression, but that is my understanding. Anyway, as far as the song, not bad

Gave this one a few listens tonight based on the high praise it had gotten. The band captures the late 70's rock sound really well. I think I might have even heard some Pablo Cruise in there. It is a good album, with no filler to be found and will likely make my top 20 for the year. I'm just not feeling it quite as much as you guys.

A few songs off the latest album from this female fronted, modern, melodic metal band.

Looks like the list is almost cut in half, so odds are getting better, how about Enuff Z'Nuff? Did you have the opportunity to see them on one of their first tours?

Not bad, I think they'd be a lot better if they lost the alternate, screamo vocals and just left it with the primary vocalist

I haven't heard their latest release, but have listened to their prior couple albums. Those were all decent, with a couple of solid tracks on each. Well played and well produced. I consider most of their songs to be melodic metal. So a heavier style musically compared to the Phantom 5 album. They use several guest vocalists and musicians on each record. I believe Claus is only on that one track.

I liked their first two albums and "What If...", but unfortunately this track off the upcoming release isn't doing much for me

That is sad to hear, he had a distinctive voice and seemed to be a very down to earth and genuinely nice person. Another talented artist gone too soon. My heart goes out to his family.

I have heard some of their songs over the years and was always impressed with the guitarists, but never bought any of their albums. These tunes sound pretty good and if they have a little more variation in the tempo and style now, then I might check out this new album.

Thanks for sharing, it is interesting hearing his versions of those songs after First Signals, I enjoyed the songs and look forward to checking out more of his work

I don't believe the band ever made an official video for Shy Boy, at least that I recall. I think that number 9 thumbnail for the video that is no longer available on youtube was a fan made video not an official video and Warner probably had it taken down for copyright purposes. I hope that helps with your question. If my recollection about Shy Boy having an official video is wrong, someone else might be able to help confirm things.

Here a few tracks off the new album, Film Noir, from this modern alt rock band. I find their choruses to be rather catchy.

Not sure how many people have heard of the female fronted hard rock band Beg Borrow & Steal formed by x-Preview drummer Ed Bettinelli and produced by Sir Arthur Payson. The album was recorded in the early '90's after the band was signed by RCA. There were some promo tapes issued, so there have been a few tracks floating around, but to my knowledge next weeks release will be the first time the whole album will be seeing an official release. I have two songs from those promo tapes below.
