  1. I thought there EP from last year had a decent track or two but overall wasn't very memorable. I do like Simon Daniels, so I'll give this one a shot. But being a longtime fan of the band I'd be much more interested if Steve Plunkett was still involved.
  2. Both of the new tracks (Speed and Sticky Fingers) sound good to me. I am looking forward to this release as well
  3. Thanks for sharing, I had not heard of them before. Interesting stuff, the couple tracks I listened to weren't bad.
  4. I saw a few different videos on youtube of the perfomance. JThorley's comments were spot on. From what I've seen they did three songs (I'm a Believer, Innocent Days, and I'll See You In My Dreams) and sounded pretty good. But outside of singing backup vocals on Innocent Days, Dann focused his attention on playing his lead guitar parts and honoring his friend.
  5. I always find these attempts to redo a prior release a waste of time, whether it be with a new singer or same singer. If it was a couple of bonus tracks on a new release fine otherwise spend the time and effort on an album that blows people away and tops the first three. In my opinion, the last few releases without Michael weren't as strong as those earlier albums.
  6. Nice tune, although I prefer their more rocking tracks. They infuse catchy melodies into most of their songs and Beautiful Life is a good example of that
  7. I really liked Shakedown, but it seemed like they buried the guitar in the mix, hopefully the 2nd single will have a little more bite to it
  8. I still think it is very cool that Dann, David and Mike will be getting back together to play Giant songs, even if it is only for the one show. Dann has commented that he wasn't comfortable being a front man, between that, all the time that has passed and the lack of rehearsal time before the show, it doesn't surprise me they would ask someone to step behind the mic. Who knows, in the moment, he might sing a verse or two.
  9. Another good tune from these guys, they rarely disappoint
  10. From the band's official site http://www.hellintheclub.com/?p=725 Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming studio release by Hell In The Club - SEE YOU ON THE DARK SIDE The album will be out on September 15, 2017! SEE YOU ON THE DARK SIDE is available for pre-order now! If you’d like to support us directly you can get it on our SHOP with a FREE signed poster! "The album sounds great, our best production with our most ambitious arrangements to date, but still with a rough and kickin’ edge which has been our trademark since the beginning. As usual we’ve been melting all our inspirations and what we like in music and made a unique blend – pure 100% Hell in the Club – in these 11 tracks that contain a lot of different shades, melodies, power, heavy riffs, big choirs, sweet tunes and also a full swing/jazz orchestra this time!” TRACKLISTING: 1. We Are On Fire 2. The Phantom Punch 3. Little Toy Soldier 4. I Wanna Swing Like Peter Parker 5. Houston, We’ve Got No Money 6. A Melody, A Memory 7. Showtime 8. The Misfit 9. Withered In Venice 10. Bite Of The Tongue 11. A Crowded Room Check out the first song and video, “We Are On Fire”
  11. I wasn't expecting much with the mention of the current Tigertailz front man, having been extemely let down by their last album, but the samples for this side project of his sound good
  12. I know he formed a blues/rock band with Kenny Aronoff called Supersonic Blues Machine a few years ago.
  13. The Upside Down is a pretty good song, but I would have enjoyed it more without the screaming. I'm liking this track a bit more simply because they eliminated that aspect.
  14. Sounds pretty cool, that opening riff sounds similar to Dokken's Breaking the Chains
  15. It looks like this one is finally getting an official reissue http://www.pavementmusic.com/product/joker-cool-deal/
  16. Solid album, glad to see it get a reissue to make it affordable for those who are looking to add it to their collection
  17. I thought their EP was really good, hopefully the fact they made an official video is an indication that they are working on a full album
  18. First track from the upcoming debut album from Josh Todd and Stevie D's side project. Has a heavier, almost punk rock feel to it. Probably closer in style to Todd's old band Slamhound than Buckcherry.
  19. I think they are one of the better modern, thrash metal bands
