  1. I recall seeing them opening for Rob Zombie and Ozzy about 10 years ago, they weren't bad, but this song doesn't hit the spot for me.
  2. I recall these guys, but I passed on it back in the 80's after hearing a song or two. After listening to some of that I can recall why. Not horrible by any means, but not something I'd listen to much.
  3. I never checked out his solo album, that is a nice tune. I think that's Todd still on the backing vocals at the 3:00 mark, but it does sound like Gary.
  4. I agree with Geoff about HS having retained some of the elements that turned some people off in the past. Despite us all enjoying similar styles of music and even many of the same artists our tastes will generally differ when it comes to individual songs and albums. A good example of that is the recent thread about "perfect" songs. There are some songs from that topic I love and some that wouldn't even land in my top 10 from the respective bands. I think United is really good and it is in my top 5 for 2017, so far. But to put that in perspective, I would probably rank it as #5 or #6 out of all their albums, for me. If you enjoyed some of their releases since Voice of Reason then this one should be worth adding to your collection , but if you only got into their debut and/or Mood Swings you will probably only find some of the tracks on United to your liking.
  5. Thank you, very much appreciated. It seemed like Amazon was either already out of stock or their distribution was delayed again.
  6. Does anyone know if this was released yet on cd, outside of the copies being shipped to the pledge backers?
  7. This is song off the latest album from The Greg Billings Band and features Brian Johnson. Greg was the lead singer of Stranger and still records and performs around Florida. It might not appeal to everyone, but figured a few people might enjoy it.
  8. Kix - Blow My Fuse Europe - Prisoners In Paradise Tigertailz - Young and Crazy EZ Livin' - After the Fire Crazy Lixx - Ruff Justice Dare - Out of the Silence
  9. I always like stumbling across lesser known bands. These guys don't have a record deal from what I understand, but have a unique sound and I think they show some potential
  10. These guys are a fairly new band from California. They played a smaller club in my area just a few months ago. I think they have pretty cool old school metal sound to them. I'm posting one of their videos from their last album along with a track from their new album. I hope you'll give them a listen
  11. This band has been around for quite awhile and has changed their sound over the years, from goth metal to alt metal. Their latest single has a more modern rock sound to it so I thought I'd post it to this section of the forum. I enjoyed it and thought some of you might as well.
  12. White Lion - Mane Attraction Zac Brown Band - The Foundation Action - S/T Ziggy Marley - S/T Megadeth - So Far, So Good...So What!
  13. I was thinking of buying it this weekend along with the new Harem Scarem. I would think Andrew's site Melodic Rock Records would have it. But I know for sure I saw NEH Records had both HS and Arti Tisi available, they were listed in their new arrivals section. It looked to me that the Arti Tisi was listed as 3 separate titles rather than 1 set with 3 discs.
  14. Metal Church - Blessing in Disguise Lee Aaron - Some Girls Do Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood Within Temptation - The Silent Force Southgang - Group Therapy Sixx: A.M. - Prayers for the Damned
  15. They sound pretty good. Vocalist reminds me of Mike Howe from Metal Church.
  16. These guys sound promising. They were founded by two members from the band Gamma Ray.
  17. Happy Birthday Geoff, I hope it was a good one
  18. Not on the same level of their early stuff with Martin, but not bad
  19. I'll say Candy Harlots, despite them being from Australia, I am thinking you are young enough that they may have broken up before you'd have had the chance to catch them performing live
  20. Hmm, good to hear his voice again, hard to tell much from a short snippet like that, but it has me thinking this is going to be more on the pop rock side, not saying that is a bad thing, but I was hoping the album might be more in the melodic hard rock vein of the first two H.E.A.T. records, I'll still keep my hopes up though
  21. I was unaware they recorded a follow up, buried treasures indeed, I enjoyed Blind Faith and the samples for this one sound good
  22. Interesting question, a good video will definitely enhance my thoughts on the song. Your example of Thriller by Michael Jackson did make me realize that some videos over the years made such an impression on me that I ended up giving the song or artist more of a chance than I may otherwise have before seeing the video. A more recent example of that for me was when I watched the video for Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim, with Christopher Walken in it. I would probably never have given that song a second listen had I simply heard it on the radio but since I liked the video and watched it a couple of times the song ended up growing on me a little.
