  1. This practice is recommended and encouraged at all hours of the day and night.
  2. Yes indeed who would have thought he would make it? I don't see the appeal and quite frankly there are thousands of superior actors making frapachinos.
  3. Sure now there will be after the loss in Nashville to knot up the series 2 to 2.
  4. I would recommend starting with the Murderdolls album Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls and then probably Wednesday 13's Transylvania 90210: Songs of Death, Dying and the Dead. To me, the earlier stuff has more of a glam, punk sound but keeps the Alice Cooper influenced, horror lyrical themes. Kind of like the Misfits crossed with Too Fast for Love era Motley Crue. Yes. Good recommendations for sure that MD disc, especially the re-iss with the bonus tracks is a very cool disc.
  5. Being the movie geek and horror genre appreciator that you are be on the look out for DG2.
  6. Music collectors are a varied bunch, and their collecting preferences depend on their tastes, their wallets, and their level of O.C.D. Some guys will buy any thing a particular musician plays/sings on, or anything recorded at a certain studio, during a particular year, or everything a certain label puts out. And then there are the vinyl collectors/audiophiles, who are on a whole 'nother level. Visit any forum dedicated to vinyl collecting and you'll see dudes who have purchased 20 different pressings of the same record, looking for the best "sounding" version. ("Which is the best copy of the self titled Catz Ass debut? Is it the Guatemalan vinyl with the green label or the Ecuadorian second press with the white label?") ... we're all insane! Hahah, I love insanity! I'm driven by the hunt and my pocket book. I never buy new or direct from a label. Its all about the scrounge at the pawn shop, book store, yard sale and I will buy most everything if the price is right and it looks cool! Now I will go direct to a band I like and get a newer release from them.

  8. And Pitt sweeps the first 2 at home but go to Nashville and lose. Series is 2 to 1 in favor of Pitt. I think Pitt will win in 5, but hey I have been wrong before and a game 7 shoot out could be inevitable.
  9. Captain Fantastic Not bad, like a less obsessive Mosquito Coast and if your man enough Viggo's manhood in all its splendor.
  10. Tasty. Thanks for sharing. All the tracks were quite listenable and enjoyable.
  11. My preference is for the indie release. I would rather buy directly from the band. I think a lot of good bands are getting swallowed up in the Frontiers vortex never to be heard from again. I also don't see a lot of push for any of the Frontier releases..? Unless of course it is a name artist or has a named member. As for reviews, I get slagged regularly for being optimistic and positive with my words (one of the reasons I won't review for another site anymore), but I actively search out bands and music "I like" hence a positive review. I see no point in bagging on a band 1) just to do it and 2) if it isn't anything you would like in the first place (which again lends itself to another site that has lost my following and deserves nothing but bad juju).
  12. I'm not a hating it but it is not anywhere near as cool as that Murderdolls record or the first few W13 releases. Of the 3 vid's the first 2 are complete throw away's, however vid 3 has a few pleasurable moments that touch on earlier/better stuff.
  13. Meh. Seems a lot bit contrived and more of an advert for the store. At least Bach was knowledgeable about pressings and such the others as mentioned...
  14. Deathgasm OMG this was a tasty albeit campy as hell throw back to the good ole days of Demon and Pete Jackson's Dead Alive plus its all about a metal head. I know we spoke of it before but its finally at my library and on Hoopla so I watched it on the bus.
  15. The studio stuff is sounding good. Obviously some more takes and affects on the voice help. I also see a couple more solo albums Kory released that I will have to look into as well. Yeah, but the recent studio stuff is more punk sounding, which fits his current gravelly vocal style. Whenever he tries to sing any of the old shit, tho...yikes. Yea I know, which bums me out as the first fist full of WS records are quintessential. Hell even half of Chill Pill is great.
  16. LOL, so true. Have you ever tried to find the elusive "cabin air filter"??? No I haven'tWhy would the cabin need an air filter? Our 2001 Highlander and come to think of it the 1999 Passat before that had them. Apparently it "filters" the air that you suck into the cabin for heating and cooling. Of course it can create a light and/or an error code if it is gummed up as all those magical air hoses under the hood are all connected pushing air about. I suspect it is another way to get you to the shop and spend another $30 buck on a filter.

  18. Well the Pens pull off a game 1 win!

  20. I am a pretty staunch supporter of WS but I missed this one. I did spin it on Spotify (and later the posted Youtube Videos) and fair warning Kory's voice is blown and the recording is a bit dirty. Shame for KC as he had some pipes back in the day. I recon this is a must for an die hard completest (like me) but this one will NOT appeal to everyone...
  21. I don't know again I recon my glass is half full but the musicianship and such are fine. Been a bit since I broke out the disc and spun it, but based on a quick Google I am glad I found one.
  22. 11-22-63 Nicely done and quite intriguing time travelling tale by Steve King. James Franco really does a fine job. It's basically an episodal mini series so you will have to invest like 12 hours...
  23. From what I read the band members (of Santa Cruz) are fans of River Phoenix and wanted to point to River's legacy living on even after his passing. They then drew a bit of a parallel to them being away for awhile and coming back strong. The title inititally gives a different impression, but that is my understanding. Anyway, as far as the song, not bad Thanks for the insight. Spun it again and still like it.
  24. Starting at 44:19 they plug Loud N Clear and then state that all songs were written by them. Then they list all the song titles...
