  1. Okay, so there's been a lot of nonsense talk about this disc, but not much just about what's on offer. Of the songs on this disc, which is your favourite and which is your least favourite? Interested in this poll to see if 'Eyes of a panther' rates high amongst people keen to see them sound like everyone else ( ) as I guess that's the most obviously "normal" song, and a kick-ass track at that. I actually haven't voted because it's hard being familiar with some of the songs already. Granted, I only had the Metal Shop songs a month before this disc, but I played it to death and was therefore already well familiar with 'Fat Girl', 'Stripper Girl', 'Hells on Fire' and also 'Death to all but metal' from the Metal Sludge compilation (thanks to Jay and Howdy for the great hook-ups) which are arguably the best songs off this disc. But I don't know how to compare them with new faves 'Community Property' and 'Asian Hooker'. So for now I'll wait. Anyway, least favourite song off the album for me is 'The Shocker'. I like everything on this CD but if I had to pick a least fave that'd be it. So what's yours?

and "Karma Cleansing" There's a track variance on the two, isn't there? If I recall correctly 'Believe' delivers harder. If i recall correctly your mum delivers harder. Delivers harder and tougher sons than most others? Yeah, I guess you're right. All three of us could beat you in a fight blindfolded and decapitated and amputated. Fight me.
  4. Nick is a good builder. I remember when he built that bridge to my heart.
  5. Damn. Oh well, I still love it. Just read the comments on the main part of the site and it looks like I'm the only one who really digs this one. I still maintain it was easily the best CD or 2004 (or did Blind Date sneak in that year?) and it's an all-time fave of mine. Just so many stunning songs. Oh well, to each their own I guess. Here's my list in order: 1. Shadows Fade - s/t 2. The Storm - s/t 3. The Storm - 'Eye of the storm' 4. The VU - 'Phoenix Rising' 5. Two Fires - Ignition 6. Two Fires - s/t 7/8. Kevin Chalfant - his 2 solo discs And I haven't heard the rest.

Not bad mate. Sounds like a mix of, as you say Work of Art and someone like Eclipse. Sounds pretty good, but tone it down a litte, mate. Not sure why you're that excited! To be honest, 'Story of my life' wouldn't make it onto my Ipod let alone list of best songs of 2009 and I have a bad feeling this CD would just be another release amongst the pack this year. but I'll give 'em a go when it's released. Nice find mate.
  7. Looks more like something from early Lee Aaron. Yeah, I was even thinking Doro or something. Just definitely NOT Fiona.
  8. HAHA!!! That is f*cking awesome. I didn't know who this girl was but I flicked over to 'Two and a half men' last night and I saw one of the most stunning females I have ever seen in my life. A bit of research and I find out it's Megan Fox, who I believe is the girl from these 'Transformers':
  9. Yeah, been wondering what's happening, Ian. Keep us abreast, mate. As the guys say above, hope it's a good thing.
  10. Fuck, it's cold. May have to have a fucking beer!! Nah, seriously it's not too bad. I had to laugh last night though. I was watching a bit of Wimbeldon and they were saying it's a really hot day today, it's 75 degrees Fahrenheit. So I whip out my phone to convert to proper temperature (which I thought you guys had over there - you measure temperature in celsius, don't you? Please, for the love of jeebers christ tell me you do) and it turns out it was just under 24 degrees Celsius (23.88C). lol. You poor bastards. That's not far off the average midday temperature here all through our winter.
  11. I think Rick might be right... the site scored a mention in Rolling Stone?
  12. 2000 version? If so is it the best CD you've ever heard? or 1996 version? If so, not good at all, is it?
  13. Hinder - 'Extreme Behaviour' ; no wonder this year seems so weak compared to this one. Quietdrive - 'Deliverance'
  14. Nice work mate. Keep the party alive!
  15. Religion is okay, people suck. Sorry mate, I think religion is a horrible thing, without exception. But yeah, both religious and non-religious people do suck. drugs suck Yeah but they're easily avoided. Sadly people are everywhere.
  16. Now I must go and check out Shadows Fade, don't think I've heard anything from them. Ignore Geoff. Shadows Fade is under-produced drivel. Some good tunes, but a hopeless production and (considering the strength of the vocalist) the vocals are so down in the muddy mix you can barely hear them. lol... very agreeable with you. Well, there you go Justin. Two people's opinions you never need to bother with again. Seriously, though, this CD is amazing imho.
  17. Religion is okay, people suck. Sorry mate, I think religion is a horrible thing, without exception. But yeah, both religious and non-religious people do suck.
  18. hh What about the fact that they may have been born there. There are Muslims in your country born and bred. So you go back a generation and get rid of the parents if they're still inflicting this sort of nonsense on themselves and their children. Seriously, I have no issue with foreigners (I'd be silly if I did as both my parents are Dutch) because I know that if not for a wise move from my parents I wouldn't be able to call Australia home. But my parents are both Australian citizens (well, mum's tried and got fucked around twice so she gave up, but she is at heart and Dad is officially) and they live their lives as "normal" happy Australians. Dad still knows enough Dutch to talk to his brother on the phone and when he visits but other than that they've been happy to fully embrace Australia... not that there's much negativity they could have brought from Holland anyway, I'm sure. But the problem is not having religious people or people of different races in your country - it's when these chumps can't appreciate that people don't like the shit they do in their own country where it's the norm... and when they cannot appreciate the laws and ways of life of that country they've chosen to live in. If the 'leaders' and the people of that country do not want this shit in their country then they can always move to plenty of countries which will allow that shit.
  19. Now I must go and check out Shadows Fade, don't think I've heard anything from them. Oh man, you will love that one. Let me know if you need me to help you out with, uh, samples.
  20. You really should've started with "Arrivals & Departures" I reckon, a lot easier to get into (this one is a complex concept album) plus there's more screaming. But on the plus side, if he likes this one that much he has a better album to look forward to. To be honest, I like the new one but I prefer 'Discovering the waterfront' as well as 'Arrivals and Departures'. I don't know what it is about the new one (maybe the concept?) but I usually play Silverstein albums to death and I do like this one a lot... but I don't find myself reaching for it much at all. Still love these guys, though. Sanction X - 'The Last Day'
  21. Just got this one spinning at the moment, featuring Robby Bobel on guitars, from Frontline. And the guitar style is 100% Frontline. I can't actually find a myspace page for these guys, but I believe there is a video clip here. To be honest, songs aren't amazing so far but it's not bad... quite similar to the last few heavier Frontline CDs. Band: Ebby Paduch - Vocals, Robby Böbel – Guitars, (ex-Frontline) Roberto D’Amico – Bass, Ben Eifert – Keyboards, Peter Langer - Drums Songs: 1. THE CALLING, 2. WHEN FIRE WILL TOUCH THE NIGHT, 3. DEMON’S DANCE, 4. EYES OF A STRANGER, 5. ALONE AGAIN, 6. FEELINGS CAME TO ME, 7. REASON WHY WE WERE BORN, 8. THE EYES, 9. THE LAST DAY, 10. ETERNAL LIGHT, 11. FLY AWAY
  22. Nah, don't get me wrong mate. I like this just fine and although you're right, I do prefer A Day To Remember, trust me, there's not a big margin there by any means. I actually think that ADTR just have a few really MASSIVE melodic choruses whereas all KE choruses are meodic, but no real huge homeruns. If that makes sense. Both bands are good - seriously enjoy both... but in modern rock it's not the style I go for first. FYI, just finished my 3rd spin in a row. 'Starting Over' and 'The returns' are my faves, but not a trace of a filler on this one. Solid stuff... just a little unspectacular, imo.
