  1. Nice research. The prices on the 'LFDR' videos are f*cking amazing.
  2. Because he called that bunch of tiring schoolgirls time-wasters? Come on man, not even you guys are that big a bunch of pussies! But as I said in my rant thread, if you design a fucked up set of rules like those who govern test cricket have done, I can't hold it against a bunch of English ponces for making those retarded rules work in their favour.
  3. Looks nice, mate. Real schmick. As for getting the best value on an old car, the best way is obviously private sale, but not a guarantee either.
  4. Alien - s/t (1989) ; classic Alien - 'Shiftin' gear' Alien - s/t (1993) ; I don't know whether to keep this in my collection or not. I was sure it was a no, the only truly terrible songs are the last 3. Hard decision coming up. Alien - 'Crash' ; and same with this too. Borderline.
  5. Budgie's don't sing, do they? Don't they just chirp?
  6. Welcome, and party nude.
  7. I just ranted about the fucking Ashes in a new thread. But on a more personal note, this day's been a true motherfucker.

    My Ashes Rant

As people know here, I'm not much of a cricket devotee. I watch what I can when I can, but I am not a follower and certainly don't claim to know a lot about the sport and it's cast. But, I found out we're actually getting The Ashes on free-to-air TV here in Australia on SBS, so I've been watching what I can. I was quite happy to see the Aussies absolutely fucking hammer the Brits in the first 4 days of the first test. Four centuries in one innings was really quite a treat, scoring a total of 674 runs. So Australia then declare having only lost 6 wickets, at 239 runs in front. I then witness the Brits get dismantled again in their batting attempts. They make 221 more runs for a total of 656 for their 2 innings. BUT, at the end of play yesterday the game is called a draw. Now, call me a fucking fuckrat, but what the fuck is the meaning of this shit? This is a professionally run and "organised" event that has a result like this? "Civilized" men actually came together and decided on something so fucking obviously flawed? Don't get me wrong - I'm not here to critisize the Brits for time-wasting or whatever - if you have such a fucked up game at your mercy, why not do all you can to expose it's weakness for your benefit? What I want to know, is how does something like this shit keep going? How can a team so vastly superior in every manner have to settle for a fucking draw? When in one single innings they got more runs than both of England's (albiet one incomplete) innings? Does common fucking sense have no place in this set-up? Is it not plain as fucked up day obvious that England were outplayed and deserved to be 1-0 down? Would I be ranting like this if the roles were reversed? Probably not, but I'd be thinking the same in my head and not cause conflict if I saw a Brit point this out. I think this is a fucking shameful way to run such a highly regarded sporting event. I just despise shit that does not make sense. End rant. Fuck The Ashes.
  9. Mate, I could list hundreds of better German rock CDs but this whole topic has turned into a joke. To say anything Fair Warning did is on par with the likes of Casanova's debut, Bonfire's 'Point Blank' or 'Fireworks', Sargent Fury's 'Still want more', Victory's 'Temples of Gold' or Frontline's 'Almost unreleased' is nothing short of comical and offensive to good artists. If it was a weaker nation you were speaking of I'd be completely unphased, but f*ck me... you're talking about, arguably, the second most prolific hard rock nation on the planet (possibly only behind the US?) and Fair Warning are just an insignificant pile of shit in that amazing reputation. And by the way, Transit are Swiss. There are already enough German bands that slaughter Fair Warning. No need to bring other nations into it too. I'm not joking, though. In the German MHR field, I would have no doubt saying that there are far more better bands than Fair Warning than there are worse. At the absoutely BEST they'd be somewhere in the lower middle of the entire pack. Goddamn I hate your love for such a mediocre band when you're so harsh on "hair metal"... which all in all kills this kind of dreary shit!
  10. Ha! What nonsense. So now an average band with average songs and plain lyrics is a proper band and an excellent band with killer songs and humerous lyrics is not proper? Not my maths, but if it works for you... Oh well, it's not a crime to be comfortable with mediocrity, I guess. I think with this CD I'm where Matt and Ali are at. From the samples I thought this'd be something special but the end result is really nothing that special at all. Not even a top tenner, imo.
  11. Maybe I'm tone deaf but I love the opening track. It's just an agressive ass kicking tune. What's wrong with that? Nothing wrong with an aggressive ass-kicking tune at all... as long as it doesn't plain and simply suck. Like this one does.
  12. Since when is a budgie not a bird?
  13. I remember at the time of these I was really hopeful of seeing them, but yeah, I never saw any details on the release of either film. Obviously if Wes has seen one it was released, but as for 'A letter from death row', I doubt it ever got a release.

    Steel Panther

    I wish I was there.
  15. Toads are just frogs.
  16. Only heard this once so far, but yeah, gotta agree. This sounds really good. I like it.
  17. Yeah, I can't say that either effected me even remotely. To answer your question; Obviously the fact that Cobain was sucide means there's no sympathy there, so MJ by default.
  18. It always puzzled me why the ones that seem to want to participate in discussion don't try out the message board as opposed to trying to get a discussion (usually argument) going on those brief comments pages.

Yeah, Tim, don't get too excited. Like Chris says, these guys suck. They always manage to bring one or two good songs to their suck-filled CDs. I do have to admit, though, this is more uptempo than anything else they've ever done and is already even better than their previous best track of all, 'It only hurts'. So maybe they've decided not to suck? I'll await the new disc to find out.
  20. Okay, I'm going to have to say it. I like it, but I don't love it. Bands that put such blatant fillers at track 1 - so bad you have to skip them, even first spin - get off on the wrong foot with me. Granted, most of the rest of this CD is pretty good. There's a few fillers, a few average tracks... but overall it's pretty good. Looking forward to more spins, but the album opener is the kind of shit some 80's bands used to put on the end of their CDs to round them up with a filler and I didn't like that. Putting it at track one is a sin.
  21. That was my first instinct too. But as Tim says, hopefully it's just the sound quality of the samples and the real thing has a lot more bite and kicks our asses. Ted definitely sounds good on it, though. I must admit I was hoping it'd be at least as heavy as 'The return of the great guildersleeves' though. But yeah, looks like they might have gone all the way back to their debut roots. Lucky for them, their first 3 albums (inc. 'Cockroach') are excellent, so can't really go wrong there.
  22. Man you get some good shit. I've wanted to hear that Hall of Fame one for ages. You pick all this stuff up from ebay?
  23. HAHA! Another old one! Hope you had a super naked birthday!!
  24. For me, 'Go' is by far and away their best CD. Still patchy as all hell (but we are talking Fair Warning here), but 'Angels in heaven' and 'Save me' stand out so far above any other song/s they ever recorded it's not funny. Even 'Somewhere' is probably their 3rd best song. The debut and 'Rainmaker' are fine - no highlights on either, they both plod along... but both are solid. Their style is the type that wears thin easily, and I think 'Go' was a good attempt at delaying the inevitable, and that was completely sucking... which they did for the rest of their releases.
