  1. So I'll have another go at kickstarting this. From what I can find May 17 Black Label Society – Sonic Brew – 20th Anniversary Blend 5.99 – 5.19 HAAS – Love & Loss EP Paul Gilbert – Behold Electric Guitar May 24 Soto - Origami May 31 Duff McKagan – Tenderness June 7 Axel Rudi Pell – XXX Anniversary Live June 14 ZZ Top – Goin’ 50 June 21 Def Leppard – Def Leppard – Volume Two The Hollywood Vampires – Rise Also when Pat Torpey died, apparently Eric Martin later came out and said he wanted to do one more Mr. Big record with a few of Pat's favorite drummers on it. Could be a cool release
  2. What a fantastic song! I need to get back to this album. I recall when it came out thinking that it was better than most JSS stuff on first listen. But this song would easily be on a 2019 mix for me.
  3. Orville just renewed for season 3 Also just released the artwork for Star Trek Picard which i think starts in a few months.
  4. I like 'em both and both have toured in the last 3 years but I've been away for both of them. I'll be there
  5. I get to see a couple of bands I've yet to see. Last time Buckcherry came out I was overseas. Only issue is Silverback Touring who with Corabi and Pop Evil only had them play short sets or around 14 songs (around 1 hr 20 mins) Both of those times they had 4 bands on the night, which is pretty stupid. Hopefully with only 3 sets will be a little longer, although for me, dump the support, I'm not paying to see them... http://silverbacktouring.com.au/buckcherry-2019/ October dates
  6. Yeah I ended up doing that because I was putting it off every week As for downloading, I have Foxtel, Netflix and Stan, but still have shows that I need to see before spoilers. last couple of weeks I was overseas and had to get access to Game Of Thrones. Canada is possibly like Australia where it is really hard to keep up to date with US TV shows as they are released. most of the time they are a season or more behind on free to air and even subscriptions. the networks lack of desire to allow these shows to air in real time is the biggest motivator for downloading TV series. Some shows they manage to do it with, GOT, Walking Dead, Survivor etc but we're in a modern society here. my preference for quality and ease is to set my box to record and then watch when I am ready to, not wait for weeks or years to stay up to date.
  7. I'm a fair ST fan. I've watched both seasons of ST Discovery and I have to say it's hard work. It's not what the series was about. They have gone far to technical and far too many story arcs. Another big thing all other series did was wrap the story up every episode of two. With Discovery you need to watch it constantly to know what the hell is going on. Even then it's hard. New ep comes out and I have to force myself to watch it. Then there's the timeline stuff. All sorted out with a "let's keep all this a secret" lol But they have fucked the timeline before. Again they decide to screw with the way Klingons look etc In the end, it's just all too technical and hard to make sense of. Will be interesting to see what the new Picard ST is like. In the meantime.... WATCH THE ORVILLE. More than a great replacement for any Star Trek
  8. haha, weird A bit of fun, not really my thing on many fronts, but fun for a watch.
  9. I am frothing this album. Love so much about it, from the harmonies to the fills, hooks, vibe, variance between songs. Will easily be in my top 5. will have to check out their other albums. like you track 2 is the worst for me, but after repeared listens it is growing on me a bit...
  10. Posting to remind me to look at this when I get home. I'n in China and pretty much everything is banned. Facebook, Google, YouTube, etc.
  11. Interest facor zero in any ACDC tour. Never seen them live, and I'm ok with that. Interest factor less than zero in any new music.
  12. We flew from Melbourne In the middle of nowhere in China at the momenT, visiting factories sourcing new suppliers. Every single person stares at us. Many get their phone out and take pics/video Had one guy ask yesterday "what are you doing here?" I said "shopping" He said "how did you get here?" I said "aeroplane, then taxi" He looked very confused lol My very very limited mandaring words are also useless here as it's a different dialect and they don't understand me at all. Google translate is a saviour Back to Shanghai tomorrow for a few days then off to Yiwu - the world's larget marketplace - for a few days. Looking forward to watching Game Of Thrones from today before I see spoilers
  13. Just got off a 10 hour flight to Shanghai. Watched The Hurricaine Heist. went in expecting utter crap but it was actually a reasonable movie. May have been huge if released in the 90's but shit has changed since then. Tried watching Ralph Wrecks The Internet because I saw some shorts and it looked pretty funny, but after 10 minutes I canned it as just a kids movie. The First Man? The Neil Armstrong movie. exactly what i expected, and after an hour I started skipping until I saw the somewhat underwhelming ending. It was done in the quiet, artsy way. Give me Apollo 13 any day...
  14. Avengers Endgame. For me it was a great movie. Worthy follow up to the last. Lots of comedy in it, lots of more emotional stuff as well. Really liked what seems to be coming in the future (won't give any spoilers)
  15. Seeing Avengers in a couple of hours Saw Muriels Wedding last night, which hasn't help up all that well. Also saw Under Seige 2 which was actually pretty good. Been a long time since I've seen it and I guess you lump it in the 'average sequels' pile but it was better than that. After that Rock Star came on so I watched that as well. Soundtrack was better than I remembered. Fun movie, easy to watch.
  16. Paul is the better vocalist but Ted is the voice of Danger Danger
  17. Hi Doug I don't really listen to any of the bands you listed. But the latest Cats In Space is great
  18. So I got this album. Never done Cats In Space before, so I was a virgin going in. Love this album, very catchy.
  19. New genre of music to me. Thunder In The Night is a cross between rock/disco/ABBA/Love Boat theme Cats In Space is a cross between hard rock/Electric Boys/Kiss/with a bit of a Bowie vibe mixed in Either way I liked them both. I'm happy to get this album. Worse case scenario is that it's only an OK album, but there's a chance I'll really dig it after a few listens
  20. Ironically a small shop opened at my local shopping centre called Twisted Sista I took a pic (not the one above) and sent it to Dee when it opened a couple of years ago but he never replied.
  21. Holy Diver on the car ad. out of place and never a huge fan of the band or the song. Growing up I was fortunate enough to hear my music make it to the radio non stop. I remember when You Give Love went big and I already knew every word. Same with Motley, Poison, Extreme, etc Obviously not so much these days.
  22. The House. Wasn't aware of this one until it came on TV. Funny as fuck. Will Ferrell at his best.
