  1. I even grew to like the disco song from Narnia. I did a bit of research last night, but was unable to find why the second singer left after a year. On their site they ahve a bio, but no lineup changed are mentioned. I did find a clip where the intruduced the new (current) guy. He did Two Fifty Nine, and I have to say I think I prefer he version of it. That said, it went for 3:01 so that ruined the whole song...He sounds great though.
  2. Not that theere's anything wrong with that
  3. Bon Jovi are up there with Five Finger Death Punch and Black Veil Bride as bands people love to hate. I don't hate Bon Jovi. I don't dig what they are doing now, but I think people have short memories. If you can honestly say that youw were never a fan, then cool, but when Slippery came out, it was a game changer. it was, and is, great music, and they deserve to be recognised as much as Kiss are for inspiring a whole breed of other bands.
  4. Well I was referring to the Xmas album singer as being a great replacement. Had no idea there was a new one after him. haven't heard him yet, but at least some who have seem to think he's great.
  5. Holy crap, this band reminds me so much of Revolution Saints. Vocals are very samey. I think both singers are very generic and the music is fairly generic as well. If I ever try them out, I'll likely find a few good songs I guess.
  6. Here on HH they only have the one album listed Ride Your Life 2009 I also see this album around for 2013 - I presume a re-release? I saw at Rateyourmusic they maybe have anotehr album - Trailerpark Show 2012? Weird that in todays internet world it's so hard to get info on a band.
  7. Saw people ripping on him on Amazon not knowing the singer had changed, but I think he's about as good a replacement as you're gonna get.
  8. I don't know this band, when i opened the thread I was thinking of Toxic Rose. Is this different to earlier stuff? I really dig it. This is my jam, this style.
  9. Just saw this thread. He sounds like Marc Storace at times. Sounds great.
  10. I get the monotone in Born To Be My baby, but I'm ok with it. Wanted DOA I always loved and still do
  11. I'm with you on these Headed For A Heartbreak- Winger (so boring!) Dude Looks Like A Lady - Aerosmith (awful!)..Rag Doll was even worse Mr. Roboto - Styx (I still can’t forgive Dennis for that mess) Silent Lucidity- Queensryche (I saw them live and they ended the concert with this one...talk about not leaving the show on a high) I could add a lot of ACDC, and then pretty much EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. ACDC close song. God Of Thunder took me like 20 years to start to like But I could add most of the Creatures In The Night album as not being my cup of tea. Anything from Judas Priest except for Livin After Midnight, Turbo Lover and You've Got Another Thing Comin' Fly High Michelle never did it for me. Sex Action, Rip And Tear by LA Guns Most Maiden stuff after Seventh Son. Looked up their average setlist for 2017 last night and was shocked at the songs on it taht I didn't know. most of them I'd tried to get in to but couldn't
  12. Sounds like Electrik to me, but i don't know the song. Shazam didn't know it eitehr
  13. Kiss are all good, Maiden, Scorpions, Tesla 5 Man..... I think that would be about it for me.
  14. Yeah, if I'm gonna do a live album, may as well be watching it as well, kinda adds to the performance to see it rather than just hear it.
  15. Me too, I'd say he did it with good intentions, to make America better and sort out issues he saw. A patriot of sorts. But good intentions don't mean you are a good leader. Not saying he is a bad leader, or even an average one. Nobody knows what kind of leader he really has been as evertyone has been blinded by the public ridicule, media lynching and eventual hatred. I still have a feeling he will get back in. And I have a feeling that we are all in for another 4 years of havig to listen to people constantly desperate to try and get him out. I hope he doesn't get back in, just so I don't have to hear about him. And maybe we'd get another Celebrity Apprentice season. I liked that show.
  16. Was listening to what I picked from the first 3 releases today and forgot how good some of it s. Anyone given this EP a go?
  17. Had a few spins of this now. I'm finding it fairly generic and, um boring. Only a couple of stand out tracks Farewell To Yesterday No Matter Will give it a few more listens, but bit of a fizzer for me.
  18. Maybe he did it for the laffs
  19. Sad fact is that true visionary leaders and popular leaders are generally mutually exclusive. Personally I like a strong leader, who is prepared to make tough decisions for the greater good. Not much of that around these days...
  20. So it's a song... From Braveowrlds http://bravewords.com/news/sixx-a-m-presents-artists-for-recovery-maybe-it-s-time-video-features-ivan-moody-corey-taylor-joe-elliott-and-more?fbclid=IwAR1q4idf_gsviRaHfK0CSTYrYRjqQOcGd85_gRAi8iPK9kDsSkkZLen8GAs Sixx:A.M. Presents: Artists For Recovery release “Maybe It’s Time” (featuring. Corey Taylor, Joe Elliott, Brantley Gilbert, Ivan Moody, Slash, Awolnation, Tommy Vext). The song is the cornerstone of an industry-wide initiative to draw attention to the opioid crisis and raise funds to serve the recovery community and save lives. Timed to launch National Recovery Month in September, this campaign leverages all manners of entertainment to send an important message of hope for recovery, starting on International Overdose Awareness Day 8/31 and continuing through International Recovery Day 9/30. The idea for the song, featuring a who’s who line up of rock, country and alternative stars, was conceived by Nikki Sixx, co-founder of Mötley Crüe and Sixx:A.M., recovery spokesperson and advocate, and one of the leading public figures fighting to destigmatize substance use disorders and recovery. All artist royalties from the song are being donated to The Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation (GRI) to support those in early recovery, with a matching contribution from Better Noise Music. Says Sixx: “I am proud to bring together these artists to help raise funds for the Global Recovery Initiative Foundation. The opioid epidemic did not go away when the pandemic came along. Just the opposite... those in early recovery became even more at risk than before so it's more important now than ever to raise awareness and support them. I really believe that united we can make a difference and save lives.” Major entertainment industry companies including Live Nation, Ticketmaster, iHeart, Pandora, SiriusXM, Entercom and many others have come together on this project to raise awareness and save lives. Allen Kovac, CEO of Better Noise Entertainment explains, “Label and studio heads know there is nothing sadder than when an artist or actor you’ve worked with passes away due to substance use disorders. This initiative is a wakeup call to the entertainment industry that we can’t lose more legends like Prince, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tom Petty and Michael Jackson.” “So, Nikki rang me to see if I’d lend a vocal to ‘Maybe It’s Time’. After hearing the track for the first time in a while, I was reminded how good it is so I was in! It felt right, all around, giving back to the much-needed Global Recovery Initiative,” explains Joe Elliott of Def Leppard.
