  1. Some of those remind me of Catch Me I'm Falling (Extended) - Real Life
  2. Come Said The Boy made have made a small dent overseas. My fav was Cool World
  3. Depends which street you walk down I guess. And what age group you ask. But that comment deviates from my point, so let me rephrase it "But walk down the street and ask random people if they know Quiet Riot, and if they do, ask them to name a QR song and 19 out of 20 will spit out a covered song, with the remaining 1/20 answering "Bang Your Head"
  4. That's a pretty stupid argument. QR had a #1 Album. Feel free to list all of the chart positions for H.E.A.T's alubms Also, from Wiki (because I'm lazy) Metal Health is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Quiet Riot. It was released on March 11, 1983, bolstered by the No. 5 hit "Cum On Feel the Noize" and the No. 31 hit "Metal Health". Metal Health is notable for being the first heavy metal album to reach the top spot on the Billboard 200, replacing the Police's Synchronicity at number one in November 1983. The album went on to sell more than six million copies and is considered a classic among heavy metal fans.
  5. Into Another is one of only 3 songs I really liked on that album. The others were Firesign and Breakin' Down
  6. I agree. But walk down the street and ask random people to name a QR song and 19 out of 20 will spit out a covered song, with the remaining 1/20 answering "Bang Your Head" Don't get me wrong, I love Metal Health, Condition Critical and III, but what broke them, and then perpetuated their popularity, was that they covered some great songs.
  7. Saw Santa's Slay. Trailer was great, the movie not so much Had such potential to be killer (pun intended)
  8. Well fuck me. QR re-recorded someone else's song. there's a first. That kind of sucks. QR version is better though. Who wrote main attraction? QR were really just a great cover band....
  9. Obviously a remake of slave to love with different lyrics.
  10. THADEUS GONZALEZ Oakland-based singer/songwriter Thadeus Gonzalez has earned international critical acclaim, and has been called "a front man to watch" with "an arena looking and sounding attitude." Over the last several years Thadeus has fronted several bands within the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Area and by 2010 he enjoyed opening for various high-profile gigs throughout the west coast and commendable radio and video play before pursuing a solo career with Thadeus Gonzalez in 2014. A credible songwriter and guitar player, Thadeus released his debut solo record, “Utopian Society” in 2014. The title track demonstrates total rock bombast, alt and punk influences come through in “Your Needle Scratches My Vinyl” and “Literally.” While the lyrics are evocative and unusual, Gonzalez’s unique writing style is most evident in the sexy, moody “Our Connection” and the vulnerably revealing ballad, “White.” Typical review: "Around each corner a total surprise, which keeps “Utopian Society” fresh and relevant sounding from track to track.” Utopian Society was produced by Dennis Hill (Hagar/Satriani, Lit, Good Charlotte) and recorded/mixed by Kyle Homme (Matt Costa, Sugarcult, Reel Big Fish). Dennis (Face to Face) and Scott Shiflett (Face to Face, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes) contributed guitars, Pete Pacheco (Electric Sister) was on bass, and Nathan Walker (Lit) on drums. In 2017 Thadeus Gonzalez was signed to Spectra Music Group and his second solo record, “Silver Inside” is scheduled to be release in January 2018. The first single, also title Silver Inside is currently available on iTunes and has enjoyed a phenomenal amount of attention with national radio and video play. Silver Inside features Dennis Hill and Thadeus on guitars, Scott Richards on bass and Nathan Walker (Lit) on drums. Dennis Hill (Hagar/Satriani, Lit, Good Charlotte) also produced and Kyle Homme (Matt Costa, Sugarcult, Reel Big Fish) recorded and mixed the record at The Lodge. Thadeus has opened for KISS, Motley Crue, Slash and in 2017, Bon Jovi at the SAP Center in San Jose. Current performances are scheduled throughout the west coast for the remainder of 2017. Vocals & Guitar, Thadeus Gonzalez Bass, Scott Reategui Richards Drums, Rob Tucker
  11. Bump this because it's a shame that this album hasn't been heard (apparently) I've listened a tonne of times and found that I didn't post my two favorite tracks If this album was released this year it would have made my top 3 easily.
  12. So I saw War For The Planet Of The Apes. 2 hours 20 minutes. Another marathon. This one felt like Planet Of The Apes blended with Dances With Wolves. Long drawn out scenes to relay a story that could easily have been done as effectively in 1 1/2 hours. Nothing new here. Woody Harelson was good. I liked how they linked this to the actual first POTA movie with Charlton Heston. Aside from that... meh...
  13. Yeah, I'll be watching Santa's Slay I saw Transformers (the new one whatever it's called) No longer impressed with the effects, which makes this movie one for the nerds. Even with Mark Wahlberg in it. 2 1/2 fucking hours is far too long, story is just a rehash of others. Only really good movie was the first one, and maybe the second one. They can rinse now, I'm done. I have the latest Planet Of The Apes to watch. Hope that one is better. All the damn 'blockbuster' movies these days are franchise movies. Marvel, DC, Transformers, Apes, Star Wars, etc. Give me something new and interesting. It's been a pretty shit year for movies...
  14. Pretty much OH&S issue I guess. There probably should be some kind of course these people need to pass which involves an assessment to gauge how well they will be able to cope with various aspects of what they are in for. Social media critics Life after porn Dangers along the way - drugs etc I think they are all pretty well sorted on what the will/won't do, but they should probably be given the skills/support in dealing with being placed in unwanted situations.
  15. The clip was just something to put up quickly to get the song out. I'm not a big fan of it. I think it could have been easy to draw some footage from recording the song, and then blend in some arty B&W stuff with grain and effects etc. But as you can imagine, a 19 year old doesn't want too much input from her dad.
  16. Be sure to turn the volume DOWN for this one. Song is pretty shit, but there is babe-age
  17. Hold On To My Heart is one of the best WASP songs IMO.
  18. Not to interrupt the Xmas song countdown, but here's an additional one which is pretty cool.
  19. Got Robbie Williams concert tickets today. @ A Day On The Green Saw him once before and it was the 3rd best concert I've ever seen. Hope this one lives up to my hype.
  20. They really need to wrap it all up once and for all with the next and supposedly last movie. Will happen to the superhero franchises as well.
  21. Just got back from seeing Star Wars. Mixed feelings from me, but overall good. They have a fair benchmark to uphold.
