  1. Just out of high school I worked at the music festivals that still happen in Cadott, WI...Country Fest, Rock Fest, etc. I was a "stage hand" along with 4 other guys and the job was to get the musicians equipment out of the bus, trailer, etc. and assist in placement and set up on stage. Anyway, Little Texas was there one year and what a bunch of great guys. They hung out with the 5 of us after their show back stage just talking about everything, their lives, life on the road, one of them (the drummer I think) was getting married and how excited and nervous he was, and they thanked us for setting up their equipment, tearing it down, etc. I don't claim to know their music that well, but yeah, I'm a fan. Side note, another country music artist who was super cool is Vince Gill. He did pretty much the same thing before his show. Sat with us, asked about our lives, thanked us, etc. Now Tanya Tucker on the other hand....b-i-t-c-h from h-e-l-l...I have another story but that would put a negative on this thread.
  2. Yeah, I'm not much for covers because it seems a lot of bands choose the most boring songs. And I didn't care much for Reverse Tripped either. Had they picked some interesting songs to cover, maybe... Vains Of Jenna did do a cover of Refugee on The Art Of Telling Lies...pretty decent IMO.
  3. LOL...damn, don't ever point shit like that out on this board again Geoff. But you agree with me, right? That is surely a sex change? If not, there is a severe case of 'dude looks like a lady' going on there. For sure...being a fan of Tigertailz and all I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt and tell myself that was just some bad airbrush work in Photoshop or something. But yeah...wow.
  4. LOL...damn, don't ever point shit like that out on this board again Geoff.
  5. Now Jez, just know... I would give you the stars in the sky But their too far away If you were a hooker you'd know I'd be happy to pay If suddenly you were a guy I'd be suddenly gay You don't have to love their style but talented and very funny IMO.
  6. Yeah, I don't care for a lot of the songs on this one but it is nice to know it is a real copy, even though a crappy one. Thanks for the info Geoffo.
  7. I have a number of Perris releases and I totally agree, but this one seems over the top piss poor. I am totally confident the seller is a good one but I am wondering if this is a terrible "copy" or if Perris really put one out this bad?
  8. Those of you that own the Perris Records pressing of this... How is the quality of the inserts? Is is blurry and hard to read? How about the CD itself...pretty plain Jane? I bought a copy of this and I think it is a crappy job on this (I don't have any problems with the seller, he/she is legit). The tunes themselves are decent enough but the packaging is just crap IMO. Unless I got some knockoff copy. That is why I want your descriptions. Thanks. Jeff

I really like Heartbreak Station and Still Climbing as well. As long as it is quality and not something put out just to make money and below average tunes...then I sure hope the do.
  10. I do remember Restless Heart as my parents would have country hits cassettes playing in the house on summer days when I was a kid. That or oldies rock 8 track and vinyl. So, there are a few songs that I do like I admit...probably because they are engrained in my head: I'll Still Be Loving You Bluest Eyes In Texas When She Cries Tell Me What You Dream They do have a very melodic AOR sound at times but I cannot claim to have followed them much once I could choose my own music in the household...and mine was much much louder.
  11. I have some questions... Where was the chorus? What does "birff" mean? Did he use the words "pop your pimple"? Are cigarettes really "explosive"? Can rappers write lyrics for once that do not contain the words: gun, white, game, or an NBA players name? One statement... The guy standing against the wall bobbing his head was the best part of the video...because it allowed for some humor by Geoff and Rick. That was horrible. Never post here again. 13. Send him any empty jewel case...with tracking...see how he likes being on the receiving end of being fucked. I like this idea.
  14. I lost faith in the justice system during the OJ Simpson trial.
  15. Played that one the other day for the first time in a long time and damn what a good f'ng album. Every song is killer and some great ballads as well plus they really didn't sound exactly like anyone else IMO. Really good album and I really like "2" as well. Definitely one of those bands I wish had more stuff out.
  16. On the way back from Miller Park in Milwaukee, stopped in Madison and found these at a book store: Lizzy Borden - Deal With The Devil Michael Schenker Group - Essential MSG Metallica - Enter Mainhattan And this one via Evilbay: Loud N Nasty - I Wanna Live My Life In The Fame
  17. Agreed, it's a good one!
  18. Yep, I kept spinning this one this spring and it may be a grower but once it has hooked ya, it has hooked ya.
  19. Still have not watched what I DVR'd....opinions?
  20. Yeah, I just played the MP3's I pulled off my original and they sound real nice.
