  1. If I could find that for say $14 or less I'd buy it in heartbeat. Yeah, I had not ordered it myself because I wanted a price like that too. But the birthday came around and sister came through. I have a few others that I am trying not to break the bank but they are good enough to buy, Blackrain being one of them.
  2. Late birthday gift from the sis' arrived today... Dynazty - Knock You Down
  3. Hmmm, I have the original but not the remaster so hard for me to comment on sound differences. After this weekend I can try to remember to check out the booklet and let you know what that is like.
  4. Some 99 cent'rs at the local pawn shop: Huey Lewis & The News - Time Flies (Best of) Slaughter - Extended Versions 38 Special - Extended Versions White Zombie - Nightcrawlers: The KMFDM Remixes (I'm not a huge fan but for 99 cents the cover is cool)
  5. These are good...there was one about Brett Favre going to the vikings or jets too that was pretty good a few years ago.
  6. I don't stop by Goodwill much anymore but the few Stryper CD's I have have come from Goodwill(except for the recently acquired To Hell With The Devil).
  7. Shotgun Messiah - S/T Shotgun Messiah - Second Coming Lipstixx N Bulletz - Bang Your Head
  8. I set the DVR. Too nice a night here in west central Wisconsin to sit inside but I do plan to check it out. I'm not a huge Noah Wiley fan...he always looks like the surprised guy that will get his ass kicked.

    Diemonds

I went to see Wildstreet last night and a band called Diemonds was on before them. Now despite the lead singer, Priya, being absolutely a smokin' hot little spitfire on stage (black leather vest, pink bra...grrrrr) they sounded pretty damn good. So I grabbed both CD's one of which is new, The Bad Pack. I will report back once I have spun them but I liked what I heard live. http://www.myspace.com/diemonds/ And I cannot help myself but to post a pic of Priya....but really this pic does not do her justice. Her hair was like a black silk lion's mane. I have a photo of me with her that will post later that shows her beauty a lot better. But until then here she and go check out their music too.
  10. Stopped at a good size used CD shop on the way to the Diemonds / Wildstreet show last night and picked up some listening material: Josh Todd - You Made Me Stryper - To Hell With The Devil Quiet Riot - Guilty Pleasures Crank County Daredevils - Kings Of Sleaze Helloween - If I Could Fly (CD single) Kills For Thrills - Commercial Suicide Great White - S/T (finally found this one in a decent condition) Shout - It Won't Be Long Keel - Larger Than Live Tigertailz - Original Sin And from the bands themselves last night: Diemonds - In The Rough Diemonds - The Bad Pack Wildstreet - ...Faster...Louder EP
  11. Has the Shy - Misspent Youth been remastered? If not that would be my vote. Probably a full re-record would best but ANY improvement on this gem is a bonus.
  12. I'll second this! Welcome!
  13. Like many topics on this board I don't think there is a right or wrong, just opinions. It is fun to debate because it brings back memories of when you first heard the music, the video is awesome, etc.
  14. I like tattoo's as well. Have one from way back, the Dangerous Toys jack in the box. Probably would have done it a bit differently in where it is and how big it is but I don't regret it. Gonna a get a few more. Without reading all the advices above I will say that you really need to look at the tattoo artists previous artwork...I'm talking actual pictures of the work done. Note the detail, the color (is it vivid, dull?)...it has been a long time but to get vivid colors they used to have to set the needle to go deeper which not every artist did.
  15. This was a suprise that I really enjoyed from last year. I didn't get it until the new Whitesnake came out this year but it probably would have replaced Taking Dawn on my top 20 of 2010.

    Skull Daze

I'd have to check but I think this was in my top 5 of 2010, maybe number 4. Great disc!
  17. FarCry - Optimism Rockarma - Bring It Had to get my Pete fix this morning I guess. Pete can you cut your hair like this? -->
  18. I checked this out over the weekend and that first song New Religion I swore I was listening to a slightly less powerful Metallica song. Guess he sorta sounds like Hetfield IMO. They certainly start off with a song that is sorta Metallica like with the speed drumming, fast, etc. After that it tones down in to something more HH like. I never woulda thought Best Buy would have this. Might have to give this a few more listens and go spend a Rewards certificate that is somewhere in the back of the car...hopefully.
  19. I think you could argue it either way. Honestly if I was told I could only keep 1 of the CD's I would probably keep Don't Come Easy, regardless of Forever Young. In Strength's defense I would counter with Rescue Me, The End Of The Summer Days, The Last Sunset, Write Your Name In The Sky and Meet Me In The Night. If I ranked the songs, it would go like this: Wings, Nothing But Love, Rescue Me, Seasons, Last Sunset, Meet Me In The Night, Standing Alone, etc. etc.....so maybe Don't Come Easy gets an edge but not enough for me to whole heartedly say it is heads and tails better than Strength. Now, side note...did you say "first side" as in cassette? Wes, you so date yourself.
  20. I might just agree with you. I love the first cd but I have always been a huge fan of the second. Strenght In Numbers was the first Tyketto album that I owned so that one holds a special place for me. got the 2nd and that one was just as good so it is a push for me. My thought is that Don't Come Easy comes off as better because of Forever Young. Take that song out of the mix and Strength In Numbers is just as "strong" IMO (no pun intended...was that a pun?).
  21. Ditto! Can't wait, I'll have very high hopes for this one!
