  1. Because they were all about the Cardinals!
  2. How did I miss every single one of them?
  3. I recall a cover songs thread awhile back. For those of you that like cover tunes maybe you have not heard this one yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4E0iEsHqc6k
  4. It's so good everyone should have 2 copies!
  5. Where you guys order it from? Their Myspace page and Facebook don't have it or am I missing it?
  6. +1 on all accounts, including Rick being a freak.
  7. Great CD! Just to give my opinion on a few things, some relating to opinions above: Dance is a great tune! The one song I don't care much for is the bonus track Young N Crazy. Coconuts is a fun song, but catchy, very catchy...get over it and have a little fun. Fantasy a remake of Love Bites? Are we talking Def Leppard Love Bites or? If so, not even close IMO. More consistent than the first album BUT the first album had a few of the bigger hits for me where this one does not (it's just good and consistent). Overall, really really liking this one.
  8. I have stopped dropping in as much. Got some personal stuff going on, a little $$$ to buy CD's and I sorta get tired of sifting around some of the "game" threads that are so popular..."Song Game", "Song Connection Game", "The Name Game", etc. It seems some people are more interested in posting in those threads than talking music.

    Crazy Lixx

More good news: http://www.sleazeroxx.com/news/00778.shtml After releasing 'New Religion' in 2010, Swedish hard rockers Crazy Lixx will enter the studio this Friday to record the follow-up and the band's third album. The band says, "We will be in the studio til' mid-Nnovember and the album shall be finished before New Years 2011. The release date is not set yet, but somewhere around March 2012 is when it should ship out." Crazy Lixx is still signed with Frontiers Records and recently signed a publishing deal with Sony ATV. Crazy Lixx' previous album 'New Religion' reached both the Sleaze Roxx Top 10 and Reader's Choice Top 20 in 2010. The upcoming follow-up will be the band's first without drummer Joey Cirera who left the band in July -- his replacement has yet to be named. For more information on Crazy Lixx visit www.crazylixx.com and www.facebook.com/crazylixx.
  10. Just an update, looks like Spring 2012: http://www.sleazeroxx.com/news/00770.shtml
  11. Yep, I've been noticing this too. A few times I even see where they list as Like New and it comes cut out or punch holed.
  12. Yeah... not sure about switching games after the comeback the Rays had. I was watching the Orioles game on my local channel so I didn't have to worry about the network switching from game to game. I was flipping to the Rays game between innings though. Great to have some new blood in the playoffs. I'll be pulling for the Rays and the Brewers, though it wouldn't bother me if the Rangers made The Series. BREW CREW!!!

    Leather Boys

Did a search and didn't see a thread for these guys. Worth checking out if you like that gritty guitar sleaze with a touch of harmonica here and there. Let's see, they remind me a bit of Big Cock, maybe a bit of Dirty Skirty, Innocent Rosie, The Last Vegas...I dunno, I'm bad at the sounds like thing but check them out, full length tunes and even though it is Myspace it is formatted decently: http://www.myspace.com/theleatherboys
  14. I've had 2 spins through this one and I will sort of say what has sort of been said above... This has some pretty good songs no doubt, in fact some very good songs. I like it. That said, TM on vox would have put the very good songs over the top and lifted some of the average to decent songs up another level or two. For me, I have never found every song Shy does to be great and they have some stinkers no doubt but when they deliver they have a unique sound that takes me to a different place. Hard to explain but just sort of a daydream or other worldly type of place. Mill's voice is a big part of that IMO. So this is a good CD but it will not have that same effect for me.
  15. Great review for this one at Sleaze Roxx today...I am very much looking forward to this one.
  16. And here's to Jeff and everyone else serving to have a safe tour and hopefully you get enough relax time to rock out each day!
  17. Very cool indeed and certainly does not surprise me at all...great group of guys all around!
  18. Just an FYI - but matrix numbers are not a reliable way to determine if a CD is a bootleg...the numbers can match on a bootleg CD, the bootleggers can find out what the matrix numbers should be and put them on their CDs too. You need to look at what the matrix numbers look like, not what they actually are. Most record pressing companies have a distinct font they use (like Nimbus for instance). Ah yes, the Nimbus! Nimbus 2000 to be exact...wise choice for the young wizard. http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Nimbus_2000
  19. Is it just me or does the guy with the GnR shirt flipping us off look like Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman)? "You like me don't you!?"
  20. Arn: The Knight Templar A little slow. I liked the story and the cinematics but not enough to keep me from quickly getting up to grab another beer or look out the window now and then.
  21. Well, well, well...happy birthday sir. I am queuing up the Parasite City right now in honor of your day.
  22. Yep, mine says 1995 Cema Special Markets on the back (tray card) below the track list. I was mainly asking because with nothing written on the inside, not even band member names, if someone had finely sliced the rest of the booklet off leaving me with the front page only. But it appears not. Thanks guys.
  23. Their 1984 debut on EMI... Is the front insert just a single page with nothing on the inside? In other words, no booklet, no band info, just Great White in white on the black cover on the outside? Thanks.
  24. Just following up on this for those of you who have not paid much attention to this one you are missing out. This is excellent stuff. Best Buy has it on sale for $14.99 to order online only.
